I am still crying and I finished the game, like, months ago.

Cat Tax

#20 this is because they were boys for the first one and grew into men by the second one

I cried when my (Arthur's) horse got shot out from under me. We had been through so much. It was an amazing moment. I'm still wrecked.

#15 "Tacitus Kilgore."

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It took me months to finish cause I couldn't stop crying

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

John Marston is much more badass and likeable in my eyes. Just my personal opinion though.

Thanks, partner

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

+1 for Arthur’s twitter handle being Tacitus Kilgore

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Why must you hurt me like this? I had never outright sobbed while gaming until RDR2 came along.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#8 Fallout 76 and Black ops 4? Damn wouldn't be caught dead walking next to that.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Love the game, memes bring back good memories

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

#1 I'm only in Chapter 3 right now, but I still have like $3000 in cash after purchasing all weapons and camp upgrades, so yeah.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This game was so good, but man did it mess me up

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Same here. I still can’t listen to the soundtrack without breaking down.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Let me murder Micah, that's all I want. Let me leave him in that cell and watch his hanging the next day.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

still sooo salty about the lack of content added for story line endgame, so much could have been adde but nope, everything go to rdr online

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I would cut off a finger for a Sadie Adler DLC.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

hell just the quests and stuff from online would be worth alot, fuck i'd settle for buildable hunting/fishing cabins to set up as ft spots

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Literally watching the credits for RDR2 right now. One of the greatest games ever made. Godspeed Arthur, you beautiful bastard.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 1

Oh my gosh, that’s awesome. I haven’t seen this one.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

One of my favorite games ever! The platinum was brutal too get though ?

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I wouldn't have put Spider-Man on that list

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I would have paid to play Saddie....

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

RDR3 playing as Bounty Hunter Sadie or we riot. There are several years of timeskip that it could be set in.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

How about as Jake then we switch to Sadie or a yet-to-be-known character that meets young Sadie? That gives more room to create better story

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

hey who knows maybe we will in RDR 3. although i like the idea of playing as a young Dutch or Hosea during the early days of the gang.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Sadies doesn’t need “Redemption” but how about we play as Jake or a yet-to-be-known character that meets young Sadie?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I sort of suspected a young Hosea would be a protag in a prequel game. The way some of his lines are written...it just feels right.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

What an amazing game. A true masterpiece.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

That Cuba-esque level though...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I hear you. Still though, quickly forgotten

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m 98% completed. Just gotta collect the ‘exotics’. I swear to god when I’m done, that guy is gonna take a lasso tour of Saint Denis.

5 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 0

Omg that mission kicked my butt the first time- I learned to start hunting in chapt 2

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sandy knees

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Those fucking turkeys are the bane of my existence. Cannot find one

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Is it a special kind? Those fuckers kept taking all the spawning slots for me when I was going after camp improvements.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

OK soooo. Bought it a few months ago. Beautiful landscapes etc., really. But the game is. So. Goddamn. Fucking. Slow. Everything takes 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

I got used to the looting pretty quickly. And once you're out of chapter one it picked up the pace, to me at least

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

2/2 ages. The movement. The traveling. Even looting corpses or boxes. Nearly no GUI as well. So how do you guys like it so much?Teach me plz

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You just have to take it all in and let yourself get absorbed by it. It's a clunky mess for sure, but once you're into it you won't notice.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks guys, I'll give it another try then!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Hey, did you by chance give it another go? How did you feel about it, if so? Would be interested to hear a follow up to this.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're not alone. I don't hate the game, but it's far from being in my 'favorites' for games.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At the start "I want to play as John again." At the end "can we go back in time and cure TB, and throw Micah from a moving train?"

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

You mean throw Micah *in front of* a moving train.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why not both?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

right into a pack of angry rabid animals?

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Only to bring him back to life so we can shoot him.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With said time machine, I dont see why not.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun Fact: a few weeks ago I got drunk and wrote an rdr3 plot then thought it up again next time i was drunk and thought I was psychic

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

And you're not gonna share?

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It had nothing to do with the first two games and I figured only I would like it :(

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Unless other people like prohibition gang stories

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Go on...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gist is, WW1 vet gets back to the US and lives with his ambitious Bootlegger uncle, goes uphill then downhill

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh, I wasn't sure how people would appreciate losing the cowboy aesthetic

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That sounds like fun! My mind went straight to LA Noire, just post WW1 instead of 2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Kinda yeah. still country crime but about bootlegging and gambling, more emphasis on discretion etc.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gonna be honest i personnaly want to shoot dutch lol

5 years ago | Likes 363 Dislikes 0

play rdr1

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

During the standoff at the end, I actually did shoot Dutch. Immediately got blasted by Micah though, but it was worth it

5 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

I did the same. At least 5 times in a row ! And then blasted Micah in his face during the Eagle Eye part.

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Wait you can kill both of them!?

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Theres a theory that dutch suffers a concussion in the tram robbery. Not saying dutch was great before, but thats when he goes off the rails

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thank you! I remembered he'd hit his head at some point and got progressively more paranoid and angry. Micah manipulation didn't help.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Apparently wild personality shifts are a common symptom of certain types of concussion, and Dutch's personality severely shifted after that.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I tried. More than once.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Boy, do I have a game for you, then.

