This is the closest thing to a before picture I have

Our company golf tournament that I organized. This was September 2015. I'm second from the left.

A few years ago at my friend's wedding. This was my previous lowest weight at 290ish. I was at 342 when I started

In early December. Approximately a month in and already down 20 or so pounds.

Electric Sliding at a Gala in February just before I began running.

My wife and I on our vacation in the ides of March at Half Moon Cay Bahamas down 82 pounds at this point.

Freeport Bahamas glass bottom boat in March

A few months back when I was down 99 Pounds. I've lost 54 since then.

One of my most recent photos. I was down about 140 pounds at this point.

An action shot that my fundraising coach for St Jude requested. I'm proud to have raised over $4200 for this charity.

My most recent picture. Down 153 pounds. This is the first time in my life I've worn a medium sweater. I was in 4XLT before. 32x30 Pants when I was up to 48x30 before.

look at that chin. you could cut with it because it's like sharp or something. Serious though, congrats. Keep up the amazing work.

Seems like you aren't alone in that sentiment. Lots of people have said that. It's very nice of you to say. Thanks for all the kind words!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The most important bit of weightloss was in your face, though. And I'm not talking about the double chin... but seriously, good for you man.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's ridiculous sometimes. I don't even recognize me.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I am at 46x30 now so I take the challenge

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You got this! Eat less, move more. That's what it took for me. It's tough, but it isn't impossible.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It would have been better if they were all him sleeping on the couch!!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's an amazing idea

Farting on store displays and then to farting while running, priceless.

Turbo boost.

Not gonna lie you even look younger. Good work!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I feel 10 years or more younger. Thank you!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Young Bruce Campbell was a stud. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love these posts - you and others keep me motivated to get fit, get strong, and get happy. Thank you!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Keep it up. You got this!

Congrats on the jawline, too

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why thank you. Francine loves it too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So is the missus all over you like bears on honey now?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

She calls me Skeletor and gets creeped out because I touch her with heretofore unknown bones. :)

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

ROFL, is that a sex joke? If not it should be holy shit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sigh.... geologists....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is she opposed to a second Mrs?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's not quite as much of me to go around as there used to be :) Flattery will get you everywhere though!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's not quite as much of me to go around now :) Flattery will get you everywhere though!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you lose weight, people who knew you bigger do get weirded out seeing you smaller. I've struggled to find a balance between (1)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This. You can still be above an ideal weight and considered “too skinny”.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2) 'too thin to look healthy' and 'too big to be healthy.'

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are like two completely different people! You look great @op, don't take it too far though, you look a really good weight now!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is where I want to be long term.Short term I want to lose 19 pounds just to say I'm half the man I was. Then back to 185 or so. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve been working out recently, but my issue is that I looooove beer/wine/whiskey... so I feel like I reverse all progress every weekend 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Any suggestions? D: this journey is taking way longer than it should but I don’t think I’m strong enough to give it up altogether...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Counting calories worked wonders for me. Beer and alcohol are very rare indulgences for me. Luckily I never drank all that much. Keep at it!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sat staring at the first image waiting for you to shrink...

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Me too!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank god I wasnt the only one haha

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Me three.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What about the excess skin? Surgery? Girdle?

8 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 4

Make...make it into a sweater

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Flap of skin that you can stretch between your hands and feet to glide like a flying squirrel? Cause that would be neato.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Patagium!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have to wear tights when I run too because of my legs. I'll probably talk to my doctor at my next visit.

8 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 0

What about lifting to “bulk” up your legs a bit? Won’t fix everything but would definitely tighten things up a bit.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I have to do some weight training soon. I have lost a lot of muscle. Skin in other areas that won't be fixed by that though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm starting to seriously contemplate surgery for the skin. I think I'll try a girdle or compression top first. It's becoming unsightly.

8 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 1

My friend had it done, she has never been happier. Worth it after the weight loss

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like an avocado had sex with an even uglier avacado?

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 24

You're a bit of an asshole aren't you? Reference or not, let's not shit on the guy.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 24

It's a friendly joke reference, calm yer roids

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

One can tell that you lack empathy. If you really think it's friendly to joke about someone else's misfortune like that you are a sad man.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 13

I get the joke, but how is it friendly? It's one thing if this dude is your actual friend, but telling a stranger this is just a mean joke.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

Holy crap! Well done, OP. You look great. Nicely done.

8 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 2

Dat chin

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the kind words!

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

well done.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your wife must be over the moon too! Such hard work, you're setting a great example for everyone! Yaaaaasss

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She's been great. She pushes me and gives me motivation every day. She's the biggest reasons I did this. Didnt want to leave her a widow.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Holy shit guy you look amazing

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks so much!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow congrats man, I am just starting a journey of workouts and what not to see where I end up...I’m starting almost exactly where you did

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You got this. I hope you do better than me!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy handsome, Batman! You look so much happier and healthier. You're face says it all. Good for you, you handsome devil!

8 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 1

Your* that's embarrassing

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Don't even worry about it. Had a guy make a snarky comment about how I would gain it all back and said "To bad" I almost said something. ???

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahahahaha you should have! I would

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the kind words. I couldn't be happier right now. Looking forward to running my first half-marathon next month!

