The pilot saw an opportunity, and took it.

I see mimics have expanded to drones.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oooh. DnD compaign idea right there.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Being stupid is incredibly easy for some.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That makes her the next hair to the drone. (Heir to the throne, get it? Here all week, tip the waitstaff, try the eggplant.)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This shit doesnt even taste like eggs, wtf.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would you marry m…oh no. Ok. You’re right. Sorry.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Both the pilot and the chick are at fault here. Chick shouldn't be reaching half way over a balcony, drone shouldn't have leaned forward.1/2

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pilot still at fault, but the drone reacted to her being in its sensor area. Seen this happen dozens of times.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2/2 If the drone went higher THEN leaned forward, she wouldn't have got hit and she would have got the product in question.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing the pilot intended to fly the other way to keep the props away from her, but got the orientation confused.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Or didn't expect someone to grab the tether.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"The attack" starts slightly before she grabs the tether from what I can tell. Consistent with wanting to have the drone "pull outwards" 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

except for picking the wrong direction. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If the pilot pulled back instead of forward, she would have never been able grab the product in question... So uh.. Not sure that checks out

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She reaches… the pilot flies forward! He’s stupid! Bad pilot!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It’s because she moved into the sensor area of the drone and it reacted. Pilot still at fault for flying in wrong mode.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No… The drone tilts forward. It would only do this if the pilot acted. If the drone reacted to her, it would’ve tilted backwards, away 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not true. If the drone senses an object below it (like a hand), object avoidance takes over in some modes. I am a licensed drone pilot

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So am I… I have a Phantom 4 Pro. The only reason the drone would take over & push forwards would be if there was something behind it!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look man, I’ve see. It happen. Don’t know what to tell you. You’re wrong

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

… from the obstacle. This is totally pilot error. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks Amazon

Is that an aircut ?

4 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

Is that a cutting joke

So this is how the robot wars begin

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

A drone with a cup of coffee will have me fooled. And the robots probably know this.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Brilliant. Disguise all the human killing as accidents.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whoever was piloting that has a nice big medical bill to pay now as well

4 years ago | Likes 199 Dislikes 11

I dunno, looks like an assault.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Only if it’s a third world country without free healthcare

4 years ago | Likes 112 Dislikes 3

they would still have to pay for it, it's just that the person who got hurt wouldn't

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Nah, not true

4 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Oh that’s for sure Russia.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably wasn't much damage. The motors are designed to cut power when they have too much resistance.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Those propeller blades can get pretty sharp though

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah minor cuts at worse. No medical bills. Sauce I have hit myself with a similar one.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mate grabbed a drone out the air. The blades cut up his hand so finely they couldn’t even stitch it together, they used glue. Be careful!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive gotten some serious cuts from these drones blades. Sauce the scars on my hands

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is a bad pilot. "I want you to lean down and over the balcony" Just... fly higher?

4 years ago | Likes 441 Dislikes 4

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I dunno, looks like an assault.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Flying pov. Difficult to judge distance and height with the wide angle lens. I have a small DJI drone, same problem.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If I can land a cheap helicopter toy on the blade of a ceiling fan. This pilot can do a better job.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Looks intentional to me.

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Partially disagree - she pulled down on the tether to get the product - but pilot still should have been higher.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Seems like she can't even reach the tether.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She didn't grab until after it rolled

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Guessing it may have been difficult to judge the height from ground level? But it was a pretty dumb idea in the first place. Should also..

4 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 3

Thus ending the Goldilocks tale

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

..have been using prop guards to make this dangerous stunt slightly safer.

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

There's a camera on the drone

4 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

Good point

Camera is on front of drone, package is underneath. If camera points directly at their face, you're too low. Doesn't require measuring 1/2

Just common sense and basic spacial awareness.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The drone hits her head because it tilts forward in an attempt to move closer. She shouldn't have leaned over.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 16

My man jammed that stick forward. It was hitting her no matter what

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Both parties are at fault. No one should stick half their body over a balcony like that..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Pilot is in charge of the drone. Drone hit someone, pilot is at fault. That's why you don't fly near people.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If she didn't lean forward she wouldn't have been hit.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That ended better than I thought. For a second, I saw her going over the railing...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

blame the operator all you want, but you have to be a special kind of stupid to stick your head in spinning rotors

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

Have you met people?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Your statement is correct. However, that's not what happened in this video.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

She didn't necessarily stick her head in the rotors. If you watch, the drone angles and flies into her head after she was already leaning...

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Over to grab the package. It also appears that the drone stopped shy of the balcony. The pilot is moreso to blame. They were also too low.
