Drone Racing

Needs a small pilot on board for dramatic crashes

looks a little hard to follow and enjoy...

Drone *controllers.*

Source?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

to all of you haters out there. The connection is that drones sling around and maneuver exactly like podracers, not planes, cars, etc...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I noticed a grand tour logo at the end there. Maybe season 2 will have the three racing against each other at some point.

Dada didilla dada didilla dada didilla

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Now this is pod"--- nope. Using star wars to generate interest in something that's pretty cool by itself just feels stupid to me. Sorry

Yippiee

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now this is POD RACING!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Can I be the one who shoots at them?

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Now THAT'S a sport! *Gets Airsoft rifles out of closet* I don't wanna ruin their hobby... just muss it up a little :D

I don't understand how some people can think so fast and accurate. Or am I just getting slower?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*lowers newspaper, rolls my eyes, and sighs* now this is podracing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did they fly into the "Grand Tour" tent at one point, or am I just seeing shit?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't the Saudi's do something like this with jet packs?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I watched this while out for dinner, it was cool. I agree with the comments that disagree or shame you though for trying to point whore.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They should put guns on them and have them battle each other?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well I don't know does it really really bring us ANY closer to pod racing??

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where's the extreme closeup of Anakin saying, "NEAT" when I need it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All I know is at some point in my life I'm going to be chased by drones, and I'm not looking forward to it. But I kinda am.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

camera man right now

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is one step closer to star fox

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so its basicly a video game ?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

16 started and only 6 remain; as the losers were summarily executed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why is pod racing even a goal

8 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 5

The way I took slaba's comment is that pod racing is like a poor man's sport. Two giant engines that pull an unpowered pod. If you were 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

educated, technologically advanced, and/or wealthy you'd build an x-wing or better. Pod racing is redneck, drones are high-tech

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Personally, I'd like to hear the sound of a RadonUlzer startup in person, so there's that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The podracing scene and plot may not be your favorite, but podracing the sport would be fucking awesome IRL.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

if podracing had a chance we'd still have group B

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We need more "Yippiee"

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Now THIS is drone racing!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not into racing in general but I could get behind drone racing.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

military will probably try to hire this guys.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Maybe the army will hire good gamers someday to control tanks, ships and aircrafts

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DRL is sooooooo much better

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is drl. Source: am part of drl

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can i get tickets cause im a fan

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, plane racing is a thing. . . that's been around since like the 1910's . . . sooooo . . .

8 years ago | Likes 279 Dislikes 10

And soooo we've shrunken the planes down to pocket size, strap remote VR headshots on and pilot them through mind bending maneuvers for fun.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This is closer to affordable.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Check out DRL. There are bigger courses here in America i think they have been going since 2015. There is a local group in chicago where》

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I live, i wish i could race but having a fps system and money for constant repairs and upgrading or fiddling gets really pricey.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I am decent with my little prebuilt racer that i take out and play with practice tricks break something and then wait til i can get the 》

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Spare part

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But I do not have money to buy an airplane, fuel, or even a license. I can do this though.

8 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 0

I think he meant that as old plane races was basically pod racing back then?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well it's future of pod racing you can't afford

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Similarly cheaper to do RC plane racing...which is a similar investment as drone racing, scale and equip depending of course.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, let deadly to the pilot

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Less deadly*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How is this closer to pod racing than, say, rally cars?

8 years ago | Likes 124 Dislikes 9

Moving in three dimensions?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone's saying "nothing", but I disagree. We can make these much more vicious! People are less likely to die if a drone crashes and burns

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because of all the "Yippie"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think this comparison comes from a YouTube video of racing quads flying through trees. Which closer resembles speeder bikes, but whatever.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey! You take your anti-clickbait logic and get outta my comment thread you filthy animal!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or plane races? Or those crazy speed boat races

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

considering we took a good step back after group B got shut down..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It isn't. They just say that to get more clicks because Star Wars is popular

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It's honestly a few steps backwards from pod racing.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Rally cars can't fly

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Le mans cars can

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Okay, just hop on in your drone we'll see which one can take us down this racetrack faster.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

K *equips vr goggles*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not sure why you'd be wearing be goggles while sitting on your drone.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't ride a drone, you fly it from the ground. It's safer, less energy consuming than what amounts to massive flying formula 1 cars 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And it looks like a mini pod race from star wars. That's why it's closer than rally cars. 2/2
