If only we could do this to mathlab and blackboard.

Even the Chinese kids hate homeworks

Where’s Dave Chappell talking about modern solutions

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Makes me wonder how this impacts social credit scores, both for the children and the developers.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guys this didn't happen. Even the article people are posting as proof doesn't say it happened.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That’s a level of evil that one seldom sees in children.... good work!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If we were clever like this our teacher would find some unclever mean way to make it twice as bad to ‘teach us a lesson’

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shout out to all the kids under quarantine whose building just collapsed.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

stupid and only going against their own interest-nobody else’s. isn’t the app still working, just not available for future downloads, tho?

JIAN YANG!

I can’t help but notice that “Janus” is just one short letter away from “anus”.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And they cant even give each other high fives

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hahahahaha! Love it! The power of votes in purest form and in a communist country! ?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought the App Store didn’t exist in China...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Its shortcut for "Application Store" most likely Android one, not for "Apple Store".

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why is this even supposed to be a good thing? Is it better that they just laze about on the internet all day?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Of course not. But they’re kids.... I would’ve been overjoyed at the same thing when I was their age. I didn’t realize I was dumb.

I want her first name to be her last. And her actual first name to be Hugh.

unfortunately: 1-star review on a government app = -1000 social score points.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That’s some next level shit. I can see them spreading the message to everyone in quarantine, then having them text everything they know

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Source?

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

"what's the TL;DR i'm not watching an hour long video of a conspiracy theorist with jizz on his shirt" heh

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Why is everyone saying hello to each other in those comments?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Afaik there is no such thing as deleting apps after 1-star reviews.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 21

Their system delete apps of the average gets to one star but it didn't happen.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Believe what u want... Doesn't change a fact tho...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Holy shit that is some high level of teamwork for such young ppls! Thats badass!!

Yea that's a valuable lesson in itself

Almost like it's Asian Student level of badassery... someone make them allies, please. It'd be a lot of effort dealing with them as enemies.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

The power of asian friendship. It defeats any rival in anime

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

While being cheesy as all shit! Lol

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The power of communism I guess ?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Humans are scary when a large percentage of us agree on something.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This is why US Govt was formed as a republic, not a democracy.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That initially sounds profound, then kind of obvious. Of course tens of thousands of anyone/anything acting in concert would be "scary".

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For once it’s nice to see something other than the ones giving the negative reviews get removed in China.

6 years ago | Likes 256 Dislikes 1

Maybe if we all give China a one star review it will get removed

6 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 3

I think China downvoted you.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe the real negative reviews was the China we made along the way.

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Would be funny if giving it a 5 star review would give them an automatic 70% grade.

Yes

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That would NOT be funny. That would be in it’s inherent design.

6 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 4

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

A 70% grade is a failing mark in China.

I hear 99% is as well

6 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

In China you get graded 1-100, but that's just the fractions of the last percent to make 100.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure 70% only passes in American public schools. Certainly doesn't fly in the private ones.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Ha! https://www.studying-in-uk.org/uk-grading-system/ 70 - 100% is a A.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That scale is absurd. Half wrong is passing?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Having a high % doesn’t always make a test harder. A lot of engineering uni stuff in the UK consider 60-70% to be God tier. Because 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Different approaches to education in the UK vs US. Can't really compare the two systems and the pass/fail marks as they're very (1)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How can a 1 Star reviews = removed from the App Store? Wouldn’t it also require tens of thousands if reviews?

6 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 12

Yes.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To be clarifying, it’s not Apple App Store. It’s android third party app market. And they have guidelines about it.

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

You are right, there aren't tens of thousands of kids in China. Preposterous!!

6 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 9

It is a relevant question, no reason to be sarcastic.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I was referring to Wuhan. Also, Apple App Store Review guideline never mentioned that 1 Star reviews = removal.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 15

Why would they use apple? Those hardly sell in China. Try ZTE/Huawei etc.etc.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

High market pentration for Apple phones is mostly a thing of english speaking countries and japan afaik

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Wuhan has about 11million citizens at least a couple million will be students , that many reviews would not be difficult

6 years ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 2

Apple App Store Review guideline never mentioned that 1 Star reviews = removal.

6 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

I would think that most people in China - especially kids - would be on Android

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1) There are other app stores, but I find it unlikely any app store operating in China and hosting Chinese government apps would yank one

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Android was most likely used. If they have a policy to remove an app because of to many negative reviews than it's not really up to China.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Okay sure.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

2) based on reviews, or anything other than an order by that government.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

I find it unlikely any of those kids are using Apple. Android is the dominate OS everywhere. How do people not know this?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

People don't know they should be washing their hands for 20 seconds, and you're surprised they don't know what phone is dominate where?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because most people in the States use iPhones and assume the world does the same.
