I forgot to share the most recent update on the piano! Agh!
It works a bit better now, but it still has some issues to resolve. The vacuum motor is a bit quieter now that I learned to calibrate it, and I was able to replace two missing valve covers under the expression board that controlled the volume. Progress! It's not deafening!
At the moment my next steps are adding more sound dampening, because it's a small house and my cat is furious, and sealing the many air leaks in the vacuum system that drives the player mechanism. The more efficient I can get it, the less power the motor needs!
I'm hoping once I do that, all of the keys will start moving as they're played. They aren't sticking by any means. Just not enough *oomph* to move them all.
Also thanks to @kingarthur1991 on my Discord for insisting on paying for the Brittany Spears music roll! The neighbors are very confused. XD

The piano has bellows that create a vacuum. The paper has holes in it, and a key gets played when the piano draws in air through its hole.

Yep! The lever on the right side of the roll will rewind it (kinda violently haha) when switched over. It has pedals on the bottom^^

I've heard of a MIDI interface for them - needs a lot of retrofitting but you can feed it a MIDI stream to play rather than from paper.
