This is why we need mandatory vaccination

At this point in time, we know enough about vaccines to know that they do not, in fact, cause autism or any other sort of condition. Mandatory vaccines could save lives like the boy described in the facebook post. There is no reason NOT to.

This is why I detest antivax sources like Infowars. Children like the one in the picture have died due to parents listening to sourcs like this.

I really do hope this facebook post isn't serious. Stuff like this breaks my heart.

I'm torn. On the one hand, how terrible that children died due to such ignorance. On the other, these people should not reproduce.

Betcha these are a troll

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I really think that not getting children immunised should actually be a criminal offence.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Only thing my state Mississippi is first in that I'm truly proud, 99% vaccination rate because its mandatory for school.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I am pretty sure that the Catholic schools and Ontario, Canada it is also mandatory.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Vax doesn't hurt people. It puts a dead virus into the body and allows the body to experiment on it and such. Know your enemy. Not harmful.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's an interesting way of describing the immune system...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She can't change her mind now. Then she would have to admit to herself that she had a hand in her son's death.

8 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 2

I'd be fine with locking her in a room with nothing but reminders that she killed her child by refusing to learn basic science. Therapy 1+

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 cannot begin without her admitting this. Or she'll just try to kill again.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not saying the vaccines are 100%, but would you rather die from some bs while young, or would you rather die later? I'll take the ladder.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm well aware that vaccination is the correct (and only) choice, but just to play devil's advocate, there must be some cases where it 1/

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

causes some severe adverse reactions, right? We should be honest about that or you're just confirming the paranoia. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Some people have allergies or medical issues that prevent them from being vaccinated. No one is calling for them to be vaccinated.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just allow the anti-vaxxers to thin their herd. These will be the same people that will keeps us from stopping the asteroid.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Children shouldn't suffer and die because their parents are idiots/assholes. Sort of the reason we have child protective services.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Long live natural selection.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's be fine if there wasn't an innocent child killed in the process.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just like the post I saw about vegan parents giving their 6 week old a vegan diet and the boy died weighing like 3-4 pounds. It's upsetting.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What is a vegan diet for a 6 week old? They should be on breast milk or formula until 6 months!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a troll post.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

my first reaction was to check the messages...also don't stick your dick in crazy

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You can't vaccinate an infant for whooping. Vaccines can and do cause permanent damage to some immune systems. But yes she is stupid.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I mean it's good to bring up issues like this but this Facebook post is clearly fake.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not that I like to give anti-vaxxers any break at all, but her baby was too young for the pertussis vaccine. She prob didn't get hers tho.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I read this as whoopee cushion.. was really confused for a second.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like this isn't a real post, but who knows. Stupidity knows no bounds!

8 years ago | Likes 615 Dislikes 6

This particular post could be fake - but sadly I know people way too many that have taken an anti-Vaxxer stance

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read about parents like these all the time.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You must live in a nice area where you don't have to encounter people that are actually that stupid. I am jealous

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Haha, it's true. Haven't run into any anti-vaxers (or even many extremely religious/culty) people here in NS.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My sister, otherwise intelligent, is even convinced that vaccinated kids are the ones spreading the illnesses. She "did her research". Yeah.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's real. It's on the Anti Vaccination Australia Facebook page.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That level of ignorance should be criminal.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm with you. This has to be satire.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yup, "Edit:" gives it away.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 5

Scientist active on social media here. I see shit like this all the time. I've been told to die for promoting science (truth).

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude we have people in first world countries working for "god"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure people like this exist. But this specific post is obviously fake, people don't word things to make such obvious own-goals.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Just as bad are parents who want to rely on prayer/faith healers. Un fucking believable.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We currently have a measles outbreak due to lowering in vaccination rate.Hundreds of cases+a few deaths.That1may be fake. The crises is real

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Couldn't believe it either. Checked out just 1 anti vaccine group on Facebook and am chocked to say, that they're beyond ignorant & crazy!