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

And to be honest, you're also likely to live longer, which is nice....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn. Great job man. I always wonder though: how does a spouse feel if they don’t take the same journey and have a similar situation?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's been supportive but it's also been a little difficult. She's successfully lost more before and is down about 40 now. I have a good one

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well best of luck to you guys man. That’s great.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unbelievable difference man! I literally gasped as I scrolled down.

8 years ago | Likes 448 Dislikes 0

Same.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, you look fantastic! Very handsome!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I know right? Impressive as hell

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you very much. I sometimes don't recognize myself in the mirror. This is in only 11 months without surgery.

8 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

What an inspiration, dude. I'm working on it, but I just started pushing myself. I'm at ~5 miles every day now, up from 1-2 three times/week

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Keep up the great work. Push yourself to smash those PRs. Don't skip rest day and don't skip speed work no matter how bad it sucks.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you keto?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

No, I simply count my calories and exercise 5 days a week. I'm currently training for a half marathon.

8 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah! CC for the win. I dropped 40lbs just from restraining myself. Back to the battle again after binging from stress.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keep up the great work! Everyone has some bad weeks and days. Don't beat yourself up.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well Good luck with the marathon!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Congrats! It's a huge lifestyle change many aren't willing to make and/or stick to.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Good work on the weight loss, I like the goatee loss as well. You look amazing!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's crazy!! You look completely different!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel completely different too. It's great!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You turned into your own more successful brother. The one that wears sweaters, runs 5k's, and owns a boat. That's you now.

8 years ago | Likes 2075 Dislikes 4

Looks way younger now, too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe he ate his heart and absorbed all his power, like they did in ancient times.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

i wanna be that one, noting this

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good luck. The dragons believe in you!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man, I really need to buy a boat! Ran my first 15K race this weekend. My first half is coming up November 12 in Las Vegas!

8 years ago | Likes 486 Dislikes 0

Good luck! Stay relaxed and you'll get through the half fine

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've run the distance in my training, and always doing great on race days. All the adrenaline and I hydrate and get my nutrition. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't even know there were races with that many K's!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Humanity is the best race for the 40k's

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait, did you run the hot chocolate 15k in Denver?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't, I ran the Novant in Cornelius, NC. I'll be running the hot chocolate in Charlotte though in February.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess Feb in Charlotte is about the same as September in Denver, temperature wise!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

have fun at rock and roll, its cold and dry, dress appropriately

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hope to have a great time. I can't wait!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

but it was a really fun event, there are little mini stages with live bands all over the place, and you get to see freemont street too

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ive rode support for the marathon on my bike, i was very cold by the time it was over

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ran my 15k in 50s and 60s this past weekend and it was perfect. I'm expecting more of the same out there. Is that about accurate?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@JeremyPost if you want to run a half marathon in Utah or Texas one fine October I'll give you free sign ups to mine. The Haunted Half

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or Salt Lake for that matter.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it's the one I'm looking at in Provo, I definitely am all in for next October. I can't imagine how gorgeous that run would be.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh hell yes! I'm all about free racing! PM me some more information if you don't mind.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Perfect gif use.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

God damn that was funny! Take my upvote

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okaaaaaay, that was ummmm, interesting...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been on a weightloss journey, but unfortunately it ends at the fridge.

8 years ago | Likes 443 Dislikes 5

There's always the journey back to the couch.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Joke or not, that's actually a great way to start. Best way to keep it off, is to eat right.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I lost a lot of weight recently, but I found most of it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I’ve tried to lose weight.. but I hate losing

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let's talk about the elephant in the room. That's you. (Me, too, but I'm not in the room)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

For a second I glanced at the comments and thought this said "I've been on a weightless journey." and looked to see if you were Elon Musk.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

End it there with something you can munch on for low calories. Pickles, carrots, broccoli. I have to stay busy or I boredom eat.

8 years ago | Likes 157 Dislikes 0

serious moment though, I actually love steamed broccoli and carrots. Started snacking on those, save money AND calories! woo!

8 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

I can't stand steamed veggies, I prefer the raw stuff

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wound up switching to drinking a ton of water. Hail hydrate and all that jazz.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fresh steamed green beans are my go to snack lately. I've just planted my own beans and carrots too, so can't wait for those!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I would love to plant anything but i live in sw Florida.... and I'm renting... also, your name is +1

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm also renting, I've just used extra deep planter boxes for the carrots and the beans in pots with bamboo stakes.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tried the pickles snack thing but got tired of shooting battery acid out of my asshole.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's my problem is boredom eating. Besides eating healthy stuff what else would you recommend?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I run a lot. I exercise 5 days/wk training for a half marathon. I volunteer in my community in a variety of ways. Lots of distraction.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Water, gum/mints, a banana if you're actually hungry. All things that help suppress appetite/cravings.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I try to stay busy on my rest days and the weekends. I volunteer in the community. I own a home so there's always something to do there.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Pick up a hobby as a distraction. I’ve always run/done triathlons but still ate too much. Picked up an older Jeep as a project. Kills time

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Do shit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Chug water whenever you're hungry. Seriously, it fills you up and accelerates weight loss

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm doing this. I love your progress pictures you're inspiring me. I'm down 19lbs in 2 months! I love running now. Makes me feel good ????

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Awesome job! Want to pick a half-marathon and I'll come run it with you? PM me if you do.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I will definitely let you know if I start to prepare for one of those. Weight loss is the main goal! :D
