2nd picture, very top in the middle... anyone else see the face?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

if you zoom in enough you will see artifacts and buildings - every alien conspiracy youtube channel

Are you sure about that

The rocks all look sharp because there's much less weather erosion. Amazing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's crazy to think that it's likely never been touched before us

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Neat

I just like the way these are clearly sedimentary rocks! That means lots and lots of water in this area at some stage. Perfect for fossils.

AAAH! Petrified troll in #3!

Anyone else see the black dot in the sky?

Right hand side of the second picture....anyone else see the FROG MEME???

So we can send a machine to another planet, yet here on earth, I still can't edit text in Microsoft Paint?

Dat Aeolian crossbedding

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better make sure there isn't in Jawas hiding in those rocks somewhere

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These pictures always remind me of wall-e.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All those layers!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not interested until Elon Musk flies over there

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some other footage from the rover

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mars, or "Fucking camera has a timer, and how do I turn it off, Marie??"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I checked the username when I started looking at it too hard.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mark Watney called. He wants his camera back.

Looks more like The Planet of the Apes.

None of this is special. They've been shooting movies on mars for years. Even Matt Damon's been there.

Look at those layers. On Earth, those formations mean it used to be a seabed.

As much as I love these (and I really do) Mars is kinda boring. Send the rover to the ice fields or something. Pile rocks, make a mark.

And make floating cities in Jupiter and stuff, do something cool NASA

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make a mark? On Mars? What about all the other dead rovers and their parachutes? We're leaving quite the mark on Mars. Just sayin

Not shown: pictures from the other Mars Rover, the Bi-Curiosity. I heard those pics are fabulous

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

eh, its nothing but dick selfies.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone else wondering if there is no Mars Rover and these are all just pics of some North African desert?

9 years ago | Likes 218 Dislikes 13

People thought the same about the moon landings.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's because selfies aren't allowed here.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

nope

Earth deserts generally have some evidence of life. A bit of plant life poking out of a shadowy place. Pile of kangaroo shit, maybe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's from the new star wars movie

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was going to to say Arizona... but close enough.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Literally thinking this exact thought as I looked at these

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I have trouble thinking it's real. Not saying it isn't, just hard to wrap my head around.

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

I feel you. It looks very... real and normal. Like you could just land, step out, and not die.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Can't be. There is no trash and graffiti anywhere on pictures.

"Some North African desert". All of north Africa is one big desert. Maybe you've heard of the Sahara.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I could see it, but the sky difference is enough

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I live in Dubai and this is what skies look like 70% of the time

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or Tatooine.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sepia is a convincing setting

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The same physics are at work on Mars as they are on Earth. I'm not sure what kind of fantastic new worlds people expected to be out there.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Or El Paso TX

Eyyyyyyyy

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Old El Paso

NASA helps pave the way for new and upcoming technologies. Exploration creates new, lighter and more cost effective materials

Stop bitching about advancing technologies that benefit our country in both short term and long term.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where was I bitching?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

good joke, don't listen to these arsehuls

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you. It's always nice to know there's still people out there with a sense of humor.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

... and I just noticed it's all one arsehul.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This helps pave new, cost effective, and lighter materials used in everyday items by US companies (batteries, solar power, electric cars)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I totally agree. But I was being facetious and comical.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You wanna bitch about scientific advancements stop and take a look at the 80+billion dollar automotive bailout
