Peter Pan's dietary advice

Peter Pan saves another life

+1 for "How did you put them in there?"

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I have double cancer and my head got chopped off so I have to carry it around in a jar. Peter Pan told me I was beautiful and I cried.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 5

Stop self harming yourself for the love of all things tumblr!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ok now my #1 reason to visit Disneyland. To meet THAT Peter pan.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Pantastic!

11 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

thank you

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fact: J.M.Barrie (he wrote PP) gave the rights to the character to the Great Ormand Street Kids Hospital. They still make money on films etc

11 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 0

Oh wow how smart and how kind of him

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Good feelings feel good. Faith in humanity restored.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Makes me want to go to disney land!

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

After watch Season 3 of Once Upon a Time, I will never look at Peter Pan the same.

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

+1 for Peter! post like this make my day ... thanks!

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

So there I was, sailing along, Master of the USS Feels, when suddenly *BOOM* and we hit an underwater mine. Unexpected Feels everywhere.

11 years ago | Likes 589 Dislikes 4

Eloquently put

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The hull was ruptured, feels flooded every deck. All hands but op were lost.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

an awesome description of feels.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How does this not have more points?

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Pirates.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*stinky* pirates

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This made my tummy all nice and warn and my heart super enlarged. Might be cancer

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Peter is my favorite. "To live would be an awfully big adventure."

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm relevant! If you ever get the chance to go to a Disney park, challenge Peter Pan to a crowing content.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Plot twist: He doesn't really work there.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

1:/ faith in humanity fully restored. 2:/ thanks for making me tear up like a little girl at work.

11 years ago | Likes 249 Dislikes 6

m2.. Peter rocks... what ever happens, please don't grow up Peter...

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Glad I'm not the only one!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

OMG! Why can't I be one of those "cry for no reason people?" *tear*

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

Because you're a stinky pirate

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I cry evrytim

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tear up? I'm full blown crying. That was beautiful.

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I'm with you there. Stupid pirates, chopping onions.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

"You're beautiful. Please stop." I actually sobbed.

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

It was obviously a story made up for tumblr to get notes

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 13

We will never know one way or another, but it was still touching and might help someone when they are in that dark place.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seeing as how people are surprisingly very kind at times, I don't doubt this story at all.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I would husband him all the way to neverland and back.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

What if this isn't an employee, and its just the real Peter Pan?

He is!! *mind blown*

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a castmember, I hate to be that person, but the wheelchair thing probably didn't happen.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

Sounds like bullshit to me.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What about the two almost identical "self harm" stories?

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Tons of people standing around at the parks that could and absolutely would help someone who needed it. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Those are possible, they seem in character. What wouldn't happen would be a character for fifteen minutes not meeting others. There are 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm inclined to agree with you. That story just seems like a liability risk to me

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

More that a character, especially one this famous, has a huge line. There are other CMs around that absolutely help those in need.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, what type of douche laughs at a person in a wheelchair?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So leave a disabled person trapped in the sun?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would bang each and every one of these dudes.

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

who the fuck points a camera and laughs at someone in a wheelchair who looks mentally disabled?

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

don't worry, man. didn't happen. probably none of these did. a while ago it became popular to post peter pan stories and people ate it up

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Over the course of my first trip to Disney I nearly flipped my lid on THREE people for being obnoxious and just downright mean-spirited.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Out of all the places in the whole wide world, why would you tease someone at Disneyland?

11 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

And why would grown up people stare and laugh at handicapped people? O.O

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because even at Disneyland, people are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well, you've got me there.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Let's also not forget the guy who fake proposed to the Tinkerbell w/ the slammin' thighs

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Oh Blaine!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel bad for the Vader and Storm Troopers, imagine wearing those costumes in this heat

11 years ago | Likes 443 Dislikes 3

That's true but to be that badass would be worth it. They are just perfect.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like they knew what they were getting into when they signed on for the gig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQdDRrcAOjA

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Better than wearing those costumes in heat! Heyo!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My mom worked at Disney world and saw Darth Vader speeding through the tunnels in a golf cart with his cape flapping in the wind.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Um, not to be the one to point this out AGAIN, but both Vader's and storm trooper issue Katarn armor are temp controlled

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually I saw a show once saying many of those costumes have water tubes running through them to keep the cast members cool/

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

kinky

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not my first choice for an adjective, but I'll roll with it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've seen some star wars cosplayers install fans and whatnot inside to keep themselves cool.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And that was with a suit that was mesh in the back to maximise airflow. It's just an unpleasant costume unless it's really cool weather.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even still, Vader is an endurance trial. My brother used to be a Vader in the 501st and he shrivelled up like a raisin in his suit.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Troopers aren't too bad. Most of us wear underarmour as the body suits to stay cooler. Vaders can be miserable hot though.

11 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 0

I think people missed the part where you said "MOST OF US"...

11 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

Why do you think that?

