It's not great, but I'd rather be here than with the pedos

Decided to check in on imgpile, just out of morbid curiosity. What looked like a great start to an alternative to this site has turned into a haven for pedophiles. Browsed through the "newest" for less than five minutes and was so disgusted I had to leave. There wasn't even a report feature to get those disgusting perverts off the site.

It's gonna be a while before I try going back there again... If ever.

EDIT: If you are sensitive to these things please please PLEASE do NOT go there. You WILL find it and it is not something you need to see. I've informed the RCMP, other people have reported to their local authorities... This post is to raise awareness so people stop sharing it as an imgur alternative. That's why I did not provide a direct link to the site. I cannot warn you enough that until authorities begin the process you will only find misery if you go looking.

Edit 2: After speaking with the RCMP, filing a report, and giving a statement, I've been advised to go to https://cybertip.ca to report imgpile. Anyone who is within Canada and viewing this post, please do likewise. DO NOT go there looking for the content, because you will find what you're looking for, and you do not want to be an additional victim of this situation. Just report these disgusting perverts and let's all hope that the children being abused can be rescued.

Thanks for the warning. Certainly not going there now. Jesus.

I can’t believe that site is so easy to access and see. I also wish I didn’t go to see if it was true. How can it still be up? You would think vile shit like that would be rooted out fast in 2025. I’m disgusted. IMGUR isn’t perfect but it is absolutely better than anything else I have seen. I just want memes and interesting topics to scroll through when I’m in bed. I don’t need NSFW content and I certainly as shit never want to see CP or anything in that realm. WTF.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm used to seeing people call anime fanart "literal CP" on the current hellish state of the internet (and as abuse survivor, don't equate human suffering to cartoons you INSUFFERABLE children,) but WOW no imgpile is just. The tribute posts are RIGHT THERE and I'm going to go call my therapist and take a trazodone. https://report.cybertip.org/ for the love of god put this site on blast with the proper authorities. What a miserable way to start the day.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Tbh, I'd love to make an Imgur alternative. The only problem is money for the hardware required to host such a platform.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Whenever imgur dies maybe I'll finally just stop browsing the internet. I've already deleted every social I have and refuse to use anything that involves curation algorithms. Probably for the best: the less time I spend online the happier I am.

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This is precisely what I said would happen back when everyone was rage quitting Imgur and talking about creating a new site to replace it. Every time I see people do that, whatever site/group they create quickly turns into an even worse cess pit than what they abandoned. The only time I've seen it work out "successfully" was when 4chan split off from SomethingAwful, and it's pretty questionable if that could be counted as a success given all the shit that 4chan has done over the years.

https://s3nd.pics/ Some Imgurians have found there way here.

Can confirm.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not really. I much prefer Discuit.org these days. I'm only here now because I'm in a tiny Secret Santa here, so I stopped by to check on messags.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good to see you all the same

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not gonna' go look but if we're talking actual CP, then you report to the FBI, not site mods

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That's why I'm raising the awareness. The site is unmoderated and there is no ability to report it. The FBI wouldn't do me much good as I'm not american, but as soon as the RCMP offices open up I'm making a phone call.

I've met some great people here!

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Took 10 seconds. Ran into my first shady picture of either a very petite girl, or an underage teen, no face to check. Yeah, this is really bad. Reported to Dutch authorities

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yep. Done the same.
Yugh. Picture: "Beautiful women"
Open link. It's fucking 5 year olds. I threw up a little and also reported the entire fucking site. They can choose, go down in a fire, or sweep it clean.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Reported them to the internet watch foundation, the compamy running that page is apparently located in tue UK so that will get "fun" for them.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You sure its UK? According to a whois search, this is the registar info:

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

According to the about page and TOS the offices for the company running it are in tue UK, what you're seeing there is the company that registered the IP, likely in the name of the UK office.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is way worse than what Imgur was about 8 years ago. This site used to bash on anything like that but kept it's degenerate sense of humor.

