Only one country where this is legal

Found one of these, bathroom exhaust vent, terminated it inside the ceiling then put the fake pipe up top, so frustrating

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This makes me irrationally angry

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Nah, this is pretty rational anger

Actual functionality is in the extended DLC.

When you buy the cosmetic and thought it was pay-to-win.

A few days ago there was a post about new home construction needing inspections for this very reason. ⬆️

Sounds like a lawsuit against the last people to work on the roof~!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Obvious from ground it was slapped on top of roof with no hole

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Like putin a scoop vent on a honda from autozone

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A high-rise apartment building in Dammam, KSA, had all its toilets and sinks installed like this. There were no pipes in the building. @_@

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a decorative vent.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Oh, you wanted the Deluxe Edition

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A deluxe edition would be a fancier vent still not hooked up. What you wanted was the Working Edition.

Damn

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"Oh, wait, you wanted it to actually work?"

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

''but i can install it cheaper!''

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Game of life right there. Gotta pay for that upgraded content.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just had a new roof and multiple/additional vents put on. I really want to check but eaves are like 15’. Attic it is. Eeeeeshh

This reminds me of the gardening people my mother hired to take care of our front yard. They came and laid pine straw recently, and just¹

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

put that shit all on top of a bunch of flowering plants in the beds. Completely buried. What the fuck.²

Bought this house couple years ago. Discovered after a year that they placed a giant return vent cover over drywall without cutting a hole.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surprised the shingles aren't curled

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was working, just not as intended

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s like pockets on female clothing

Probably a flipper

As much as I hate the cost, this is the benefit of banks requiring house surveys for mortgages in the uk.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ours required a chartered surveyor before any agreement was made. Too many people tried to cheap out, and the report was rejected.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Banks don't require a thorough survey for most properties

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

True although we went for a snagging survey too which gave almost too many issues

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We get houses inspected here (Canada) they can't find most things.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They don't find half the shit here either. You still legally have to hire them and there is no liability for stuff they don't find.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hired some travelers, did ya?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m pretty sure that vent vented the inside of the vent just fine. Picky people. Signed.,Contractor

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pisses me off when contractors get lazy and screw up someone's house because they can't be arsed to do it right. We just had basement ...1/2

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

flooding because while the plumber did use dielectric unions where the inspector could see, where they were hidden he didn't and it ruptured

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Have to wonder if that's the problem with my room. Roof scary though D:

Didn't leak though did it?

3 years ago | Likes 627 Dislikes 3

bahahahahahaha ?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We rented a house near Phoenix that used to have a potbelly stove or something. It just had a hole. We kept taping garbage bags over it.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Surprisingly is still did somehow.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still nailed it on, id they didn't caulk the nail spots right, it will trickle leak.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who knows. Of they were dumb enough to just place it on top like that, they were probably dome enough to just screw it straight in no seal

3 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 0

looks like there is some sealant around the perimeter where the nails are, christ, the guys not a hack!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow fat fingers hit me hard here, my bad for the confusing mistakes

3 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

I think dome is when you need to say someone is dumber than dumbest, since a dome is an empty shell

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Had a "Handyman" replace mine. It was a power vent. Noticed it wasn't coming on, called him. "Oh yeah I didn't hook it up, I don't do elec"

3 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

"Oh great, here's my payment in the form of cowrie shells, I don't do cash."

3 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

What did you expect?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

If he isn't licensed for electrician work, he opens himself up for liability if he did hook it up for you.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Two wires and a ground. He had to unhook the old one, not like it was a new install. When I hooked it up looks like he yanked it apart

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe don't take the job then?

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is why you don’t pay for cheap labor

3 years ago | Likes 236 Dislikes 6

Nah this is why you find your landlord's address.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bet this was done cheap and fast!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But not good.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why you inspect work before paying

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's the thing, most people don't want to bother going up to the roof to check on a roofer's job.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, you do, you just also pay for the other labor to repair it later.

3 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Procuring of employment right

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is why America is going to fail and so is capitalism

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then what?
