I'll cut your Ass.

At least they believe in their product, eh?

Molotov cartail anyone?

If it looks stupid, but works, OSHA will intervene.

Hard work hardly works while workers hardly work hard. But working harder hardly works if hard workers hardly work at all.

Christ Almighty, I don't even work for OSHA and these pictures are giving me an anxiety attack!

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That guy applying concrete in #15 has really long legs!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My husband's a safety inspector, so I bet these will make him smile. Oh, look, his work email is still logged in. *sees date* No. Mustn't.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm a workers compensation attorney, keep up the good work.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Guy at my work did the "use a weed burner to thaw frozen propane" thing. Gas thawed unevenly and blew a hole in the side. Lucky he's alive.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm currently taking an OSHA training course, and I'm about to have an aneurysm looking at this! Good lord!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can we get a lock out tag out on these

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So, what's wrong with that power strip, I mean, I guess the wood might ca- HE SCREWED IT THROUGH THE FUCKING CENTER. OH MY GOD.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I literally had the same reaction. Seemed ok at first. Then OH MY FUCKING GAWD WHY?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ty - I was trying to figure that one out also. Idiots.

I may have used a tiger torch to warm up a propane tank. Boss came by and started warming up the rubber hose.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

ok, what is that last one?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a powerful hand drier that we have in the States. It blows the water off your hands on to the electrical apparently.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm here in the States too, just used to seeing that chrome swivel nozzle on em :)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah, the one that turns it into a hair dryer? LOL

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aye :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure #19 is safe, because the screw's just going through the ground part of the socket.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

oh ok that makes sense now

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If circuit is not properly grounded, then if whatever device shorts to its own housing, you touch screw, you become ground, and zZZZAAAP.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We don't know where the hot wires/busbars are inside the plastic housing. Breaking brittle plastic could shift other mounting points around

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This right here. It -might- be okay, but is definitely risky. Whether this would fail depends on how the thing is built, which you dont know

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of my first job working for a private construction company..the owner is in prison now. See you in hell, Tim!

Story time.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Do you have work stories

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Second this @snowblind176. We need them.

Just added that as a tag because for some reason it wasn't on there.

Pretty sure I saw some of these under "Reasons women live longer than men" also, or something along those lines.

How soon before this is reposted with your comment as the title?

10 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 3

Seriously, I posted something here recently and 1 hour later it was reposted with the top comment added to the picture and that made FP.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ummm... I think my comment was the title the last time it was reposted. Nothing new about any of this.

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

I respect the honesty, though.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

About four years ago?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've been a contractor too long. Most of these don't seem too bad...

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

When you're paid by the job, rather than the hour...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No job is worth your risking your life. Unless it pays a couple million.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is 'merica. We'll do it how we want to..... as long as the inspector isn't around.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

as a dutch person, ive seen my fair share of suicidal co workers >_>

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unless you have a spare $50 to bribe the inspector.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm doing a OSHA related power point soon. Thank you.

10 years ago | Likes 205 Dislikes 0

Sweet jesus, some of these made me feel physically ill. Natural selection at its finest

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Except it's just going to kill the poor fucks working and underpaid at these places.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean the ones like the blocked fire showers and power strip with hidden nails

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That first one always sends shivers up my spine

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't be too traumatized, the blade isn't spinning. Looks like they're posing for the picture

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know, but it's the idea of it. And people do dumb shit. I've personaly seen an idiot cut of the branch he's sitting on whit a chainsaw

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Addition evidence on why we just need to remove warning labels to prevent overpopulation

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha, agreed

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

LETS DO THIS.

10 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 0

Lets Not

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can die. We can help.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Let's not...

LEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOYYYYY

MMMMMMMMJENNNNKINSSSSS

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the hedge trimmer is pretty smart.

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

There REALLY has to be a better way though.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So's the jug mask. Pretty nifty replacement!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Ya know I thought the same thing, right up until I realized a sufficiently hot spark would melt the plastic INTO the gents face.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Works against the sparks. Don't know if it would slow down a splintered angle grinder blade though.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He won't know unless he tries.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's the winning attitude

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least #22 makes good use of all those useless union workers that just stand around 90% of the time.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I was thinking in my head that if only one of them stepped off, he would be fine, as long as there are at least two of them on the board...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, the coveted union "job"

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm still not quite sure how it happened, but I once worked a Papa John's where every time it rained, a steady drip would fall from an >>

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

>> empty light socket above the oven.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In my house (rental) last time it rained good there was water pouring through a live light fixture.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I bet Regional refused to fix it, and the GM had to just get a bucket because their hands were tied.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The universal reaction was just "Oh. Guess we didn't need that light anyway. "

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#8 is so good I'm laughing out loud.

10 years ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 1

Reuse Recycle and Reduce

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is one actually my favorite of these, I think

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

no one noticed he's grinding into a compressed gas bottle?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

how else are they gonna get the gas out? duh.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#20 is just ingenious. My favorite, by far.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I don't understand why the guy is on the lawnmower. Is he steering back and forth pretending to drive? Cause the crane is moving it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Riding lawnmowers usually require weight on the seat to run.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If they can figure out how to trim hedges with a lawnmower and crane you'd think they could figure out how to jump the connection.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, certainly, but doesn't that also look *fun*? I mean, imminent danger to life and health aside.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Until the sparks melt the plastic

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

or when the grinding disk breaks off. :c

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or the grinding wheel explodes and embeds itself in his face.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This whole post needs an immediate stop work order

10 years ago | Likes 904 Dislikes 3

step 1) lock it, step 2) tag it, step 3) notify a salaried member of management

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

The salaried member of management replaces the shear pin in the bailer with a screw and removes the lock. Next day the bailer breaks...

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

and then theres pallets with boxes almost 10 feet high that just clog up the loading dock for a week while we wait for the repair contractor

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This says otherwise

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 6

Does anyone else smell something electrical burning or feel like they're falling while looking at these?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Time to stop work and write up a shitton of near miss reports.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Got one of those because we didn't have the proper permit. Guy who delivered it was about 180 years old. He was so scared to give it to us.

10 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 0

Probably more scared of death at that age

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

So many Observation Cards

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some of them need a stop everything order.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stop Work Authority! Stop this job immediately it's unsafe. I can stop without reprimand. Day later: Go find another job.

10 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

That sucks. Glad my PM hasn't fired me when I've said "nope fuck this"

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a PM I wouldn't do it either

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a PM I wouldn't do it either

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you work in oil and gas?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It only takes one light falling from 120' to be a sobering reminder to use your stop work authority.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm in construction technically, pump jacks and maintenance, but some loads we pick up are beyond sketchy.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some of these have to be staged. I hope.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

and some of these I honestly don't see why it's that big of a deal.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

With 2, 5 & 21, well, if I want to be a moron in my own home that's my right but companies often fire folks who object to moronic activity.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The guy sawing on the others guys back is definitely just a joke. The saw isn't running.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've heard of welding related vision damage. So I'm sure many dipshits think blocking just the sparks is enough.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hope you're right as well otherwise a few of these people are either dead or were seventy maimed

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How many maimed? 70. 70 maimed.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*Severely

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

70 maimed is better. We're sticking with that. Your input is no longer needed.