8 years ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 1

have a look at the forums online, it's fun in that way that makes your teeth fall out

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying that they aren't this crazy (they are), but groups like that are often infiltrated by trolls who poke satirical fun at them

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Keep in mind its at LEAST half trolls when you read that stuff.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

chocked

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are vegan parents that tried feeding their baby apple juice and soy milk instead of formula or.... breast milk, the most natural fuck

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

-ing choice, but no, they thought apple juice and soy milk was better...... they are happily in jail, the baby however.....

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

So yes, people are that ignorant. And i agree with willful ignorance, real research would show that if that was their stupid choice to

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Raise a baby vegan then they would HAVE to breast feed, and so the baby had all the nutrition they needed the mom would have to also take vi

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Vitamins and all kinds of crap, but the baby would need breast milk, period. Unless there's a vegan formula now...... idiots

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"I prefer to watch my son die breaking his lungs from coughing so hard, to admitting I might be wrong!"

I can only hope he divorced his stupid ass wife and or at least stopped breeding with her.

Hopefully both

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

She should be charged with fucking murder because her stupidity got her kid killed

8 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 5

Involuntary manslaughter, but still

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Involuntary my ass.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's involuntary in that there was no direct intent to kill.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is fake, the fb account that posted this had 1 friend and was just a few hours old.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Source?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I reallt hope so.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

*really

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Honestly, I'm just sad for everyone here

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can't vaccinate a 1 month old, they're too young.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

You can't, which is why moms are encouraged to update their TDAP shot in the 3rd trimester; it covers the baby until they are old enough.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Ah ok. I was going to say this makes no sense. But thank you, I'm not a parent so I don't know how this works!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

https://www.cdc.gov/features/tdap-in-pregnancy/index.html Sending a link bc I found it fascinating :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mom's dtap only gives some antibodies for a short time. Baby can still catch pertussis from public areas or unvaccinated carriers.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not just moms. And one who will handle the baby. I'm a dad and had two TDAP vaccinations.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dad getting a TDAP does not inoculate the baby, that's why I brought up mom getting poked. Everyone around babies should update their TDAP.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Dad getting TDAP doesn't inoculate baby but helps prevent dad of being a carrier for the Pertussis virus.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, I know that. I'm a mom ;) my point was, if the lady in the story had a updated TDAP shot 3rd trimester baby would have had a chance.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Even so, Mom getting a booster doesn't guarantee that enough immunity will cover the baby for those first few months.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Babies aren't inoculated by mom. They just get some short term antibodies.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everyone should get a booster every ten years. Whooping cough sucks. I was vaccinated but I still got it and it was awful.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But vaccines eradicate sickness /s

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was in an area that had an ongoing outbreak because of people who wouldn't vaccinate.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I may have had it (dr never figured out if it was pneumonia or WC. or both, because that is apparently a thing) and it was awful. (1/)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Plus I had a fear I had given it to my cousins, who were vaccinated (I was too) but I was still their primary carer that summer. (2/)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are there antivaxx movements outside of the Americas? Is there a similar thing in Europe, or are we just all stupid?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember reading from an Italian there's a community there, but much smaller than the freedomlanders' community.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have some in Denmark. Mostly among the Somalian community, but education is ensuring that it is not hereditary.

Though I was expecting what that page had to say, I still found it amusing. +1

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I definitely click through every time I post it as a comment.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This really should try to explore where the misconception came from, why its wrong, and discuss real environmental causes of disease.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is if the page has to exist at all. https://www.cdc.gov/biomonitoring/Mercury_FactSheet.html Pay attention to organic vs non-organic

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, it shouldn't have to exist, but I daresay it does.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I also say it exists... But relative to the myth it hopes to dismisses, its only doing half the work it should. Feel me?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does need to. And it has a link to a relevant website. Not sure what all you want from the guy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

