When you have 200M Woodcutting experience

Yeah, he's got skills...

1 weorking, 6 watching, gonna guess it was one of the 6 who fell the tree against another tree in the first place...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sauce?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's an old trick, but still mighty dangerous. Go Grandpa.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a man with a lot of experience right there.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I kept reloading the page trying to move the camera up :/

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Fuckin boss

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very, very impressive. I've felled trees, but don't have that level of talent.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That look at the end: "You see that? Yeah. I did that."

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Never, ever, underestimate the old guy.

*axe drop*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is what experience buys you

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not quite what I expected. But cool!

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

He must be very experienced but that could have gone so wrong. IMO they are all standing too close.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bill: $3000

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

$5 for tapping with axe + $2995 for knowing where & how to tap

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's seems like more and more people are recording horizontally v

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can someone explain this?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you for your timely response sir

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This ain't his first rodeo!

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 3

This is his second rodeo

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

was the person filming this falling asleep?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Axe drop...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Those assholes didn't even applaud

8 years ago | Likes 441 Dislikes 5

Maybe they knew he was doing his job and accepted him doing his job.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

yeah, it's about time he learned how to do that. you cant hold their hand for ever

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They were in disbe-leaf

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

BOOO! +1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're in shock. They're trying to process the awesomeness that just occurred in front of them, from someone they've likely written off.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Too stunned. They're probably thinking about how their wives are all going to leave them for this boss.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I feel this is the most likely scenario. My gf walked by so i hid my phone, lest she know there are real men out there

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I would be too stunned to do anything other than stare with slack-jawed awe.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They were in awe

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did it make a sound?

8 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 5

"Wheeeeeeeeeee!"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would assume so.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the epilepsy

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't see any bears shitting...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, it's a Gif

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Perfection.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Of course, don't you see the people around?

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

they sound of silence?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Doesn't count, they're wearing ear protection

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Quality camera work

8 years ago | Likes 470 Dislikes 2

upvoting to agree with your displeasure

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thankyou sir

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a former commercial photographer, I'm just happy now a days, that they're filming in landscape, not portrait.

8 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 3

Shh you'll jinx it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well...if they were filing in portrait we have been able to see what he was doing. Lol.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

If they lifted the camera, we would have been able to see what he was doing.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yeah but that assumes some level of skill and effort. Lol.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Solution: film everything in 1:1 aspect ratio so then no one can complain.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, everyone will complain, but 'when everyone is complaining equally; no one is complaining'.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is why you keep a few old guys on your work crew. You don't keep them their for the muscle. you keep them to pass on years of knowledge

8 years ago | Likes 320 Dislikes 3

Depends on if the old guy actually knows stuff or is just a grumpy little ball of bluster unwilling to learn. We've had both on the payroll.

8 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 1

My father is the former, the things he knows about cut site operation/hauling astound me. He worked heavy equipment mechanic for logging.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

My grandfather once dropped an engine block on his foot because he was too stubborn to listen to us young'uns

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Unless you work in IT. Then those "years of knowledge" are basically worthless.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

I disagree....We have legacy systems out in the field I know nothing about but this old dude on 3rd shift is a wizard at.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Continuity and capacity planning, and general project management practices are still the same. I've hired old and young. Both have merits.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, their knowledge on how to handle customers to make them happy, deal with bureaucracy, etc. are still useful.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bullshit they are. There are many more skills and there is much more knowledge you learn on the job than specific stuff that gets outdated.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

i work as a mechanic and am mentored by a guys with YEARS of Knowledge its very useful and educational

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Yeah, tell that to employers.

So much this.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 young people, on part time schedules, so nobody gets benefits. Think like a CEO.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As a lumberjack, that is not how that's done. That was super dangerous.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 10

This, cool but can't agree more.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

"Super" dangerous? Really. C'mon.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah but it looked cool.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Take the extra minute or 2 and don't get it hung up in the first place.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As s lumberjack also, this technique is not dangerous if done correctly and is very effective if you don't have the right tools with you.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Spotters should be 2 tree lengths away atleast :s

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can you please explain how it should be done? Not trying to be a smart ass, just curious.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would use wedge blocks behind the log and a rope in front to try and pull it out so everyone can be far away.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The amount of danger is directly relative to the skill of the person to foresee the outcome. We have video proof this was not dangerous!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

The guy leaning against the tree barely moved, that's confidence!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"They didn't get hurt, so it wasn't dangerous."

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*luck

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Absolutely, I'm a huge believer in luck, and the more you put effort into thinking about what will happen, the better luck you have.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I especially like how you criticize but don't actually say how you in your 1,000 years of experience would have done better.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 8

he did though

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except he actually did, 2 hours ago. you just didnt open all the comment replies.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Out of interest.. how would it have been done properly?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Get your drunk uncle to tie it to the bumper of his truck. 1000% safe.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Hahaha, this guy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, A) try not to get it hung up in the first place but B) either use wedge blocks and ropes, or pull it with a winch line from far away.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

I can only hope this was a sort of "if you have absolutely no other options and this thing needs to come down now" demonstration.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The way they were all neatly arrayed within striking distance of broken flailing branch concerned me.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You mean all the branches that they cut off the tree before it was felled?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

it's a snagged tree, you don't know what the upper branches could do.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Level capacity has been reached. +0 exp

8 years ago | Likes 2426 Dislikes 6

Magikarp?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Accurate.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

World quest completed. +20 million AP

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eh figure he gets xp in being able to teach.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You got skills!!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Listen up you whipper snappers!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

this is why you keep a few old guys on your work crew. You don't keep them their for the muscle. you keep them to pass on years of knowledge

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 2

The mustache is a good bonus

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This is what happens when you have 200m exp on wc

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I have 200m exp on toilets too.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Needs to buy the DLC

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

It's Ubisoft, so it has been delayed and will most likely come with multiple patches.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Level 99 woodcutting... he should be chopping Magic Trees damn it!

8 years ago | Likes 250 Dislikes 0

Gratz

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just Legendary the skill and start over.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Is this a runscape thing?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It is a Runescape thing.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I miss OSRS when it wasn't OS.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I personally enjoy current OS better, but that could be because I've progressed further and discovered how fun barrows is.....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also Wintertodt is a lot of fun. Inb4 "Oh it made the skill too easy!" Firemaking was always easy, and useless anyway, who cares?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've heard that cutting Redwood in OSRS actually yields a higher exp/h than Magics, though I may be wrong.

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Your name is golden.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't get it