At least now I know where all the russian gta posts have gone to. Imgpile does give me some very old imgur vibe but seriously what the F**k wrt the pds

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

also, I don't like the web interface.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did my duty as a Canadian but holy batfuck, Batman, that site is... well, gross and heinous come to mind. Whoever runs imgpile should have things done to them that I will get banned if I actually spell out. Let's just say that the final step involves a slipknot.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The RCMP are taking it very seriously. They've escalated it to a serious crimes unit, one that deals specifically in these kinds of extremely illegal cases. Already had them by to give a proper statement and everything. Hopefully whoever is in charge of imgpile gets a visit from their local police very soon.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The police will only protect them from the fate they truly deserve. These crimes are not dealt with nearly harshly enough anywhere. This is a crime where you shouldn't get a second chance, and recidivism should be 0% because conviction should result in an automatic execution.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Report it to the FBI or something. The lack of a report feature means the website condones it. They are making money of child porn and most likely child rape.

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

IDK at this point, with who they are protecting by dragging asses about certain files, and who is in charge, do u really think they would do anything about cp? (And this is assuming none of them are not Kiddy Molesters either, which I am sure plenty of them are)

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The admins and users aren’t rich or powerful, so they’ll act

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if not threatened (in some 'defensible way') by a higher up. If they can't find something on you, OR if your at ropes end anyways and are turning over what u know for lighter sentence, .. i mean just look what happened recently. One got posh prison, one got 'killed himself just as camera turned away'

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm in Canada so the best I can do is call the RCMP when they open in the morning. This isn't exactly an emergency situation, so I have to wait until normal operating hours and call the non-emergency line. It's 5:40 am right now, and I discovered this about two hours ago at like 3am. I'm just waiting at this point.

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

While the current revolt still rages on, at least the mods protect me from cp

3 months ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 2

The mods are part of the equation, but the the real movers are the people down in Usersub who report those things as soon as they appear. It's a joint effort between moderators and users. It's one of the few things everyone on this site agrees on... Pedos and Nazis can suck on the business end of a shotgun

3 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

Yup. Moderation is one thing but the unspoken-yet-clearly-agreed-upon morals of the community itself are why I stay on Imgur. Broad acceptance of things that are harmless and fine to have around, firm opposition to things that are clearly fucked beyond belief, and wall-to-wall solidarity in telling Nazis and pedos to go fuck themselves.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I live in usersub. I've seen the gif a bunch. Some boobs and a few sick fucks masturbating..never cp though. I think those days ended pre pandemic mostly here. I'm sure it still pops up, but it is handled swiftly by all

3 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Holy fuck, you weren't kidding about imgpile. Took 5s to find CP. Absolutely disgusting.

REPORT IMGPILE TO https://report.cybertip.org/reporting

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was all for an alternative to imgur after the last big round of protests, but this crosses a line. I'm all for freedom of expression, but that doesn't include kid-diddlers.

3 months ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 2

I'm of the opinion, and I'm pretty sure this is a hot take here, you can fantasize about whatever you want. I'm not the thought police. Draw pictures, roleplay, whatever you wanna do with other consenting adults. But the instant an actual, real child is involved, in any way at all? I will gladly strangle a person with my bare hands and watch the life bleed from their eyes with a smile on my face. Kids should not be involved in anything like that ever for any reason.

3 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I agree. Think whatever you want. DO whatever you want, unless it harms someone else.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Unfortunately, unmoderated image hosting always devolves into that; pedophiles flock to the few sites that doesn't ban them, cause they're banned everywhere else.

3 months ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Surely its not legal for a site to not control and remove illegal content. Im surprised such a place exists outside of the underground

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They need to be more than banned... A friend used to use the term "Manual castration"... It involves a sledgehammer and a sheet of metal....I'll let your imagination do the rest.

3 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

But why would they even search for that???

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think you misunderstand... People that share CP need to have this "manual castration" not be banned. They need to be forcibly removed from the genepool

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please report the site to

3 months ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

People in authority don't actually care about this stuff, they just care about looking like they care about this stuff.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

If it can affect their money or future money they will care and that’s it

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"surely it can't be that bad"....no, nope, nuh uh...they got it right out on the front page. How the fuck is that still a website and not a wiki page citing convictions?