About that beer I owed ya

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The thing is that a 1 month old can't be vaccinated, they are protected by the herd immunity until about 6 months old I believe.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There are 2 and 4 month vaccinations...but thank you for bringing up herd immunity. Too often it's pushed to the way side...(1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2/2) "why are you worried, your kid is vaccinated!" ...vaccination does not necessarily guarantee 100% immunity.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a kid myself, he's 8 so I couldn't remember when he got his first vax but I know that herd immunity is what helps keep my kid healthy

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So, yeah. It's a thing but because of asshats like these women, my kid could get whooping cough even though he's vaccinated. makes me mad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get that antivaxers are wrong, but mocking them isnt going to change their minds.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Or turning it into a witch hunt.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The ridicule isn't meant to change their minds, it's meant to keep others from joining them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Neither does actual science. These people are Inquisition level hard-headed.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Yeah, this doesn't help either. Its like you don't want them to change. Or is it just easier making the problem worse.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you make their lives worse to the point they cannot live their lives without complying then the problem is solved is it not?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

People better than I have tried. The only thing that actually seems to change their minds is when their children get sick. And not always.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not mocking them. I'm calling out antivax news sources, but not individual people.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

(1/2) Please do so with the right facts. The risk of this vaccine is major brain damage 1:300000. A risk worth taking but a risk. Ignoring

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I wouldnt call Facebook a news source

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mentioned Infowars in the description.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(2/2) the risks makes antivaxxer out of people that learn of them first, at first hand.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As an RN these types of attitudes baffle me. So much ignorance.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Recently had to get CPS involved with a family that was allowing their son to die because they didn't understand how a mediport works. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They refused the procedure multiple times even though the doc said "it's this or death". I just don't get it...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe in people's right to choose or refuse care. Such as transfusions. But a mediport? That's just dumb.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an adult, yes. Refuse away, idc. Let yourself die if that's what you want. But this kid was toddler age. Can't exactly ask the kid.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can I get your opinion on other RNs that are against vaccination? That has always baffled me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don't know too many who are against vaccines tbh. Some won't get flu shots, but that's about it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lots of doctors are morbidly obese chain smokers. Many are addicted to drugs. Knowledge and even skill don't vaccinate against idiocy. ;)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's also "do as I say not as I do" where they might be fully aware they shouldn't do some of that shit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's easier to see fault in others than ourselves.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah it would have made him worse. You're right. Worse than being dead. Yeah.

8 years ago | Likes 1492 Dislikes 9

It's just funny how people like this will embrace certain types of science but not vaccines. Odd.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In his belly you will find a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested for 1,000 years

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well he could have been expelled

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Expelled!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She probably meant vax would make him die faster. She is stupid either way tho

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's such bullshit too. "Vaccines for deadly diseases cause autism!" So in you're messed up head, living with autism is worse than DEATH.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And yeah, I messed up my your's and you're's.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He'd have to live with her as a mother

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

There are absolutely some medical conditions that i think are worse than death, autism doesn't seem like one of them though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some would argue being alive is being worse than death. I doubt these kids would agree.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's obviously wrong, of course, but she likely means it would have hastened his death or made his condition worse while alive.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Children who have been vaccinated suffer the horrifying death of old age

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You never know, what if his immortal soul became autistic?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's right: being raised by her. Sometimes death is better.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you Dr. Doak? I'm sorry for all the times I shot you or didn't protect you

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair, he would have died regardless, you don't get that shot until 2 months old, and requires 5 for total immunity.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well, if the older sister did hers on time that probably would have helped him out don't you think?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would assume the mother hadn't received her 3rd trimester vaccination, which would have provided a degree of protection for the infant.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even if vaccines caused autism, how is autism worse than death?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is a very legthy debate. Essentially life of extreme hardships or a chance at a different existence/non existance.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except some people actually can't get vaccines due to other conditions or even allergies, and they're put in danger by low herd immunity.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because I don't want my friend who was born a preemie who has immune system problems because of it to die 'cause of these fuckers. Asshole.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Not only that. These virus and bacteria have more of a chance to mutate and affect vaccinated people if not everyone is vaccinated

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Didnt know that, sry Ill delete.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

have you tried living? its not always sunshine and rainbows. at least with death, there's certainty.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Have you tried dying

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not necessarily, though. There are tons of opinions on what happens after death, but it's by no means certain.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

to be fair he would have had to live with a bitch like her so it would have, arguably, been worse than death.