5 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 0

You don't get to show Dutch, though. He kills himself first.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Shoot* (oops)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically, you are correct.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

If you replay the game, always pay attention to what he says. You'll notice he often starts with "I need" or "I want" before correcting 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

himself to "WE need/want". Also, if you open his chest at the end, you'll find equal to nearly $1.5 million in modern money in there. 2/3

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

The gang could've left at any point, no problem, but he wanted to stay and play rebel, fighting the gov with his manipulated followers...

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Im close to the end i was avoifing beating the game to finish side missions...ill have yo finish it out noe...that devious bastard

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hated Dutch more than Micah

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

MIcah was worse, but Dutch was way more frustrating.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

At least Micah fully admits to being a horrible person instead of pretending to be a tragic hero

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Then please stay out of the Netherlands, we're not into shooting like some other countries

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

THEN TELL ME WHAT'S IN THE BITTERBALLEN

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IT'S JUST CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP, ADMIT IT!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its a game where you shoot things and dutch is a shitty leader who makes bad decisions

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know, perhaps I should have placed /s in my comment there haha

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't know why the gang didn't kick Dutch out a long time ago, and make Hosea the leader.

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Dutch is a charismatic leader who has been manipulating them for years, and has actually been a GOOD leader while things were going well.

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

because plot armor?

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Blind faith and obedience from years of being by him, probably successfully for a long time.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The events of the game are the gang at their worst. Before the infamous blackwater robbery, Dutch WAS a good leader so had a built up trust.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Also one of the issues that can come up with telling a story through a video game is that you can't control how players with play the game.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

horrified of violence don't make sense so it can be hard to see dutches decline to madness.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They might play counter to what fits with the story. For example if players kill everyone they come across then cut scenes where they are

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Deep down Dutch was always a selfish greedy prick, but even he wasn't aware that. The events of the game however brought those out in him.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Didn't he get a concussion at some point and started acting even crazier?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think that is the public looking for an explanation from random data. People thought Fred and Daphene were dating because they always went

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Arthur Morgan is one of the greatest and best written characters in the history of gaming.

5 years ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 2

Arthur was great! But my #1 is still Mr. Trevor Philips ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And voice-acted to perfection

5 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

Lennyyyyyyyyy

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Agreed!

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

“Yerr alrigh boyah”

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Hey Mister!

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Outta the damn way!

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

*horse crashes*

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Him, and Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn. To anyone who loves single player games and hasn't played it, do yourself a favour and play it.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

My two favorite games ever. Right there. No question.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right up there with Max Payne.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I loved Max Payne, all of the games. I don't have a single IRL friend who agrees with me D:

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well I agree with you

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You're gonna need new friends, friend.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I stopped playing shortly after Arthur gets diagnosed. I know what’s coming and I ain’t ready for it.

5 years ago | Likes 209 Dislikes 3

I started playing at the beginning of the pandemic, and I think it helped me brace for what was coming.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shooting the villain in the dick 12 times in revenge for what happened.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Fuck Micah in particular!

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I wasn't ready for it, but damn if it wasn't beautiful. I had a glass of scotch at 1 AM as i finished. I cried for a good while. I still do.

5 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

Well now I know what else is missing from my dishonerable playthrough

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A soul.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well I got a twofer that got me reaching for the booze, I got up to that point at the same time we officially left the EU.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should finish it anyway! The whole story is about Arthur doing everything he can to get John and Abigail a better life.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Finish the fight!

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it’s been a while and I still haven’t been able to get over it.

5 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

Agreed. I still won't play it because it hits me in the feels every damned time I see the logo pop onscreen.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's one of the best games i've ever played.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Honestly for me I was just pissed cause at that point I was like “before it ends I wanna catch every legendary fish and animal” but you cant

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That does bug the shit out of me. And the most useful talismans you can't make until post-game.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You put on yer hat and finish that ride partner.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's exactly where I took like a 2 month break before going back and finishing it. It's emotionally exhausting. But worth it.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I play games to feel better. If I wanted to be sad, I'd just look at the goddamned real world.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I get where you're coming from, but why read a good book when you'll be sad it's over?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Its not the same. Feeling powerless to change something sad (like in RDR2 or politics) isn't the same as wishing there was more of something

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got ya

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't worry about it, TB was a slow killer. You got some time left.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I think that’s the worst part... watching a beloved character slowly die.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

A person's greatest moments are the ones he knows is numbered.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They are, but it’s just sad to see Arthur go through it.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I knew he was gonna die, but it never made sense. After all it's supposed to be a prequel to RDR1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Arthur... Isn't in RDR1? Right? Am I crazy?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, your right. I was confusing him with John Marston. Sorry.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I so so wish I could go back to playing as Arthur. The other guy is okay, but dammit Arthur was the robber with a heart of gold.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Play the first Red Dead Redemption. John Marston is a good man who, like Arthur, fell into a world of chit

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My biggest issue with John is his voice. Arthur is like rich honey, John is like glass in a blender.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

John got his face half eaten by a wolf, of course his voice is going to be a bit gravely

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I didn’t know that this was my problem. Now that you’ve said it, I think this sums it up for me.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I know! I miss Arthur's horse talk more than anything else. I have a save file from mid game before it all goes to shit. I play that some.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yer alright, boah.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0
