Hopes and dreams are truly fleeing my deep dark soul. FP edit: awesomeness :) send nudes! That'll do. X

There's no need to storm or rush, you're being paid by the hour not by the kilometer.

The company I work for is always hiring mortgage bankers. Paid training, long hours, hard work, amazing pay.

I work in retail too. I feel, ya @op

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

30 min break?! whaaa I get 15 min

Learn how to dress up your resume man. "Cash handling" or "inventory specialist" capable of "just in time ordering" seriously. Works.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain. I work at a grocery store. Retail sucks.

"I'm a loose cannon. I'm unpredictable. I stormed off, why can't I storm back?" What movie?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stormin Norman?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least you can pay your bills. I didn't go back and I regretted it!

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

I couldn't pay my bills even when I was working in retail

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hand it over. That thing, your dark soul…

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would say you deserve better but I have no idea who you are.

Quit and become a janitor you get to listen tp music and podcasts with no supervisors breathing down your neck in sight

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like what you did here. Although I wish I got a whole 30 minute break

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't worry, they know what they did. They know.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I nearly didn't bother coming back in this morning to my job.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Get back to work, slave! *lash*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dammit! Are you the one causing all these storms?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The struggle is truly real.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Got me, I actually laughed!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sometimes I go to work to escape normal life.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Shit jobs are just there to support great lives outside work right? Stay strong.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ty ,a rare insight to a happy life.I used to say it's how you make a living but its not your life. I have a whole nuther life outside work

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. Now, i once worked retail too, and i laugh now at the memories and miss the ppl terribly! So there's that

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can't just throw that word around all Willy nilly... can you?

I am retiring from my job in four hours ... FOUR HOURS!!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Enjoy retirement my friend.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you so much! Nearly out the gap!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive worked in retail, leisure, landscaping, security, emergency services and the power industry. Unless its basically your hobby, work sucks

So I should become a professional Dungeon Master? (DnD not the other one)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I make art for video games. I love it!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but when I was inspecting power poles, I didn't have to deal with shitty people... As much.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I enjoy working retail, tbh. And I hate talking to people and going to parties. Something about selling them shit makes it fun though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I work at McDonald's I recently decided to work somewhere else.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't mind my job most of the time. I'm a CAD designer.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except for pay and benefits

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's called "work" for a reason

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To be fair: my semi-administrative office job was decent. Office life is a slow death, but it never made me as miserable as retail

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm an EE. My job is pretty dope. I'm not one of those that actually does EE and tech shit at home either.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm a software engineer, and I program for fun too. Can confirm. There are shitty days, but it's a good job on the whole.

The real kicker eh?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How I was with sports journalism. Fun on your own time, annoying when you have deadlines.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which is why I sit behind a desk instead of being a woodworker, I get to come home to my shop.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah. Still have a passion for education. It's the lege & their BS I have no patience for. That & district politics. Fuck a bunch of that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's how I felt in school. I feel like a failure with a worthless degree sitting in my house and working retail, but I couldn't enjoy it.

Hell no, too much money. Thankfully I can study online from mentor artists for peanuts compared to university (I studied illustration), but>

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I also needed a job in the mean time. Soon, I hope, I'll be ale to work for myself. I just didn't click with school, I guess.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow 30 minutes? I wouldn't get a 30 unless I was on an 8 hour shift, those homeboys always had me on 7's.

8 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 2

Lucky i get two 10 minute breaks on an 8 hour(and hour lunch)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your may want to check into your State's lobor laws

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow i work an 8 hour shift as grill at Chipotle and I don't get a single break the entire shift

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I didn't have scheduled breaks unless I had a 7-8 hour shift. If I had to piss, I had to get the manager to cover my till.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get 30 mins every 6 hours. Trick is they never schedule me more than 5 & 1/2.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i work 8 to 9 hours shifts with no breaks. literally the only person with no one to cover anything.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain!! I do the same even on 10 hour days... Thank heavens I love what I do!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I work at Walmart, and we get an hour break for lunch and 2 15min breaks as well

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hell I'm on a 15min break right now

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I miss breaks. 10 hours every day, no breaks at all.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

As someone working five six-hour shifts a week with breaks almost every day I miss ten hour shifts . Mostly those paychecks but still.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Weird, in Canada you are required to take a 30 minute break every 5 hours

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

What, really? I only get one fifteen minute break unless I'm working at least a 7 hour shift.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Washington State is like that too

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ha! Someone tell that to my employer. Can't raise a stink about it tho, I'm easily replaceable (ima student).

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think it is state-regulated, because my state mandates a 30 after 6 hours.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only a few states do it, KY is one. Most everyone is good with it except one job i had

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anything less than 8 hours we got two 15 minute breaks. 8 hours we would get the two 15's and a 30 minute break for lunch.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

10 minute break for every four hours worked, half lunch for every eight. An hour lunch if ten hours worked.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Here in Aus, it's 15 minutes for anything between 3.5 -5.5 hours. 30 minutes for a 6 hour shift. 30 + 15 minute for 6.5 - 7.5 hours....

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We have it good over here

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For us it was <6 hours = no break, 6 hrs = 15 min. break, and 8 hrs = 30 min. break. If you worked more than 8 they gave you another 15 mins