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Because you haven't gotten nearly the amount of upvotes you deserve for being so awesome.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm flattered, but I don't think I have done much to deserve your devotion. It's appreciated though. I don't do children's parties.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Underarmour as the body suits? I can't make head nor tail of this sentence.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Underarmour compression gear causes your sweat to evaporate rapidly. I've gotten chills in 90 degree weather if the wind picks up. 1

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

woot woot, shout out for underarmour. I can do a full mascot routine for an hour and a half before I need a break when I got that stuff.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most Troopers will wear a compression shirt and leggings to take the place of the black leotard that the actual actors wore.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

On the other hand, you get to be Darth Vader at Disneyland.

11 years ago | Likes 170 Dislikes 0

On the other hand, Darth Vader got sold out to Disneyland

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

search Tinkerbell on this site and you get a ton of her

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gonna need a few hours without pants now.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I want to believe these but something inside is telling me not to listen to tumblr...dammit

11 years ago | Likes 187 Dislikes 14

Possible that he told several people that, but, does age of cutting and age of hanging with Peter Pan really coincide?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

These are like tumblr's version of greentext stories.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I love those stories, but I'm sorry to say they probably aren't true. They are required to stay in character, and will be fired if they dont

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's so melodramatic that it sets of some red flags for sure.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

I don't believe any Disney cast member would call attention to someone's scars, especially if they were obviously self inflicted.

11 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 4

No, it seems like something they would be told not to do. Like, having a fun day at Disneyland and get reminded that you self harm?

11 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 3

I've known a few cutters, and all of them cut in places that aren't visible unless they want them to be.

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 8

My best friend cuts and she has the scars on her arms. Many people do it visibly.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

There are like 569386306984 different variations of that story. Fake as fake can be.

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 6

Thank you. I scrolled down looking for a skeptical comment and found a skeptical thread. This is just romanticizing bullshit.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Guaranteed bullshit stories made up by emo teenagers for attention

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Yeah I don't believe that about the person in the wheelchair. No adults point and laugh at people in wheelchairs.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

I use a cane (I'm 29 but look younger) people are utter assholes to disabled folks. I've experienced it firsthand.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, yes they do. Once a grown man in front of me in line pointed and laughed at a girl wearing one of those bear hats with long mittens >

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

>And said "geez, that girl is a freak" to his family loud enough to where I and several others could hear. He was like 75. Absolutely rude

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait was he laughing at her bear hat (what's a bear hat?) or her wheelchair?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Think of Finn from adventure time I think?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was laughing at her clothes and how she was having fun with her friend. She dressed in the "raver" type style. Old guy didnt like.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, as a former self harmer(not for a few years) I wouldnt have made them visable, if it was on my wrists, long shirts were worn.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Same, but in that heat, I couldn't bear it. I relied on the fact that most people didn't care enough to notice at all.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, those two posts are so similar that my bullshit detector went off immediately.

11 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 9

A good portion of the kids I went to highschool with are cutters, it's not unreasonable for 2 of them to have met him.

Maybe more people self harm than you think and proportionally more of them are young girls which are prevalent on tumblr.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

And maybe one of the main Peters (snicker) had similar issues as a teen and thus can easily see a fellow troubled soul.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

This is actually very accurate. Selection bias, woo!

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Random fact: selection bias is a major issue with the generalizability of twin studies

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That and the one where someone's wheelchair stops working and people are just walking by, pointing and laughing. No one would do that.

11 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 7

I dunno, man. I fell during my last trip with my family and sprained my ankle pretty bad. Two adults laughed at me and a teen poured (1)

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

a drink behind me so it would soak my pants. I was upset. (2)

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You've...you've met people, right?

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

I'm disabled (cane user) and yes, people are really like that. I've had some awful experiences.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've been in a store and as a lady in a wheelchair with a small breed service dog left the isle 2 women started laughing and saying her (1)

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

dog wasn't a service animal. I turned to them and started list off types of service dogs. That shut them right up. So adults can suck. (2)

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I went to Disney World on my honeymoon and we were so broke that the only money we had left was a bucket of change we got as a present (1/2)

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

and to eat we had to pay with change from a big bag of quarters in my pocket, we had 2 different families offer to buy our food. (2/2)

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

As someone who's in a wheelchair temporarily for reasons that aren't obvious. People do point and make snide comments. People suck.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

really? Never would have thought but Im not in a wheelchair to know.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't there more than one guy being Peter Pan?

11 years ago | Likes 1465 Dislikes 3

yeah, but they all look the same

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. He travels all over the world to each Disney resort and has absolutely no time for a personal life.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

I heard it was a group of actors (a trio maybe?) that agreed on the type of character and all play him the same.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Iunno, all these Pans look like the same Pan to me.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

All Pans just look the same to you, so racist. [sarcasm disclaimer]

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

ACTING

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think this is the first man I've ever seen play Peter Pan, other than Robin Williams.

