Do I necessarily agree with murder? No. But do I feel remorse for the UHC CEO death? Also no.

Dec 10, 2024 5:28 PM

I am a leftist. Hardcore believer in socialist policies. Medicare for all! Etc etc. I know many conservative people who also voted for Trump that I thoroughly disagree with. But for once we all agreed on something. Health insurance providers are corrupt and greedy and that the murder of this CEO was self-inflicted.

Now me personally I'm not going to join the murdering part because I'm not capable of such acts of violence as I feel more like Vash from Trigun. But if my best friend Wolfwood decides he wants to go out and take evil out, I'll tell him why he shouldn't and maybe try to stop him but I'll love him regardless. (Hope I have some original Trigun fans out there. No I haven't seen the reimagining yet.)

he should run for president; would be the secondist felon to win

Why did the employer snitch on him?

Now this is a much better outlet for 2A fetishism.

Healthy? Maybe not, but when has health been a priority in the US anyway?

I hope it's not a fluke but a trend and I make no apologies for it.

Oh, I think the future Rapist In The Whitehouse will be joining the country together real soon.

Given being a felon is not a disqualifying factor anymore, maybe he should run for public office?

A murderer united America.... If a criminal can be the president, why not...

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wonder what's next... Hopefully you'll leave the rest of the world out of it. Thanks

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm genuinely stunned how many Republicunts I've seen tacitly supporting this, albeit less openly gleeful.

Not that it means much as they're going to go right back to voting for more of the same barbaric healthcare systems, it's just interesting to see them right on the verge of self-awareness.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Self defence. That guy was a mass murderer.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The sad thing is, evil wont hesitate to kill while good never does. There's a reason why the phrase "The good die young" exists and not one for the evil side, as far as I know.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Live fast, die young, leave a good looking corpse"?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He should run for President, after he gets cleared of these bogus charges obviously!

"PEACE AND LOVE! PEACE AND LOVE!" (But also Wolfwoods' cross. Yowza!)

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I'd vote for him

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Gotta be careful with this take as well. While he united people over a common hatred, he could also have some messed up views on certain things. We don't know him well enough

Hopefully he's overall a good guy. Either way, this act felt justified and I'm glad several CEOs got worried

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm not surprised you all united against healthcare CEOs. The USA has the worst healthcare system in the world, because it's actively worse than no healthcare system at all.

OH NO, YOU'RE ILL - WE'D BETTER ALSO EXPLOIT THE LIVING FUCK OUT OF YOU UNTIL YOU'RE DEAD, AND THEN WE'LL PASS THE INSANELY HIGH, TOTAL-BULLSHIT DEBT ONTO YOUR NEXT OF KIN TO FUCK THEM OVER COMPLETELY TOO.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing you're lucky enough to have a nationalized healthcare system

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, although the previous conservative government tried their hardest to dismantle it for profit just like the GOP will do to the ACA

Not all Americans, at a minimum Musk and the McDonald's worker have openly spoken out against them.

1 year ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

I have a difficult time believing that anyone could properly ID him based on what little info we had. Apparently a patron told the employee it was him and had them make the call. It sounds too fishy to me, and seems like a cover for some illegal spying tech the FBI employed to track and capture him.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well, the McDonald's worker and some little church going cunt that thought turning in the CEO slayer would make up for the kids his pastor raped that morning.

1 year ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 4

Musk isn’t American

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The discourse should be, "they are threatening the American way of life"

The solemn promise that the working people won't be hindered by unfair dealing. That they could grow and prosper under the rule of justice and fairness with just hard work and trust on the Country.

You cannot prosper with them in the middle. They are a THREAT for the America way of life, gobbling up their money and even refusing to pay for a service people already paid up.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's unfair and criminal. It should be a moral duty oppose to it. For the future of the people, because the greatest ASSET FOR A COUNTRY is their PEOPLE.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You realise that has always been bullshit though, right?

I think a couple dozen people need to go to police stations and all turn themselves in as the shooter.

Democrats talked about all the changes we needed to make to the healthcare system, tackle corporate greed, etc.

Trump joked about being able to shoot someone in broad daylight in the middle of NY and nobody caring.

This guy went and did both. *I* might vote for him

damn they just hand them out?!?! :O

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*With purchase of Luigi of equal or greater value.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Luigi is just one of 5000 (minimum) potential suspects who fit the description of the guy who assassinated CEOs. Even if the jury doesnt like him killing a rich douchebag, it wont be hard to cast a shit ton of doubt on whether its him or not

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

For real, though. A handsome white guy with a hoodie describes a good portion of the people I went to high school with.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You would have to convince the jury that all the "evidence" of the murder weapon, fake IDs, and manifesto were planted on him during his arrest. That is notoriously difficult to get a jury to agree to.