3 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Is it drawings, AI, or photography? The first two are an unfortunate legal loophole. The third absolutely is the kind of thing that gets authorities involved.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on your country. A number of countries consider any portrayal of an underaged person to be CP, even if it's a drawing or an of-age performer portraying a minor.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea, but then you end up with a situation where they are running a server out of a place that does not punish it, its how pirate bay did it. Not impossible to catch, and should be attempted to be clear, but one will be prioritized.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, full out pics of kids. Right on the front page.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven't looked back a second time, but when I did it was just full of fascist propaganda and Russian military game screenshots. Seems like the natural decline I guess.

real CP or drawings?
If the former.. can't we report 'em??

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

REPORT IMGPILE TO https://report.cybertip.org/reporting

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

On the "SFW" side there's a few pictures altered to look like someone jerked off on them. On the "NSFW" side there's a dump pretty early on that contains a lot of "child modeling" pictures which are probably in the, "Should be considered kiddy porn but technically aren't" no matter how tasteless and exploitative the outfits and poses are. That dump also has two nude pictures, one "nip-slip" which might technically be legal, and a crotch shot of someone whose face you can't see for age guessing.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

HOW THE HECK A NIP-SLIP ISN'T ILLEGAL??
It's already illegal with some adults!

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As they would say on LegalEagle, "It depends." There are lots of factors involved. The picture was of a non-sexual nature, and that's the same way "pre-teen modeling" is legal in many areas even though it's basically CP. For a less politically charged example, consider how often the Sears catalog's lingerie section got used as softcore porn even though it's not pornographic material. Another factor that can muddy the waters is how many jurisdictions allow toplessness, even for women, in ->

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

3) in the servers'/hosts' country as well as whether or not that country has any other laws not present wherever the photo was taken. A picture of a burning, nude Vietnamese girl from the Vietnam War is certainly not CP, even if some people might ignore the "her back is burning" part and try for it anyway, but under the strictest letter of the law in some of the more repressed states in the US it could technically be counted as such strictly because she's underage and nude. Similar issues

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2) picture was taken, or was it taken by a perve. Context *can* matter here as it can often be the defining line between what is "memorabilia" and what is porn; see the case against Paul Reuben and his "kitsch memorabilia" that was conflated as gay and/or child porn. Finally, at least as far as I can think of off the top of my head, you have to consider jurisdiction where the site, and presumably pictures, are being hosted and whether or not any of the aforementioned laws have any equivalent

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1) public combined with laxer regulations and enforcement on pre and early pubescent children that can result in, as an example, girls under the age of 10 going around topless with no legal or social concerns whereas she'd be required to wear a top in 5 years. Then there are how any applicable laws about unintended exposure and voyeurism come into play and whether or not the picture would be viewed as accidental capture or intended voyeurism. IOW, was it something noticed after a legitimate

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

4) can crop up when you deal with less gruesome material like family photos from a nude beach in countries that are more relaxed, socially and legally, when it comes to nudity and sexuality.

So yes, the "nip-slip" might technically be legal because "it depends." Humans are messy, and because of that so are our laws. :-/

Imgcat.com?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

just like the other sites mentioned here. there's a selection of sites built by imgur users for imgur users they all suck in one way or the other. bad UI or they're in such early stages they aren't taking users or they are and users aren't posting because no ones on there.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I thought that was still in the works, not actually up and running yet.

3 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

You are correct. ImgCat’s team is taking a “slow and steady” approach, aiming to do things right instead of “move fast and break things”.

Pieces are starting to come together, though.

3 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

Will they be developing an app or will it be website only? Please tell me it’s an app

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm obviously biased... but it's a much better designed site, not just a clone with fresh paint. We're solving many of the long-running complaints we've had about filters, tags, content, etc. There's stuff that Imgur can't fix & has simply been cloned in those other alternatives. We've had extensive discussions around moderation & keeping things friendly, etc. Non-profit funding is a pain, but the right thing to do. So we have to finish it, but I think the end result will be worth the wait.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I worry that the result will be with the wait but other alternatives will have stolen any available momentum from disgruntled users, who started and finished their evaluation of alternatives a while ago.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are they? Do they have a blog or something announcing these things? Because the only visible page on the site hasn't said anything new.

