Stephen Spielberg had better not fuck up the BFG, that shit is my childhood.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Holy fuck. BFG? Man now I need to go watch the animated movie again, the last time I saw that was on VHS.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There is just no way the Inhumans is going to translate to film. Shit is so weird it barely works on the comics.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

TIL Alan Tudyk and Mads Mikkelsen will be in Rogue One. Five bucks says Alan Tudyks a nice-guy pilot who [REDACTED].

2019!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT INCREDIBLES 2 NOW GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is exciting, but weird to think about movies releasing in 2019, even though it's only three years away (about).

10 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

Same as I thought, I saw the title says in the next 4 years, and when I came to 2019 I said to myself he made a mistake,2019 is way more...

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

...four years away, dummy me Õ_õ

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hold the fuck up, Dr Strange is not a failed surgeon! He was one of the greatest neurosurgeons in the world (if a bit of a dick) 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Idk his original back story, but Disney changes tons of stuff in adaptations.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't mind minor changes, but making Strange a failed surgeon would be like making Tony Stark a failed inventor of Cpt America Russian!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Donnie Yen in Star Wars?????

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Donnie Yen in Star Wars!!!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

wow they're really beating the dead horse that is Marvel aren't they

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Rogue One has a huge cast but just one girl? Like, I don't usually complain about that kind of thing but just LOOK at that sausagefest!

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Following the time-honored tradition of not caring very much about having numerous female characters in Star Wars.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

At least they have the black guy

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Still curious whom they'll end up casting as Captain Marvel. Hopefully someone who can look and act the part, not some feeble-looking waif.

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Hopefully anybody other than Ronda Rousey (which is rumored). She is awful.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 13

I'm guessing the people that down voted me didn't watch The Ultimate Fighter when Rousey coached against Tate. She is a grade A CUNT!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk if she's awful, but she not an actress, so I hope they don't cast her in the starring role of a major motion picture.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Remake, remake, sequel, sequel, adaptation, original, remake, sequel...

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Wait, which one's the original?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

from the looks of it, there are 3 truly originals. Good Dinosaur, Moana and Zootopia (I think)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Moana looks good - The characters are actually shaped like people, not like stick insects like they were in frozen

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Lilo and Stitch did this as well.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The incredibles sequel will be 15 years after the original. Now that, is incredible.

10 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

NOT REALLY ANCHORMAN 2 AQND DUMB AND DUMBER 2 AND ZOOLANDER 2 ARE ALL THAT LONG AFTER THE ORIGINAL

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wasn't it release in 2003... Ohh shit that's a long time .

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I refuse to believe that I'm that old.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What about Spider-Man, And "Ant-Man and Wasp". Also the black panther and inhumans dates have changed

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Spider-man is still Sony though right? Also inhumans have hardly anything to do with x-men.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They meant that the Inhumans will serve the purpose in the MCU that the X-men did in the comics due to property rights.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Inhumans work better with the Avengers anyways, the X-men always kinda were their own thing.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

True.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sony and disney struck a deal to allow spider-man in the MCU. He will be in civil war and then get his own movie july 28th 2017

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Which makes it a Marvel movie being distributed by Sony, not Disney

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

why are they making a sequel to Burton's Alice? that thing was a steaming pile.

10 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 19

Objectively, it performed well. Subjectively, I feel it's justified because it was a good movie.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

It made money.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You mean Johnny Depp in Wonderland right?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Amen, it was a piece of shit trying desperately to be American McGee's far superior take.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 9

Neither really do the original stories justice, but if you're going to go the insanity route, the McGee version is just SO much better.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...I liked it.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

That's just like... your opinion, man.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Your reply to Sgt Cookie is oddly apropos to your original statement.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

because my original comment was like... my opinion, man.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A steaming pile that made a good deal of money. It was back when Johnny Depp+weird hat=box office gold.

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Yes, this is the answer. Because it was a steaming pile that made a boatload of money.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah, not expecting too much from that one...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Alice 1: Shame on Burton for making me believe. Alice 2: Shame on me if I ever step into it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It made over $1 billion at the box office

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Was just going to post that....

