The happy face of a rescue dog

Her name was Lady, we've been calling her Gogo. She's a little underweight, but nothing a little TLC won't fix.

Already getting along great with my rescue dog, Harley. These girls say adopt don't shop!

And you won't sleep again. Congrats.

Thank you!

It must be confusing as fuck for dogs when people decide to change their names.

Barooo!

Yay for fostering!

I always upvote beagle. I didn't even reas the post. Did it eat your homework or something? Do calculus? Whatever... upvoting.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

diet food and walks twice a day - it'll keep ya both healthy. also, watch out for hip problems.

I've had 3 beagles now. Number one piece of advice? Squeeze their anal glands before it's too late

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

we rescued a beagle. Zero regrets. He's a good boy - doesn't bark - has to ring a bell to tell us he needs to go outside. smart dog

Congrats on the new pupper

That username! Haha

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Just a heads up, she'll eat you out of house and home and howl for every second of it. Signed: Someone who loves his beagle anyway.

"Foster" ... Riiiiggghhht! She's gonna make a place in your heart and you won't let her leave :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I won't ever foster again, and there'll always be new dogs needing a foster (2)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've taken in a few fosters since adopting my girl Harley, they all take a place in my heart but I let them go cause if I foster fail (1)

Aww good for you! Two are better than one, she's gonna be yours!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

She doesn't look underweight at all, most beagles get overweight really fast

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

she could definitely stand to gain a few pounds

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh shit eh, could definitely use a few pounds.. enjoy the new pup :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't let her watch TLC, you'll fill her mind with garbage reality tv

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You cant tell me untold stories of the er isn't educational and entertaining

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

okay that one gets a pass

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OR shop from a reputable, well vetted breeder. Nothing wrong w/ wanting a non-abused pet from parents w/ known temperament & med history.

That's the name of my band. Foster the Beagle. Our hit song is pumped up back paws.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

first pic says OMG I FOUND HU-MAN LAST NIGHT!!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hope you have a place for her to run because beagles are full of energy!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Doesn't look underweight at all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not extremely malnourished, but also not exactly a healthy weight either. She's not a big eater so far

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are right, my bad.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mentioned in a previous comment it's hard to see from the two front on pictures in the post

She reminds me of my Buddy that I lost last year. Please get her a sqeekie toy, he love those christmas light shaped ones.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry for your loss ): I lost my first dog early in 2016, you never really get over it. I'll give gogo some love and scratches for ya

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look. At. That. Smile.

8 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 1

She is so elegant

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's so excited! Good girl <3

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She's a beauty!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Harley seems to be shattered as can be seen from his eyes!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*her....& she's not shattered! She's just freaking out about taking on the responsibility of being a foster sister!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Harley is struggling to grasp the concept of sharing (toys/treats/attention)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it has more to do with not being sure why they're being told to sit like this for the picture. Dogs are quite expressive. >>

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hell, a dog can look like they've been abused for a year during a bath and ecstatic about a treat 5 minutes later.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My parents bred dogs and cats. I was a kid, but I still feel guilty. I got my dog from a family who didn't want her anymore. Best Pupper.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I found my cat as a kitten in the woods by my work. We fed her every day, and the day I got hold of her, I knew she was mine. Best decision.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a kid I always used to ask my parents why we had to fix our cats instead of letting them have babies. It's up to adults to educate

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My mom literally said I should let my dog have puppies b4 she was fixed since it seems like it'd be good for her to experience motherhood.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a pretty common misconception unfortunately. In a perfect world there would be a loving home for every puppy ):

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i thought it said bagel at first, either way i would still be happy 4 u

8 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 1

I read "her name was..." and immediately thought it was gonna be a cutting onion kinda post

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My friend had a beagle named bagel.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I had a beagle-bassets named Bagel. Hardest-headed dog on the face of the earth.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

did it like cream cheese

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You took in a permanent beagle last night.

8 years ago | Likes 231 Dislikes 3

I wish I was someone's permanent beagle :(

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

That would be me.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Permanent for around 10 years

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 60

Don't remind us of inevitability.

Is Agent Smith the one? Discuss.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If there is food around a beagle wont stay underweight for long.

8 years ago | Likes 482 Dislikes 1

I was gonna say. This beautiful puppy is gonna blow up.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

She isn't a gobbler like most beagles, at least so far. Takes a bite, walks away, comes back for another etc.

8 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 0

Then it can't be purebred.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

That's exactly how my Beagle acts

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

we got a street dog about third or fourth hand... she will try to eat just about anything edible if she thinks she can get away with it.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

that's not a beagle something is wrong here

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

yeah, the beagle sounds broken. Fortunately she's still pretty cute though. If I slept passed breakfast, I'd find my beagle devouring a

deer she felled in the woods behind my house.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It might have had to compete against larger dogs at some point and developed this habbit. Our old rat terrier and current jack russel do thi

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Then I got lucky. I have a Husky-Beagle (don't worry @OP she was a rescue) and I could leave a bag open, and she'd only eat a tiny bit.

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 3

Picture?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's crazy, I had a husky-beagle dog named Indie (after Indiana Jones) and I had never heard of another dog like him!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a husky-beagle too, her name was Peaches:)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a really strange mix of breeds.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

You did indeed beagles tend to have quite the appetite mine would eat until she got sick if she could.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I defiantly did the. However I got a combo of both the Husky and the Beagles vocalness. She is quite the talker, and she is defiantly a girl

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Haha yeah I spent countless hours training my beagle not to bark at literally everything. They are great dogs though!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh man as someone who used to have a bagel I can't imagine the vocal combo of a bagel and husky... I imagining it's like a seal having(1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

an orgasm and getting clubbed simultaneously... (2/2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As in she gives me constant back talk, and likes to get the last word in, ALWAYS. But she listen really well, she's just sassy about it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

She sounds AWESOME

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I used to feed her twice a day, but she only eats once, and eats it in little bits every hour or so rather than just all in one sitting.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This creature has more self control than me

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I'd be concerned, the first thing I suspect is a stomach problem.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was my first thought. I took her to the vet, tried different kinds of food. It's just the way she likes to eat.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If I leave the bag open my beagledore will crawl on, lay down, and eat till it's empty

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Might not like the food

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I thought that as well, even took her to the vet thinking something medical. Based on my results, it's just the way she likes to eat.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Huh, well, no harm then. Restrictive diets do extend life.