8 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 4

The kid's dead, dude.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 39

Because a bitch refused him proper medical care.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got any other sharp observations for us?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and some of us deal with tragedy with dark humor so we don't blow our own brains out. like that kid would have done if he had lived with her

8 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 3

I get it, and humor is a great tool for diffusing pain, but that doesn't mean joking about dead kids isn't fucked up.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

That's pretty much the definition of dark humor... i mean we make jokes about 9/11 and the holocaust - it's better to laugh than to forget

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You're my kind of person.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah I never knew I dealt with it that way until I was watching someone die on the street and made a joke

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

A theory goes that humans evolved humour as a way of dealing with negative emotions and situations.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Manslaughter. Neglectful homicide. Depends on your state.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Luckily some places are starting to do exactly this.

8 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 3

This.. whole situation is fucked

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

actually she should be charged with murder.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd bet when he got sick she tried to use holistic bullshit (0.0001% dilution of regular bullshit!) rather than use a real doc & medicine.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Another term for it is "cultivated ignorance".

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not child neglect. Manslaughter minimum.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

involuntary manslaughter would be better.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our world is ran on willful ignorance....

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

And to a large extent cognitive dissonance.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's probably a bit light, considering the kid is dead.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

No. Murder. 1st Degree.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Negligent homicide

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

At the very least manslaughter.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I would think negligent homicide would be warranted.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same thing with childhood obesity.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't take it that far, you're basically making it mandatory at that point.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 18

Bingo. It should be.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Dude what?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thats like saying denying a construction worker his hard hat on a site isn't neglect. Sure the hard hat may potentially not prevent 1/

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the US provided universal healthcare, then I would absolutely agree.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There are some people that have. It's beginning to turn around, which is good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a tough one, because you can also argue that the diet you feed your child can determine their health, should that be monitored too?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

In cases where the child is morbidly obese, YES.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

and in the 99% of cases that it's not?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Then it should not. It's not as much of a difference how you eat exactly as long as it's within parameters. Also: WTF Dat username

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our kindergarten does not allow kids thst are not vaxinated.. which is a result og neglect lile this.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Did they need to see the doctors records? I wish places here are were strict, because they just let the parents fill out dates on a sheet. 1

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was preschool; the actual school didn't even ask!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Over here.. we have vaxination cards distributed from the healthcare system. All have them, kids and adults.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of my schools would let anyone admit unless they had vax and shot records. The problem mainly lies in home schooled.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

These parents also generally believe theyre smarter and more efficient than the school system, which isnt hard to do, but they are not.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What about: Voluntary manslaughter, or straight up first degree murder. Just because you're a dumb fuck doesn't mean you can get away.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Where I live, infanticide (lat.: infanticidium) (killing of your own child) could be called if a child is neglected in that way, that it 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Won't get its mandatory vaccinations and dies as a result of that. Just like the situation in this FB-post. Completely justified. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Infanticide is handles a lot harsher than voluntary manslaughter due to the fact, that you as a parent are supposed to protect your kid.

she wouldn't be prosecuted since the infant couldn't get the shot until they are 2 months old anyway.

Given they are an anti vaxxer, they may of allowed the kid around other unvaccinated children. This is where grey areas come in..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mmm, agreed

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or at least she should. Looks like the father has seen sense.