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

When this happens just upvote and move on. You don't need to tell us.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

The directors of "Toy Story 3" refused to make it unless they could write an outrageously great script. Let's hope they do the same for #4.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

OH LOOK PIXAR ARE DOING A DAY OF THE DEAD MOVIE I WONDER WHERE THEY GOT THE INSPIRATION FOR THAT

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

I really enjoyed the movie. So different than a lot of the usual animated films.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

at least they should release it on the day of the dead. Which is 20 days before, on November 2.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude Cracked made a podcast about that too. http://www.cracked.com/podcast/why-3-total-strangers-invented-harry-potter-at-same-time/

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry I've been really getting into the cracked podcasts I really enjoy them.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NO FUCKING WAY A BFG MOVIE!!! WITH BILL HADER?! DUDE THAT WAS LIKE MY FAVORITE FUCKING BOOK!!!

10 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

So what's BFG stand for.. ? Because I can only think of one thing and it's not really Disney like....

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Big Friendly Giant

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Big friendly giant if I recall correctly. I used to love the book it was great.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah! I looked in the comments to find more excitement about the BFG and was sorely disappointed.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm excited too!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why are we waiting so long for Incredibles 2?

10 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 0

Hopefully, because they're busy.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

hopefully because they want to get it right

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

If I recall, the director wasn't going to do a sequel until a story was done that outperformed the first movie.

10 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

Looking at all these weak cash-in sequels, I'm so, so glad he did it that way and was allowed to. The first film was impeccable.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a pretty good reason.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If only they did that with video games as well.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

You can count on Bethesda for that.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I'm not too sure about that, recent games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim were astonishingly shallow on plot. If anything, Bethesda perfects LORE.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, FO3's plot was just shit. From the look of the achievements FO4 will also have a very linear plot, and I'm not lookin forward to that.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I would also argue blizzard

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't give a shit about the live-action remakes, but everything else has my attention.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Also, POTC and Cars 3 can suck it.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It doesnt make sense. Disney already has a live action Jungle Book... And it was GREAT.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It does? Since when? I never heard about this.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All I remember from it is being deathly terrified of quicksand.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That frickin' orangutan and the sound it made when it jumped down the well!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, but I thought Burton's Wonderland was actually the story of Through the Looking Glass, and they just went with the recognizable name.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Goodness, no. It was a new story using the characters as raw materials, with no regard for what he'd find in the books if he opened them.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

lol yeah, none of that stuff was in the books, I think it was more like a sequel to the books if anything (though very loosely so)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So what about the one about the daily lives of cats and dogs??????

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's illumination an universal studios company

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ohh. Thank you

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Remaking Pete's Dragon is a Gob Bluth level mistake.

10 years ago | Likes 211 Dislikes 1

Just called my mom and told her we are going to go and see it. It's her all time favourite. Now I'm reconsidering this

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's pretty much in the can now

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Amen, brother...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They most certainly won't hear that jingle jangle soooouuuund - money money money by the pound!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I forgot about that disturbing song until this moment. thanks a lot

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes thank you. Tis a shame.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Favourite Disney film of all time. So much so that I'm afraid to watch it as an adult for fear of it not being what I'v built up in my head

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have felt the same. It never comes on anywhere so I've not seen it in maybe 25 yrs but I loved it back then.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Candle on the Water is like the best song from a Disney movie, if you ask me.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pete's Dragon might have been one of the worst Disney movies ever made.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If they ruin that film I will not be happy, loved watching that when I was a kid.

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

That was my favorite tape. 9 x 9 is 81....

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I broke two tapes from watching that movie so much as a kid. Drove my mother to insanity.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Right? How can you replace Mickey Rooney and Helen Reddy? Easy answer, YOU CAN'T.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I count 4 original properties. Thats just insane. So many remakes, so many sequels, so many adaptations.

10 years ago | Likes 253 Dislikes 8

There are more original films coming out right now than there have been ever in the history of film. This is Disney.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Although.. To be fair, that's sorta what Disney has done since the very beginning.

10 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 0

yep, and they've done it well lol

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Toilets and boilers, boilers and toilets. Then there's that boiling toilet...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't see the problem, a good movie is a good movie. Familiar is fun.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You realize every Disney classic is an adaptation or reimagining, right?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

You must be new to Disney.

