This reaction would be the much better as an ending to the Prequals! Just silence and destroction

"Kiff, I have a son. Inform the men."

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never seen all the pages of this, it's better this way.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To read later

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be honest, if they had shot that scene it would have made the second movie (Empire Strikes Back) a LOT more powerful!

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

But, doesnt the emperor tell Vader that Luke is the son of 'Anakin Skywalker' in the movies?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Source?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the word you were looking for is betrayal.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it just me, or does Luke look like Mike Myers?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Easily my favorite part about this is that they somehow have Vader facial expressions just by changing the angles on his mask

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

God I love vader comics. These comics hone in on Vader more than the films ever did.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

So this is the dark side of the feels?

That artist really knows how to draw Natalie Portman.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All I'm saying is if you're trying to hide your kid from his father on a different planet, maybe change his last name too while you're at it

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Or leave him with your step brother on your home planet, while your old Jedi Master is only a few miles away...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Or maybe Obi knew that Luke needed to confront Vader father to son at some point.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Anyone know a website where I can read this for free?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Or don't be a shit and support comic books for $13? https://www.amazon.com/dp/0785192557/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_HFkIwbDTYQES4

whens the first time Luke canonically uses a lightsaber to fight? he never uses it in ANH after training on the Falcon.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Original Canon or Disney Canon?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How about both. Que no los dose?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't read or know anything about Disney, but when I get a chance I can send you a PM aboot original.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's this from exactly? I enjoyed reading this little bit

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Marvel's Darth Vader. Written by Kieron Gillen. Phenomenal book. Crosses over with Star Wars, written by Jason Aaron, semi-frequently.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This was the moment the Emperor was defeated

10 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

To be fair, comics are part of the same universe where Emperor lived on past Jedi and body snatched Skywalkers.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yep, absolutely.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Come to the dark side, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

It's fun until a skywalker shows up

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have fresh cookies they said, alas I see no cookies.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

They also said they had cookies !!!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Haven't seen a single one! All they have is apple fritters, which isn't bad, but wtf I wanted cookies.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh no, there are cookies, they're just filled with raisins and disappointment.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Man, Kieron Gillen's Vader has been fucking amazing.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Yea, it was brilliant

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gillen has a long history of making villains wonderful, three dimensional characters. He did the same for Loki for years.

I picked up the first 6 issues and have really liked it. The two droids are wonderful.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Where can I get this?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Your local comic book supplier or online. It's Marvels Vader series.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Canon or no?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Clone Wars, the films and everything released after the Disney takeover is canon. Dark Horse did SW comics before, Marvel do them now.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Canon, yes. They also tie into SW: Rebels, and Shattered Empire ties (very loosely) into TFA.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Grazie. I don't actually care much, but it helps to know whether the movies will reflect (or at least not contradict) what's in the comic.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is kotor cannon?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not anymore, BUT that doesn't mean that they can't add it back in later. They just want to ensure that they don't break the "universe."

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It'd be anticlimatic if that glass shattered from the air pressure differential and he was sucked out into space and died.

10 years ago | Likes 764 Dislikes 7

I don't know, I think that would be climactic as fuck.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he wouldnt die, his suit is pressurized, he'd be bored for a few minutes though.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

His boots are incredibly magnetic, he can walk along the hull of an imperial destroyer in flight if he so chooses.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He could also easily use the force to just stay in the ship.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hilarious is the word you're looking for

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

he would live long enough for another ship to find him and get him on board

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But ... Star Wars.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Empire star-ships have emergency screens that seal a broken window. Something similar happened when Vader betrayed Starkiller the first time

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And that isn't glass. It's transparisteel.

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Which is all the more impressive.

Early bird gets the fake internet points.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah but no source quoted on that post, so I'm left to ask; defunct EU? Or one of the select sections favored by disney?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is the apaprent source of it, from the defunct EU, yes. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Vader:_A_3-D_Reconstruction_Log

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The new comics acknowledge that they still exist. In one of the first issues he uses them.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Protip: I always assume EU parts directly related to canon are also canon until retconned. It helps explain a lot of things.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can we address why it looks like Luke is in the middle of getting tazed?

10 years ago | Likes 246 Dislikes 0

It looks a still of a moment after he got hit by a crate Vader threw at him. It's been awhile since I saw Empire though.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See if he's realizing he had a son then empire wouldn't have happened yet.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unless it was a vision of the future to go along with the visions of the past

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The lightsaber is pretty old for something that's usually used for only one lifetime, maybe there's a loose wire hanging out of the handle?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Seriously though I was wondering too

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Foreshadowing?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because he's getting his sith wrecked.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I keep thinking that that looks like him while he was duelling Vader in ROTJ... 'Same pose and face, but different clothes and sabre...

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

In the comics he had fought Vader once before ESB. Apparently that frame is from that fight.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, I see. That makes sense.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still no idea what's actually going on at that moment. If it was a movie I'd say it was just a bad freeze frame.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Last time this was posted, someone told me that's from an encounter he and Vader had between movies. Poorly timed freeze frame I guess.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's a movie I'd like to see

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The movies themselves are some of the weakest parts of the Star Wars mythos, but that's because they had to be self contained.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agree. i havnt read any of the books in a long time. favorites were pre PM obiwan and post ROTJ Boba Fett

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but I've heard the vast majority of the EU set after ROTJ was trash. Not weak like the movies, just bad all around.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's a scene from a previous comic.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because Salvador Larroca varies between absolutely stunning art and 'did someone actually pay him to make that?'

"Someone actually paid him to draw that?"

Fish lips

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Only when he's rushed. If you look #2 they're far better than #6, and he likely spent more time on #2. But deadlines are a bitch, so #6.
