i was about to ask if I was the only one who thought batman when they saw it

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A little understated in my opinion

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The best ideas in life are definitely the worst ideas

Dodge tomahawk ripoff

Yep.

Welcome to the Hot Seat.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't want my crotch anywhere near a blower... wait.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's not a blower, just a naturally aspirated intake manifold.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hmmm maybe I DO want my crotch next to it then...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So they made a bat cycle. Cool.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And yet the video shows the rider just kinda cruising... Let that thing off its leash!!

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I wanna see the thing try to turn

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It has 1 gear it seems.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It has 470hp. It only needs 1 gear.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In swedish "lasarett" is a kind of hospital. I guess that makes sense.

9 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

from Italian: lazzaretto is a quarantine station for maritime travellers. First one was in Venice.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many kinds of hospitals are there is Sweden?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Basic medium heavy and yogonnadie

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Weird thing: In France too, it was: an hospital for leprous.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now featuring a fuel tank big enough to finish backing it out of your driveway.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pssh. My skyrim character has more than 470 HP

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fuck you everyone who said extreme-g would never be a real thing!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

When dose it transform

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

sauce https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGmWm1i6pVo V8 Maserati motor

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The tomahawk was first.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm not going to lie. This made me hard.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can it go 185? Will I lose my license?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

mostly your life.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*facepalms* I saw 470 HP and the first thing that popped into my head was "a motorcycle has hit points?" :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of Warhammer Forgeworld Legion Bikes

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

turning radius..nope

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yup. like a tomahawk. or a bus. your take.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Soo... Dodge Tomahawk?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 wheels and a car engine (LS engine swap from the looks) its not a bike anymore. Its a suicide car

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It's a Maserati engine

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i'm amazed how any V8 becomes an LS here.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

KANEDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Akira bike !!

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Nowhere near cool enough to be.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now I have to break out my memorabilia.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah...no. nothing in common.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cursory search says 'dry' weight is about 900 lbs. And has better power to weight ratio than a cruise missle. Sounds about right.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

900lbs/480hp. below 1kg/hp. we're between a LMP1 car (1800lbs and about 700-900hp) and a Formula 1 (which has 900+ for 450kgs/1000lbs)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So, basically, not a cruise missile (explosive payload) but a rail gun (kinetic energy)? ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in terms of kinetic energy, you dont have a lot to talk about. 280fps to 350fps, you're in the airgun ranges at best.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so is it a bike or a car cuz its got 4 wheels

9 years ago | Likes 135 Dislikes 4

i was hoping for a motorbike/quad transformer

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At this point no one gives a heck

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

4 wheels is for all legal purposes (ie insurance) a car.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

technical it's a quad bike or ATV (but obviously without the A)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sacrebleu! -France

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But ... nobody says that anymore ...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 wheels = car. France fails again.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

Good point! "quadricycle"

9 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 0

Or quadbike

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

That would be oxymoronic. Quad=4 bi=2. That would make it a four-two

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Actually not, since the configuration matters, it is in Bike Configuration with 4 wheels. A truck with 4 rear wheels is still a truck.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or a 2x4 Truck, so that would be a 2x2 Bike. There are also 4x4, 4x6 and 6x6 trucks as well.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesn't matter cause it probably handles like a boat

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Definitely. Wheels as wide as that you're not leaning it, and with that length it's basically a bus.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would corner like one with that length

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It has 4 wheels so it technically can't be licensed for the road in the states.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on the state. In my state I see quads and side by sides licensed on the road all the time.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man, my state sucks. I'd gladly trade my KLR for a licensed quad.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait, it might be a farm license. In Iowa you don't even to have them licensed for farm use.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are definitely normal licenses. We have tons of farmland close by (idaho potatoes) but they are legal for city roads as well.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you report me? My message got deleted.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

done in ´03- the dodge tomahawk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XehkMQpeyA

9 years ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 8

Yeah i thought I remembered a couple magazines featuring this in the early 2000s

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember seeing this thing at an Auto show in Toronto around this time, blew my mind when I was 10, even if it was crap

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I remember watching this when I was 12.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking the same thing

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

only lazareth made several of these. which work, are road legal and can be driven fast. the tomahawk cannot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I concur, definitely a redux

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, what this guy said!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But the tomahawk was badly made and couldn't be used because it was impossible to handle correctly

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Well, how does the french one perform?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My guess? Exactly the same. Since it's pretty much exactly the same.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They say it's better but since I never saw it nor read a real review sooo idk

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But this one can change direction!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

They where also sold to customers disabled. For safety.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun fact:never figured the on road top speed of the tomahawk because the rider could not hold done beyond a certain point. Lab says >400mph

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

With the right fairings and tuck they could...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nobody has driven the tomahawk faster than 100 mph. Apparently it's "an automotive sculpture" and not intended to be ridden.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It shipped without the chain installed so buyers couldn't assemble the "kit" themselves.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd like to give it a try...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering the all-out land-speed record for a motorcycle is over 376mph for a 2.6L bike -- maybe, but there are a LOT of factors.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel obliged to remind you that the 2.6 liter bike featured over 1000 horsepowers and had a much more aerodynamic body.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I think that would go under "a LOT of factors" wouldn't you?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The two most important factors. I would not like to file them under "further details", contrary to the displacement of the engine.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not with the aerodynamics of a barn door. Fastest bike ever gets close to 400 mph, but with twice the horsepowers and a much sleeker design.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

376mph. and we're talking about an aerodynamic pill with 1000hp.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It even made it to 394 mph, but only on single runs. Anyway, that tomahawk would never even get close to that. No fucking way.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i double that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice. So what's its zero to death?

9 years ago | Likes 502 Dislikes 2

30

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

2 seconds

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

0.5 seconds in Detroit. You get stabbed as soon as you sit on it

9 years ago | Likes 224 Dislikes 1

I am from Detroit, can confirm

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

same, wanna meet up at slows barbecue some time/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Username checks out.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Depending on where you're coming from, you could easily get shot in Chicago on the way.

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Heh. Classic Detroit.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

This bike is the epitome of "put an LS in it."

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

b-but it's a quad cam mazeratti engine D:

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It has red valve covers so like basically the same thing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

He's thinking of the boss hoss I think

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

that i doubt. and an LS powered boss hoss? Cmon you need at least a Merlin or a Arias to qualify.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

sort of unrelated, but there are a number of sport bikes you can buy for under 10 grand that have sub 3 second 0-60s

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

We bought a cbr600rr new for 9k. Granted it was a two year old model still left on the floor, but 0-60 with a capable rider is 2.9s

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

nice. If motorcycles were invented today, there is no way in hell they'd get the OK for street legal use

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol you're probably right.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not brand new. But some used yes. You can almost have one with turbo and NOS. I think the cheapest one in finland was like 11k€. Hayabusa.

I know that those bikes can under 3s but busa with turbo+nos is just one step ahead. And you can almost have it also with 10k.

Nonsense. A strong negotiator could get an R6 and and a soft rear slick for €10k. All's left now is practising them clutchless upshifts.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are saying theres some country where you can buy brand new r6 with 10k€? I want to move there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Saw a floor model at a main dealer in Dublin for 10.8k last month. Used for demos/testdrives and had some nicks on the paint tho.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well if I did the exchange rate right you can get one in the US for less than that.