10 years ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 2

TIL Disney is the Nintendo of movies.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

not just disney. The whole industry is just constantly recycling and refreshing existing films

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Oh look, apparently that dead horse hasn't been completely pulverized yet.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lion king was the first Disney movie with an original story. For 30 years before that movie 100% of their stuff was adaptations.

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hamlet, you fool. Hamlet.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Loosely. All movies before however, were proper adaptations of the stories (Snow White, etc) as they were originally written. P.s. Yo mama.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Also Hamlet

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I think you mean Strange Brew, eh?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except The Lion King was an adaptation of Hamlet.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

A very loose one. All movies before however, were proper adaptations of the stories (Snow White, etc) as they were originally written

It's the same director, so I would hope so.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bard Bird did say he wouldn't make a sequel until he had a script as good or better than the first, so here's hoping.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Is Brad Bird. Guy makes incredible films without exception.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

The only reason they havent made an incredibles 2 yet is because he wont accept a script that isnt better than the 1st movie

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

No wonder it's been... holy shit, 11 years.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 256 Dislikes 1

I think it would change the story too much. They still need to be a family, but maybe Violet getting ready to go to college and Dash in HS?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My jaw dropped when I saw 2019. Fuuuuuuu

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I know. I'm thrilled that there will be a sequel but the wait might actually kill me

I wouldn't mind a little aging (Dash in high school, Violet at college) if it works better for the plot, but I doubt either will be over 21.

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

right, i just mean like they are still all living under the same roof. maybe violet's in college living with her folks, but at their 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure Toy Story 3 trumped Toy Story 1 & 2 success and awards wise.

Inflation

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Um, Toy Story 2 and 3?

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

It's Pixar, they have a good track record with sequels. Toy Story 2 and 3 were good.

movies tend to be lacking. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're right, I haven't had a problem with Pixar's sequels. Only problem is that it's restricted to Toy Story 2 and 3. Disney animated (1/2)

Cars 2 wasn't

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eh, Cars 2 was okay. I've definitely seen worse.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cars 2 was never meant to happen. The merchandise was just so insanely popular it was decided to make more movies. Cars 2-3 and planes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 out of 3 ain't bad.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Monsters University, Lion King 1.5

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Monsters university was a prequel

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Lion king 1.5 was meh, but lion king 2 was fantastic.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Lion King 1.5!?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lion King 3 in some places. I think it's mostly about Puumba and Timon.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you kidding me? CARS 3?!?!

10 years ago | Likes 465 Dislikes 7

IMHO cars was the best Pixar movie, and cars2 was definitely the worst. I'm hoping they are in a hurry to fix it. #fingerscrossed

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Someone needs to put a stop to that and Toy Story 4 before they ruin them anymore. Cars 2 was awful as well.

May I introduce you to the land before time #47264749383764

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. That movie franchise rakes in a ton of cash and bankrolls a ton of smaller projects. Little boys love the movies, and the merch.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

BEFORE Incredibles 2 as well

10 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

Kids love the Cars movies. Sure they're not as good for 30 years olds, but they bring joy to kids under 10.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Merchandise baby. Think of how much Cars shit you see around.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

CARS merchandise pays for all the stuff we actually like to watch.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gotta milk that that already half dead cash cow.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm more upset about toy story 4. We all had a happy ending, why do they have to mess with it more?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Merchandising gold mine

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Serious question. What's so bad about cars?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like it or not they make tons of money of merchandise.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey now, I think the first Cars was a great movie. Maybe they'll get over the Cars 2 funk. I still think Incredibles 2 should come first.

10 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 6

I can't be the only one that thought Cars 2 was better then Cars 1...

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 8

same here bruh

Yup

I think you are among a very small group, my friend.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Cars 2 was too Mater-y.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

thank you! i was so disappointed by it because i loved the 1st one.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cars 2 sucked.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's kind of like how Finding Dory focusses on a different character in the same world. Cars 2 was a story about Mater, not Lightning.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I actually enjoyed both of the first ones and plan on seeing the third in theaters...I feel I am alone on this

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You're not alone. My wife thinks it's childish so I'm hoping to have a baby so I can watch these without judgement. Plus Lego :)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm with you. I think both were great.
