It's perfect cause there's a turbo tax ad right under this post

9 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

I have no ads at all. For some reason, I only get ads in every second post on the mobile app

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I have an ad for Asian friend network. Insert *Kinda racist stereotype* joke here

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a brit, my taxes are automatically done for me. Does everyone in the US have to do their taxes themselves?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes we do. Brits don't have to do their own taxes? How does that work? I thought everyone had to do their own :S

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a swede I get a summary from tax services saying this is how much we see you earned last year, and we have taken this much in taxes 1/x

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and you are due X amount back cause we took too much over the year. Ok? log in on our page and authenticate. If not, edit and hit send.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course, if you have sold property or stocks etc you have to send in a physical copy of that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Money comes out of my paycheck every month. Everyone has a tax code. I'm sorry I don't even know how to explain it lol

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In the US taxes are also taken out of every paycheck, but you have to file a return to make sure they took out the right amount.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

only self-employed need to do it (cause they deduct expenses). for employees its just done automatically. in romania

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Homer loves Marge because he has abandonment issues (from his mother leaving him). Marge loves him because his imperfections satisfy 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

her need for everything to be "perfect and wholesome". Something her sisters have outright rejected.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

interesting to note that her sisters are the epitome of "anti-perfectionism" and are generally characterized as sleazy and "not woman-like"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is probably because their mother (or father) imposed these ideals onto their children so much so, that the children became "burdened"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

with this social etiquette. As such they outright rejected it. Despite this, they still cannot escape their upbringing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They hate Homer because he is the exact opposite of a "perfect husband in a wholesome family"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HA jokes on you, im an unemployed full time college student. All I have to worry about is crippling debt.

9 years ago | Likes 161 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

and depression

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm a full time college student too. It's been tough, I have to have a job, but I've not had to take out a loan yet. Makes me feel good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a freelancer it is the opposite, I get a five figure bill. Joy.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

you should do your taxes, you can get a refund

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Can't tell if sarcasm or stupidity.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

college in the US costs money, the US government counts that

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He goes to college most likely on student loans, which are not taxable. If he had a scholarship on non-qualified expenses, then maybe.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wait, please explain? Got any links?

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

ZERO disrespect to you, but it is infuriating to know a college student hasn't been made aware that there are some good reasons to file.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Trufax bro.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any money you spend for school can be used as a return. Tuition, books, supplies, etc. if you have receipts you can get it back

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got every cent back that I spent on books and supplies and got a good chunk from my tuition

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I worked part time during college and always got back more than I paid in.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I received a $2500 tax credit this year. So long as you're paying the tuition (loans or otherwise) you should qualify for some credit.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

turbotax.intuit.com just go do your taxes here(it's free for federal), the US government tends to reward its students quite well

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

College tuition is tax deductible.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrekt

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What's that last word you used? Look at it again and explain how it will help this guy.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

you still need an income and to have paid taxes first.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Apply anyway. If you're eligible, yay money! If you're not, you're already not making anything back so no harm done.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think you just have to have paid for university yourself, its a 2500 credit and you can get back 1000

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not for some tax credits like American opportunity
