The people at my school board meeting. I just.....

There is a full video going around, I'll see if I can find it. This cuts off before she gets to always touching, "making kids wear masks is exactly like Nazi Germany!"

It's frustrating because she was applauded at the end. She and her cohorts got up and lied over and over. One gentleman claimed not a single healthy child has died from covid. First of all...LIE. Second, all it takes to be not healthy is to be obese or have asthma. I don't know if you've checked out the American youth lately but that's a huge chunk of the population bud. Third, LIE!!!!!

Last year our school was in person, five days a week, mandatory mask, mandatory social distancing, online synchronous for anyone who needed it. We had 0, read it again, 0 cases of in school transmission.

They've taken away the synchronous option and have stated they will keep masks optional for all staff and students until it is madated otherwise.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" unless you're a public school district in an election year trying to pander to the unwashed masses.

Everyone who spoke up pro-mask stated their medical qualifications. We have an awesome medical community in our district and they showed UP. (You can hear the medical community get riled in the video)

When it was pointed out that none of the anti-mask conglomerate had any medical training, the next gal got up and told us she was a geologist and had a device for measuring CO2 and when kids wore masks it went above safe levels and she would demonstrate in the parking lot. I had to go home and feed my newborn so I missed that groundbreaking display of stupidity.

So many of these people claimed Fauci, Biden, and the CDC were liars and frauds. They brought in unmasked children to testify that they couldn't breeze and almost passed out while wearing them. Both kids are my daughter's age.

I just needed to vent. I'm so mad. We had something we know works and now that a strain that has been proven to be worse in kids than the original is rearing its head and we're fighting about the basics.

I'm tired and I'm ticked.

FP edit: thanks for commenting and making me feel sane the applause after each of these was so angering. It's not so bad when I can think of these people as lone crazies but to see the astounded support was a lot. So, to see the support here is also a lot . Also, just to clarify, the video is mine. I did a terrible job and will own that but it's 100% OC, real life lived awfulness.