11 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

RIP

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Wait... so.... What you're telling me is that Peter Pan isn't real?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There is only one peter pan.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

one of my friends plays peter pan at Disney World, i didn't recognize him in any of the pictures. So, yes.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes and no, multiple people play the character but Disney only has one out in the park at a time to not ruin the magic for children

11 years ago | Likes 696 Dislikes 2

Wrong, they have multiple people playing the same part in the park at the same time. They just have them in different areas do they don't 1

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Run into each other. There's an article in Cracked.com about it. 2

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And children at heart ;)

11 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 0

The pictures here are of a particularly great one that has become semi famous at Disney land. I think he did the job for like a decade.

11 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 1

Actually the pictures here show two different guys. IDK who the first one is but one with more bright blue eyes is the famous one. :)

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

SPIELING PETER ANDREW DUCOTE!!! <3 <3 <3

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but there was one guy in particular who got really famous for doing stuff like this. He "retired" (booted for ruining the magic).

11 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

He was actually fired for getting to old (you have to be under 27) also his wife played Wendy and Alice

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Spieling Peter Pan? I heard he married the girl who played Wendy. Isn't that cute.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He did!

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Didn't he just get too old for the part?

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

What do you mean? I can't find anything that has any information about him

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How did he ruin it? Just curious to know.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

People became noisy and looked up the actors name and would bother him.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Let's just say penises are not really swords

11 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 5

He told me I could be a sword swallower :(

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Never give up on your dreams... your penis swallowing dreams

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He became independently reknown. It's what happens when you have a good actor playing the part. They should reconsider. Kids won't notice.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

The issue is the adults and teenagers who would call him by name while he was in character. That is a huge no-no.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ah, yeah. I could definitely see that the PUBLIC had been breaking the illusion.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think the more important question is "why are so many little girls cutting their wrists?"

11 years ago | Likes 467 Dislikes 3

because that never happened

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Attention. People who cut their wrist and other equally visible areas just want attention.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 22

And you're an expert?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Because it's a copypasta and I think the story has been confirmed to be fake

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it looked like the same story twice.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tumblr.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 14

Tumblr.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4. Might had a bad attack and no one was there at the time. It's crippling. It's very real and there is nothing 'emo' about it.

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

You know how sometimes people tell you that if you're in pain to pinch yourself to distract yourself from the thing that hurts?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Physical pain does that to mental pain. It's not even about ending your life. It's just something else to focus on for a second.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ya, it's similar to that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1. depression is a bitch. Sometimes the mental pain can be so intolerable, physical pain helps 'distracting'. It's a bad cope mechanism

11 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

I'm nitpicking here, but sometimes depression and anxiety disorder don't intermingle and a person has one and not the other. Still, +1.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately, on top of being a symptom of depression, cutting has been gaining ground with attention seeking teenagers - mostly female

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

Attention seeking due to other problems. Could be anxiety or just problems at home. Very few (!!!!) harm themself to say "hey look at me!"

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have known a lot of teenage girls who use it to get attention. It makes it harder for those with real problems to get real help.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't it more of a symptom of an anxiety disorder, though? The two do sometimes intermingle but not always.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Comments like this make it hard for people who are cutting and want to stop to get the help they need.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I don't see how. I said 'unfortunately' because attention seekers make it harder for those with real problems to be taken seriously.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

2. but it is one. Suicidal people don't necessarily want to die, the said mental pain can get out of control to a point, the only way to

11 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

People who self harm* not suicidal. everyone who is suicidal wants to die. that's what suicidal is. but anyways +1

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

never mind, just reread the posts and get what you mean.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

9/10 of those didn't happen, it's most likely just the same story over and over.

11 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 30

Yeah... a

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

yes what i thought as well

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You can choose to be happy or not. It's entirely up to you and no one else.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Mentall illness is a choice?.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And why are they going to a VERY crowded place with their scars showing? When I was doing that I would do everything I could to hide them.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Exactly. It's not something you just show off. Those stories came from tumblr and were likely another way to grab someone's attention

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

like AgRawr said, you can forget about them. mine aren't usually visible (shoulders/biceps) but if i get a tan they re-appear.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

or possibly they had wristwarmers, like i've seen some girls wear and they rolled down or up to show the scars?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well some people do move past it, and although they aren't proud of their scars they aren't ashamed of them either. They just need to be 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ready for and able to answer questions and stares.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3. make it stop is to end everything. The pain can become THAT intense. Possibly what happened to Robin Williams. He battled depression

11 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Because way more people self harm than you think. Especially teenagers and mostly girls

11 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 3

Actually, boys and girls are equally likely to self harm.

I wish I had someone like this to tell me I should stop when I cut myself. He's so fantastic for doing this. So many others wouldn't notice.

From your wording I'm not sure whether or not you have stopped, but I sincerely hope you have. Feel free to message me if you want a word.

I'm no Peter Pan but I'm here if you wanna talk. Was a cutter for 8 years, just recently stopped with the help of residential therapy.

I don't anymore (: I just realized one day how *stupid* I was being and it wasn't helping anything. Congratulations on quitting!

Please don't hurt yourself. Makes me sad to think of one of my girls having no other way to express what they're feeling.

I used to do this, until my ex told me he'd never speak to me again if I kept on. He's a POS and is no longer in my life, but now I am 1/2
