59 pidgey, caterpie, or weedle is the safe amount to maximize leveling. you can technically get 60 in there but you might be pushing time

How about grinding them up as you go? I.e. transferring post evolution to grab one more candy. Doesn't slow things down much

Lucky eggs give double xp for 30mins. This helps maximise xp. Pidgey/Weedle/Caterpie's are the easiest to evolve for xp and easy to find.

If the servers are being responsive, it's almost twice as fast to quit the game and reopen it after clicking evolve.

You should expand this idea slightly to allow for other pokemon which require more candy to evolve. I have a ton of Evees and Rattatas.

Haha, kind of, but there is a little more math needed than just that. If you transfer a pokemon, you get candy for it, and if you (1/2)