My kids played it when they were about 7.
I'll definitely train them to cover their tracks better & throw away hoodies & rucksacks immediately after they shoot a CEO

1 year ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

But not in a public place where it'll be easily recovered.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Picturing Luigi chasing the CEO around like an imposter, and the CEO turning into the dead crewman with the big bone sticking out of him, is a fantastic mental image.

Bahahahahahahahahaha dear lord. How religious was the person who wrote that

I... don't even want to know mate. But again... its the gamers fault it seems. Gaming just makes violent i guess.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I imagine it's less that the media wants to vilify video games specifically and more that they need this guy to be public enemy number 1, so they're throwing out anything they can in hopes that something sticks.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Not like we could have stopped the news media from showing it

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

You mean the pic with a completely different jacket that was a different guy? Or the other one that was a different jacket with a different guy? Are these idiots going to realise that this means nothing?

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

TBH, I'm not sure what decision I'd make for the $50k reward money.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Use the money to hire more assassins?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He's not even going to get the reward. Only eligible if they called the tip line. The call was made to the local police. Luigi was outed for nothing

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I wouldn't turn that guy in for it. 50k is really not all that much money anymore, and I wouldn't want that money in exchange for being one of the most hated people in America.
Unless he WANTED me to turn him in.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Are you kidding? 50k is a life changing amount of money for a lot of people. I don't think I would've turned him in, but I can't say I wouldn't be tempted

Your honor my client COULDN'T have committed the crimes because he was with *checks current tally* 329,875 people in 238,089 different locations at that time.

1 year ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

Hey man you fucking forgot dude, he and me thirty other humans were a 1000% partying from 12-3-24 into like noon on 12-4-24 in a superbus in Wyoming and just fucking railing lines of strippers butts. So make sure you tally me and them on in those numbers ya heard?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Going to be honest, if he truly is capable of being with all people in all locations at once, I'm not sure that's an alibi anymore.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

True but also consider if he's truly capable of being that many places at once does he even NEED an alibi

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fucking hell. Activate the reserves.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they found him a week after the murder carrying the murder weapon, tons of fake ids and a hand written manifesto, perfectly identifying him as the shooter? come on, thats a setup.

1 year ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 5

This! I'm not much of a conspiracy theorists, but I gotta say it's mighty convenient that he was id by a member of the public and just so happened to be carrying all this evidence at the time, including a perfect explanation of his motive - well how'd ya be?! Such bollocks!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So his outbursts as he goes to court totally means they have the wrong guy? You are putting a wreckless emotional 20 year old as a hero. No thanks.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 59

How old does one have to be to be a hero?

1 year ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Reckless and emotional he may be, but also right and justified

1 year ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Maybe it’s time to start realising there’s 1 CEO for 1 million people they’re actively hurting. An emotional 20 year old can at least be forgiven for being emotional, young and naive in their ideologies. A CEO is just plain fucking evil and just plain doesn’t care.

1 year ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 3

They don't forgive you for the emotion you have before a killing. All of imgur is speaking as if they've been in the system or are ready for it, dumb.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

We are mate… except the ‘system’ is one that the CEO’s of the world have built and put us in regardless of if we want or deserve it or not. If you create a game that 95% of the population can’t win, why the fuck would that 95% keep playing by the rules of the game?

They fucked it up and maybe people are realising that it doesn’t matter if you end up in prison cause we’re all already in one… this guy at least made us all realise that the enemy isn’t each other - it’s rich fucks like this prick.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or he didn't mind getting caught at some point.

1 year ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

The part that's confusing me is that prosecutors are alleging that he had $8k in cash, plus a couple grand in foreign currency. So that means he was trying to flee the country, but you certainly can't take a gun with you through customs so...?

Maybe he was planning on holding onto the evidence until he could secure transportation and then dump it right before he left, thinking he could continue evading without leaving an evidence trail behind him? Idk it is a little weird

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Even if he was. Why would it not be in his car, or home? He just carried it in a bag with him to go grab lunch? Like, what?

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

From what I read he was traveling and the bus stopped there for lunch.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Traveling by snail? It was a whole week. He was only a single state over. Thats a few hours trip max. Aint no way he was just roaming bus-lines in Philadelphia for a whole week without dumping the evidence.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably assumed that if it was found, it would get tied to him regardless, so better to keep it all on his person.

Not the smartest move, but understandable if that's the rationale.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

We wasn’t even in the same part of the country by that point. Holy shit a random gun was found in Pennsylvania? No fucking way. Impossible, it had to be the murder weapon of that CEO.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's certainly possible. But unlikely. It feels like one hell of a reach.

"Crooked cops planted evidence on a sacrificial lamb" is also possible. And we know that's a thing that happens. A lot.
So that certainly seems the more likely of the two options.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That makes no sense. You take the stuff drive to the middle of bumfuck nowhere and drop it in a creek. Ideally several different creeks for the different items.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Or you go out fishing and drop all the evidence in the ocean.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats a little more involved and obvious than a minute stop on a bridge.
