Now I wish I could hear him sing that beautiful poem

Haha, I thought the reason was because her sign was blocking other people's view.

Every time I hear cold play all I can think about is the song Yellow and how id watch MTV every morning eating a bowl of cereal before school. No idea why that music video integrated so heavily in my memory

The only band that can reliably make me cry

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

let's talk is still fantastic, the opening for me feels like waking up, well-rested on a sunny morning

I proposed to my wife to the song “Sparks” 15 years ago.

It was perfect.

Thought that dude was a D bag....not sure why.... hmmmmmmmmmm

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At first I thought he was going to make it all about her height. But it was deeper than that. Well done.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I don’t know their music or really care to but that was nice to watch. He seems like a good guy.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You know how I know you’re gay?

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good man.

8 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 3

Aw shit. I give Coldplay a hard pass because I’m not a fan of their music. I find it vanilla and boring, but they seem like such good blokes and a great sense of humour.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not a fan either but I like to see bands really appreciate their fans.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m a tall guy, and have always tried to be considerate to shorter people at concerts. But I have to stand somewhere! What am I supposed to do?! Hunch for 3 %%^*+!? hours ???! I don’t even like going anymore cause I get so much flak.

8 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

As someone who is not only tall but extra wide, I've always been extra concerned about blocking people, and just decided from an early concert-going age that the back of the venue was just going to forever be my area to experience a concert at. I've never felt, pardon the pun, short shrifted by having to do this, I'd rather be able to fully relax and immerse myself in the experience and I can't do that if I'm worried that I'm blocking a bunch of people.

As another tall person... I enjoy it. They book leg room seats and recline...I get to gigs early.

From one tall dude to another, this is our anthem: https://youtu.be/d9uXxlKDZX0?si=x5OQrfYJ-GZraBTs

As a short person, were use to it. I never fault tall people for their height. It’s just something I have to live with.

As you and I

All men are brothers
Until the day they die

Oh dear, it looks like the poor sod got modded by someone completely unfamiliar with Randy's satirical songs.

That's real tough coming from someone in shin kicking rang

Excellent poem. He did a good job picking. She did a good job creating.

...you know how we write "lol", but barely react and if we do, we note "actually lol'ed".
Know I'm scared that there actual onion ninjas in my room... and I don't cry.
WTF is it which such a dirt-simple poem, being so touching

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" ( attributed to Leonardo da Vinci ). That's only one reason why this poem is so good. The other reason has to do with it being elegant at stating emotions in 3 ways: good, clear & deep. It's truly excellent. It seems to me "dirt-simple" implies the poem might be less valid because it is not pretentious. I am not complaining or judging you (esp since "onion ninjas" is hilarious so I kinda like your comment) .. but I think simple + elegant = awesome.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah, no "dirt-simple" is not meant in a derogatory way. Just tried to encompass the idea of "down to earth", not pseudo-deep with frills, but honest, pure and to the point.
I'm not happy with "dirt-simple", but didn't have time to come up with sth better

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey, you did fine. I'm often too careful with words and it gets me exactly diddly. I am going to repeat myself .. "onion ninjas" is hilarious!! :-)

I saw them about a month ago- one of the best concerts I've ever been to, just an incredible spectacle

Where is this

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Coldplay at Soldier Field 2017.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

did they hand out glowy sticks/lights, that are centrally coordinated?

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, they’re given to everyone, is a fun system for big venues that do it :D. Haven’t had one in a few years tho so wonder if the price is just too high.

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's at least 4 people

8 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

At least!

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh come on trump had way more.

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We might give them shit, but Coldplay are good guys, and they also play along with all the ribbing we give them. I like them a lot for that.

8 months ago | Likes 355 Dislikes 3

We give them shit cuz their music, well, yeah. But being a popular meh musician is targetry for fuckery.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're ribbed for our pleasure?

8 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

8 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Hahaha 🤣 you beat me to it. 😆

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't feel strongly about them either way, actually. They're ok, I guess. I /am/ gay though.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, i hope you didn't take this GIF as an affront or condesencion. My apologies if you did. There was no offense intended. It's a scene from the movie "40-Year-Old Virgin." It always pops into my mind when I listen to their music. I thought it would be funny here too. I am not gay but I kinda like Coldplay.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't really mind things like that in context. I am not a fan of homosexuality being used as an insult, but honestly, from the bits I've seen, I'd expect a 13-year-old's sense of humour from a film like that. XD I'll judge the film for perpetuating that, though, not you for having a brainworm and sharing it. ;)

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah they were extremely arrogant and obnoxious when they started but they appear to have mellowed out.

8 months ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

They are their own label, gotta keep the fans happy. I have mucho respect for them once theor songs started making the club circles as remixes by good dj's

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They were ? : o

8 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah there were a few times in the early 00s where he (Chris Martin) said some nonsense like the "next song I release will be the best that's ever been written by anyone." Real Kanye-level narcissism. Can't any any direct sources though (it was over 20 years ago).

8 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I have 0 awareness of the quotes and really don't have much of an opinion on Coldplay, but like I don't mind over-confidence in your own material. I expect every musician to believe their the best the same way if I follow any sports player I want them all to believe they're the best. It's when it turns into the upstaging Taylor swift and that kinda stuff that it turns into a problem for me. You can be your own biggest fan, but don't make it everyone else's problem.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ok. Ok... Early career narcissism I can allow. I can see how sudden fame can do that.
