Kianga the Incredible Polycephalic(two-Headed) Sulcata Tortoise. Kianga’s only malformation is situated in her spinal cord, just after the neck. The spinal cord has a ‘Y’-junction, allowing her to have two heads each with a perfectly formed brain and cervical spinal cord, two tracheas leading to one set of lungs, two esophagi leading to one normal sized stomach and one beating heart.

I wonder if each head goes through life thinking there's always another tortoise near them with no respect for personal space?

Amazing. Woah.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How does it decide where to go?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bet they fight each other quite a lot...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so both heads have the same name?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Right? Shouldn't it be Kianga and Bianca or some such.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Why do animals look cooler than people with two heads

9 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

their heads are smaller, not such an impact after the neck.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because it's easier for people to notice irregularities in things they're familiar with.

One of them looks kinda shy, I wonder if he'll ever come out of his shell.

Abby and Brittany go to the pet store

This is not one tortoise with two heads. It's conjoined twin tortoises. Not that they care what you call them, just clarifying.

Cannot up vote enough

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Wouldn't that technically be two tortoises with one body? shouldn't they have two names?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They clearly missed the opportunity naming the heads "Michael" & "Angelo"

How the hell is it only now I notice the entire evolution line is named after German numbers?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Deino and Hydreigon have their numbers cleverly hidden but Zweilous is more obvious. That's where I noticed German numbers in first place

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also 'ein' and 'drei' are more English-like than 'zwei'

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Think of how much they are saving on rent though!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope they get along

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would rather say dicephalic or bicephalic, instead of polycephalic, since its specified to have 'two heads', and not 'more than one head'

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So theoretically if we had fully formed structures we could have two heads as well?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ain't that what siameses twins are basically?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Abby and Brittany Hensel are very close to this actually, though they probably have a separate set of internal organs.

[*]Teenage [x]Mutant [*]Ninja [_]Turtle (x=Yes, _=No, *=No data)

I think all turtles are teenagers because their organs don't grow old and frail like ours do.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So "Maybe Teenage, Mutant Maybe, Ninja Non-Turtle - STMMNNT" Okay got it

All tortoises are turtles. Not all turtles are tortoises. You can check turtle!

Juvenile mutant sulcata tortoise! Juvenile mutant sulcata tortoise!

Juvinile mutant sulcata tortoise! Tortoise with a Y-spine! Esophagi!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Turtle is often used to refer to the order. The order includes tortoises. So I think you can check yes for turtle.

Considering they can grow up to 10 inches in just the first few years. I think the odds are it's a toddler. So the acronym still works.

No one ever reveals they are a ninja...

Here's the real options for ninja: [__] Yes, shitty ninja. [__] Maybe ninja?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you see a ninja, it isn't a real ninja.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Unless you're the target... we need the fate of the cameraman right bow!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But how do they control the body

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also if there are two fully formed brains why only one name?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sorry to have to ask, do they die at the same time? What if one has a brain tumor, just one head dies?

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I'm no doctor, but I imagine if one head dies the systems will start shutting down and the other will die as well

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

depends on the interconnectivity of the two brain stems, if there are two brain stems. Afaik it's basically uncharted territory

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

they also share a heart...i cant imagine it would live.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why? It's not like the heart needs two brains to tell it what to do. (It barely even needs one)
