Lilly shows us her method of using a bow drill to start a fire with raw materials.

Lilly has all sorts of videos on all different aspects of wilderness survival aka bushcraft

Lilly even uses guns from time to time, hunting rabbits and birds, and she also uses a bow.

One of the best things about Lilly's videos is that she thinks about different aspects and scenarios and how to work around problems with methods.

She usually includes the popular methods, rumors, and her view on them after attempting to practice different methods.

Survival Lilly does some pretty impressive wilderness cooking with very few materials, most of which she gathers herself, including local fauna.

I am not affiliated with SurvivalLilly or YouTube in any way, nor am I paid or compensated for this, just a fan and subscriber of her vids and her attempts to educate people on something she loves.

There is still wild frying pans in forests of northern hemisphere.

But does she drink her own piss?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thug as fuck

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what did she use to cut those logs? cause they seem like pretty clean cuts

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She looks exactly like i imagine a person that knows how survive in the wild would.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The ranger came and put her in the police custody.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it was you that set fire to the tree in the last post.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Survival Lily is a fraud. She's just really bad at what she does. So many better bushcraft channels out there (MCQBushcraft for example).

I've been subscribed to her for a long time, mainly just because she does it for own enjoyment of nature first, not just viewers.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, yes, the common, neon, yellow rope bush of British Columbia, a very useful raw material.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I like her bug out camp set up.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So hilariously overrated. She has no idea what she's doing.

Favoriting for if Trump wins

Thank you I subscribed. I can use all the survival help I can get!

Drink your own piss!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

@OP - she shouldn't be using a gun, guns run out and you can't replicate them in the wild, she needs to learn trapping

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I agree though. She does use a bow as well. The gun part was just for the benefit of us 'Mericans.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

She does know trapping techniques, I'm not sure if she has any videos on it yet though. She just posted a vid on making a net by hand.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll say it. Survivor Lilly is kinda cute.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 8

Does she take it up her bum

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Those glasses, though.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

everyone commenting on how you can't get pans in the wild... what about a fucking gun?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

angry much?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

more perplexed

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you want to survive, just bring @LindaDee

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There's no internet to upload buzzfeed tasty videos in the wild.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn fuck ! @LindaDee will also die ? So maybe we should cook Linda to survive.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Omg I love her I have been subbed for 2 years

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

WHAT REALLY?!?!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Guys, I think OP is survival lilly, lets kick them.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

No, I am MedicSailor, I've been on imgur since its first year

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 9

MedicSailor has 11 letters, 11 is just 2 ones, ones look like L's, OP is survival li11y confirmed.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

MedicSailor denies being Lily, or 11, so his name is also no-11. Lily is an obscure reference to Lily Marleen, a German song. (1)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No in German is nein, so his name is also nein-11. You have some 'splaining to do, my friend...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Also, imgurs first year was in 2009, your from 2012, don't try to be something you're not.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Oh so the inception of a persons account is when they first used imgur, not like I could have been lurking that whole time or anything

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

I don't pretend to be something I'm not, but maybe you should pretend not to be so asinine.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

I try not to argue over the internet so I'm just going to leave it at, 3 years and never decided to make an account sounds fishy.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Not really, my first 3 years in the Navy I was paranoid about using social media and getting in trouble for something on it, it happens.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Why would you want to use a bow and not a knife and flint?

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

The spark from flint and steel needs special tinder (magnesium or char cloth), but the coal from a bow drill will burn grass, leaves, etc.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've used it with dry moss, lichen, shredded newspapers, wood shavings... Worked just fine.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just flint and steel? I guess I haven't tried that as much; I should practice.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can make a bow out of stuff you have readily available in any area with wood, flint isn't always so easy to identify or find

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

It's not a given to have rope available at any given time or area. Depends on where you are, really.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

..................Shoelaces

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can make what's called cordage out of natural materials, and it works well and doesn't fall apart, there are vids on how.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Braiding rope is pretty hard. And unless you already know how it won't be that strong. I live by the sea though. Plenty of rope here.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I was 10 I made cordage from the bark of the bough I made a bow out of and it that bow shot 100+ feet accurately. Depends on the person

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's certainly time consuming though.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So why does she take a pan and a colander into the wilderness, but no matches?

10 years ago | Likes 502 Dislikes 9

Priorities my good lad

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly this.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

because matches run out, pans and colanders last longer

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If matches get wet, they're useless. As a bushcraften I'm a big fan of MCQ Bushcraft on YouTube. He's very thorough with information.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*bushcrafter

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Well, for one, a pan won't get ruined out by a rainstorm.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Comments like yours are the sarcasm I come on here for though to be fair : )

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 10

I don't see what her dating schedule has to do with anything

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Because she uses flint steel not matches

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, pans are great for keeping you dry while its raining. A drying pan, if you will.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

God damn it, Brock!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a nerd cook: Thats not a colander. A colander is a perforated metal bowl. That's a mesh strainer.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Otherwise known as a sieve.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Matches are a finite resource, better to have knowledge to make fire FROM the bush. Do you even woods, bro?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You can run out of matches if you're lost but you can't run out of pans

10 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

One time I was in the wilderness and a moose ate my pants.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The logic on this is so solid.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

...I must be using my pans wrong.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A bear stole my pan once.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain. A dingo stole my baby.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or the matches get wet

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Waterproof matches, fam

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

They have waterproof matches and you can put them inside a ziplock or a small waterproof container.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Oh, wait, you said pans

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cmon guys, those episodes are specifically about cooking using ingredients found outdoors, I'm sure she could make a bowl though.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 8

Just watched another video by her. Never knew you could make coffee from acorns! I should try this next fall.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You're nuts.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dont! Acorns are mostly poisonous if done wrong!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

in the UK during WWII most of our coffee was acorns

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thats actually where she learned it, her grandmother told her/ taught her about it

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can still buy dandelion coffee in shops

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The pan doubles as a bear deterrent and the colander makes a nice hat.

10 years ago | Likes 287 Dislikes 0

That's survival 101

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So she's not going to use her frying pan as a drying pan?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

False. Too much holes still got wet. Stylish though..

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

She could just use a frying pan as a drying pan

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Brock no

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So, you're saying she's a Pastafarian?

10 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 1

If she's caught without it she'll lose her licence

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Father, The Son, The Holy Noodle

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can I get a rAmen?

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

This needs more upvotes

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I would've said a Sauceror or a Pastamancer but that works too.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I carry a knife everywhere, when people as why I explain it's because it's a tool humans have used for thousands of years, so why not?

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 5

I think its retarded that some kid got suspended for a pocket knife in the glove box of his car at a Highschool. It's a tool.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I carry a leatherman around, never know when you will need pliers thing was the guy who said why do you need that was the 1st to ask for it!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Exactly. The very few days I forget my knife my gf or someone will ask to use it and seem shocked I wouldn't have it. They need their own!
