I have that exact thing and used it just the other day. That plus centrifugal paint roller cleaner = successful easy roller cleaning. (in a good utility sink with high sides)
If done correctly then usually no, but the material tends to float to the top otherwise. So next time you paint, if it's a noticeable chunk you can just pick it out.
Take that with a grain of salt tho, I only do this when at work(repainting pipes typically), and that's just what I've done/seen.