3 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Well, there’s a Discord, and @BobTheWeak should be making more frequent updates (but he’s busy)…

But I also personally know some of the folks working on it, and they’re still progressing in the forward direction.

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Good to hear :)

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Had never heard of imgpile. Was also curious. Wish I hadn't been.

Perhaps you can report if you have a registered account? Not that I'm going to bother. The worst posts I saw seems to have been from a guest account, so looks like you don't even need one to post pedophile dreck.

3 months ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 0

Yeah, no. They're not even using the most basic autofiltering that virtually all websites use to identify child sexual abuse material. Fuck 'em. REPORT IMGPILE TO https://report.cybertip.org/reporting

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the site doesn't have an easily accessible report function and has content like you describe, it's probably best to report it to either the authorities or one of the NGOs that work with stuff like this.

3 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

To report illegal content on Imgpile (or any site), you'll usually need to find their specific "Report" link, but for serious illegal content like child abuse, contact the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) or report to the FBI's IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center), while for non-consensual intimate images (NCII), use StopNCII.org, as these specialized services can block harmful content across platforms. (1/2)

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

For Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM):

Do NOT try to download or share screenshots; just report the link.
Use the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) at www.iwf.org.uk to report and get it removed. (2/2)

If they’re hosted in the U.S., you likely can. Do a whois on the domain, see if there’s an abuse email there. If you can see what IP the domain resolves to, do a whois on that IP and that should tell you what hosting provider owns that IP and see if there’s an abuse email for the hosting provider.

S3ndpics is mostly okay as far as I can tell. But I do have the NSFW filter on, don't know what's behind that

3 months ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

Their NSFW filters are customizable. You can select a blanket on/off, or select more granular tags to exclude/include certain kinda of NSFW. Even with everything enabled, on those nights where I turn filters off, I've never seen anything that appeared illegal.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, S3ndpic is OK. The other one, not so much.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, can't speak for the others. I looked around briefly, but pretty much none of them had the volume to be a contender, and only S3nd seemed to have a shot.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ive tried to register an account with s3nd but I never got an email from them :(

I had that same problem, but it let me register and showed me confirmed anyway. You might just try logging on with your credentials and see.

Today or before that? AFAIK it's still semi manual to ensure as little garbage as possible

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's not bad just no one posts to it.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I enjoy some casual porn while I'm scrolling memes but it's like 8/10 NSFW posts on send are really gross and/or horse vaginas

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

s3ndpics has such an awful UX with its infinite scrolling plus waterfall layout (the closest thing to imgur's layout). I find it essentially unusable.

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I just hate that NSFW covers such a wide range. I like spicy memes, nudity in art, frank discussions about sex - what I don't like is female objectification shoved in my face the whole time.

3 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

S3nd has customizable NSFW filters

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Artistic nudity should be SFW, it's not sexual, it's just a naked person. Though I suppose that depends on your job..

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Oh, I definitely agree.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No it shouldn’t. Especially these days, when people can get reported and fired for viewing any sort of nudity. Don’t underestimate that. Better to be on the side of caution.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Even artistic nudes are something HR would have a word with me about if I were looking at them at my desk. They're not safe for work.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't mind NSFW pictures, but there was sexualized images of teens on there, with no way to report them. Imgur may suck at times, but I'll take the lack of naked kids any day.

3 months ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

Went, checked, reported imgpile to the local authorities to have them taken offline in the EU. All in favor of limited moderation and high freedom, but there's no excuse to allow cp to proliferate like that.

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

s3nd has an active filter that autotags csm and deletes it. There will be none of that

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

S3nd.pics has definitely got a lot of momentum behind it. I'm semi active there myself. The admins are very active and can be messaged directly with discord.

Reporting has been fully enabled via the context menu, and they are very fast to act.

3 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1