8 years ago | Likes 808 Dislikes 1

Hindsight's great, but it doesn't change the reckless endangerment.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Doesn't matter, the kid is dead. Jesus

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 10

They have another kid.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Lots of other kids aren't. Punishing someone is not just to save them, but others as well.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Court grants custody to the mother. *gavel bangs*

8 years ago | Likes 368 Dislikes 7

Supreme Court just ruled it's unlawful for judges to favor mother's for custody.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sadly, right now that system is terrible and I've known guys that have lost custody of their children to a drug-addicted wife

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

America.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah but that law is slowly changing to a more equal standing :D

8 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 2

Not in Michigan

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nor ohio. Well 3 counties are for equal rights. The other hate men.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank God

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I didn't do shit. Ya'll finally realizing justice.

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I think you're mistaking the bias of the people in the court system for law. A law favoring women would be sexual discrimination, and 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would have never been passed in the first place. However, a judge is free to make his own biased choice. It's not so much of a legal 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*feminist starts shouting* cis scum patriarchy stealing our children and filling them with poison! WE MUST TAKE CHARGE! *sips mcflurry*

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

How the hell do you sip a mcflurry?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a feminist, i agree that fathers need an equal say in their kids lives. Hell, my cousin is a shitty mother and just kept having babies.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your name isnt really accurate. You should change it.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

One right doesn't undo a wrong

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

But one is better than two.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But it can still save the daughter

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

They should be charged with murder.

8 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 10

this...i see that they dont decide "my child shall die" so it doesnt truely count as murder legally, but there is a HUGE difference between>

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

> neglect, not knowing things you should know and thus unintentionally causing harm, and wilful ignorance, because wilful means intentional<

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Manslaughter, since intent is relevant, but I otherwise agree.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I've never understood why intent is relevant. Someone is dead because of them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

I dont think you understand what either of those terms mean. What degree of murder should she be charged with?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Probably don't. I just want her to suffer.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Negligence, at the very least

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should be negligent man or man two depending on state. Reckless killing.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At any rate, charging someone with murder when it is so easy to prove there was no intent to kill is a perfect way to ensure they get off //

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

// with no consequences.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some states have a Neglect resulting in death statute, it's an odd thing legally because you have an actus reus but not always a mens rea.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If this is real the elements for establishing proper causation are there. Up to a prosecutor to prove it to a jury though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think many states use a mens rea similar to or the same as negligence, which is of course not an uncommon standard for crimes.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Right, using negligence as sort of a surrogate mens rea.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it would be manslaughter... But it's it still manslaughter when it's a baby?

8 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

Negligent homicide. It's a thing.

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Infantslaughter sounds like a death metal band

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Infanticide or something

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's actually a thing, but it generally refers to mothers who kill their newborns because of mental illness like Postpartum Depression

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Babyslaughter?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Its called infanticide

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Infantslaughter's first album

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And claim that it's actually "baby's laughter" but the album art had a typo and you rolled with it.

I was unvaccinated and didn't know, had a lot of health issues till I joined the Navy. Gained 30 lbs of muscle in 3 months and could breathe

8 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 5

That's not how vaccines work....

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I was sick constantly because of exposure, prevention helped me stay healthy for once.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"Gained 30 lbs of muscle in 3 months". Highly unlikely unless you were near death b4 hand. Or maybe a vegan (not a joke).

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

I went from 155lbs to 170lbs during Navy boot, and I was on the varsity soccer team before that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know how long boot camp was for you...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 weeks for navy. iirc Army and Marines are 10 weeks. dunno how long AF is (couple days?)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, he did join the navy, and they have a pretty strict PT schedule.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

But still. 3 pounds a month worth of muscle is considered extreme. Maybe he put on 20lbs of muscle and 10 lbs of fat.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BFP came back 2.5 and then 3.5 so maybe? I was also severely underweight despite eating constantly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just from being vaccinated

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

Any idea why you were never vaccinated?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mother was raised baptist in Wyoming

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ahhh fully understand. Grats on getting your shots and improving on your health.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but at least you don't have autism!
