Cut Lego Circles
Cake didn't rise as expected, so thought I'd make a lego cake. Cut top off, make circles, then ice

Put more powdered sugar in your frosting... and beat the heck out of it... it'll taste awesome and be easier to frost with

Also make sure your cake is all the way cooled before you try to frost... it looks like your frosting melted a little on the cake

That's because the successful one is iced with fondant sheets that were molded to the shape of the cake. (1)

yeah better read up on using fondant :) before doing it... its not that easy the first few times :)

A true master (my mother) can give the same visual results and have it taste better with icing/frosting. Fondant doesn't taste good.

Next time use layers of sheet cake to cut and then purchase some fondant. You need to be quick with it but should be fun!
