Can't Touch This

#game_of_thrones #warhammer #hammertime

Glad to see Kevin Eldon back after he played Ned Stark in that acting troupe. Upgraded to King's Guard, just to get his head smashed in.

Sir Davos is so protective of the boy like a father and then bam right away BBF's Jon and is now one of the best currently active characters

His dad rocked a hammer. Makes sense he would too. I thought that was a nice touch.

Hope it can light on fire like that flaming sword, or its made of Valaryian Steel.

Gotta love how Davos was just like "nobody mind me I've just lived to a ripe old age" when Gendry ignored his advice.

As a parent, this is me every day.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He's definitely his father's son.

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

My immediate thought when I saw the hammer come out too.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

He's gonna die super hard

Super appropriate reaction gif

It would be great if he was Cersi's child. Does anyone else remember when she said she had a boy with Robert but they took him away?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I thought it was stillborn, and Cersi has had the 3 kids the witch predicted she would have.

Sploosh.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whats cool is his ol' man used a hammer.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Coincidence? I think NOT!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The coolness was kind of spoiled by how ridiculous that hammer is. The prop guy coulda just googled "medieval warhammers"

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

"Can I borrow your hammer?" "No you can't touch this"

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"I thought you were still rowing."

Best line of the episode

"Nothing fucks you harder than time"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I couldn't believe they put that in there... it was almost as if the writers heard us all over the internet

Christian Bale was great as Gendry this episode

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Perrin Aybara, Wheel of Time

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He is not that awesome yet.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hammers and axes would actually be better against the undead for they're heavier blunt swings

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Their* damn auto correct. Piercing weapons such as swords and spears lose effectiveness as they can poke through the rib cage and "miss"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well skeletons are vulnerable to bludgeoning damage XD

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Good observation. But a hammer is waaaay more heavier

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why didn't they take the gold back? That confuses me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing they don't care much for a handful of gold, considering they all (aside from Gendry) have prestigious positions with monarchs

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just before the arrival of the Dothraki & dragon Jaime asked Tarley if the gold was safely in King's Landing & Tarley answered yes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they were talking about the guards that were shaking down davos- who gendry killed with that hammer.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's what I'm talking about. Davos paid them off, then Gendry killed them. No one was in a rush. Money is valuable, right?

If Clovis had a hammer...

In the preview for next week, the hound is weilding the hammer. So....dont get attached.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Usually the props look great on Game of Thrones but that hammer looked like plastic.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Probably because it's cartoonishly oversized. The head on a real warhammer is a quarter of that size.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or dragon glass..

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think a lot of it was the movement. He tosses it around like it's made of papier-mâché, which is probably is

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Watch the scene where he puts the hammer into the boat. Puts it there with one hand. Not enough wrist strength to hold the hammer like that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe they saved all of the budget for the dragons

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

it is plastic, because its stupid big for a hammer.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like him, which means he's totally about to die

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Thus ending the baratheons line ):. I think him and arya will get together and reproduce them

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I'd pay for an HBO subscription to see that.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

But everyone already has HBO Go...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Doubt the actors would agree to that, but you could prob see it in an adult parody

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

technically not though, because Jon is actually Robert's son.... Bran has got to let that slip at some point

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Dude, no.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thought he was a targaryen? I'm all confused now

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I thought he was born to Ned' s sister whom Robert was in love with?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but rhaegar "kidnapped" her before Robert could marry her, so they never were able to get together

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

i wish they shrank that hammer head. thing must be like 50 lbs.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

It's comically oversized just like Robert's hammer, they made it a few seasons ago for some exhibit

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah, people vastly overestimate the size of actual warhammers. They just look like a regular hammer. Example in reply:

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Yeah, god forbid a show with dragons and ice zombies take a few liberties with warhammer size. ;) You're totally right though, TBH.

Weird! Imgur ate my comment. Maybe anti-spam detection or something.
