Good ol' spaghetti factory...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It exists.

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

There is one near me. It’s called Lilo, and it’s located in Pencoed. Good luck getting here.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Vapiano does exactly that.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's called Fazoli's, and it is awful; next!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Julia's in dutch train stations. It lets you do exactly that

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pastamania was supposed to be something like that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Italy we had pastarito pizzarito.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have Amore Pasta in yeg

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-Cringes in Italian-

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We'll call it... Think of the Pastabilities!

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Already got one! http://pastabilitys.net/

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Brilliant.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With a drive-thru... I been saying this for years

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have Pasta Cup in Australia

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is not how real - and for real I mean good - pasta is meant to be

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Santa Barbara, Ventura, Camarillo has "Presto Pasta" https://prestopasta.com/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i know several of these types of chains

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Be the change you want to see.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We used to have a Fazoli’s but unfortunately fast food pasta isn’t very good.

6 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 3

Which is weird because a good Italian gravy is pretty easy to make but so many companies fuck it up.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

But the slice of pizza as a side...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shut your mouth, it was awesome.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fast & good only happens in races.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always liked their baked spaghetti. Been ages since I've been there though

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The last time I went to one the cheese shakers had mold oof

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Love Fazoli’s

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But their endless breadsticks.......

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Try getting endless breadsticks at the drive through. And film it. I want to see. Not kidding.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like a whole bunch of breadsticks but they have to chop the ends off first.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pastacup in Perth Australia

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look for Piada. Think Qudoba but Italian food.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Who says qudoba over chipotle? The only thing they had going for them was the queso and now chipotle has it

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone with taste buds. Hate Chipotle. Qdoba is way better imo. Everyone is different though. You like what you like.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In Ohio at least there is Piata, Italian food, same company that owns chipotle I believe, very good.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

That’s what I was thinking too

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not related to chipotle. The guy who started it was also a founder of Brio, and used proceeds from selling that to start Piada.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm in Indiana and we have a Piada, Italian Street Food. Is yours similar?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's like italian chipotle

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Vapiano is really popular in europe

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nothing but Noodles is also a great restaurant.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That place shut down near me years ago I forgot the name until I saw it but I had no idea it was franchised. I loved that place so much

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Piada is basically Italian chipotle.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We have Vapiano in Europe

6 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

Yeah but the prices don

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Notebook keyboard x-x anyhow. Too pricey, quality is okay, but amount and service is terrible.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the U.S. too. It's _almost_ fast food.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's in Chicago, too!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's pretty good too. I go double shrimp and it's amazing!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Julia's on any major train station in my country.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hear Sicily used to have one of those....

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One in Charlotte, NC too.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, Vapiano is ... just okay. Too greasy for me though, and the quality isn't that great, unfortunately.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Idk, I don't eat very often there, but I like it

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have that in Australia and it is a terrible idea, because you stand around in line until someone cooks your pasta. Never went back.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You're allowed to go back to your table and come back for it

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

In Sweden, we get a little pager thing that will beep once its ready to be picked up.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Well, you don’t HAVE to stand there. I usually ask them how long it will be and then just go to the bathroom or get drinks in the meantime.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've been to it, isn't it cool seeing the cook make your food in front of you though?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

First and only time I've been the line was like 30 minute wait , and was hot as fuck ahaha would still go back it tasted great

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, that's why I never went back, because it's only interesting the first time for the novelty of it. This is subjective, obviously.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Noodles and Co has over 400 locations.

6 years ago | Likes 963 Dislikes 7

Went there once cause a friend recommended it, was thoroughly disappointed. Sauce was tasteless, and meatball tasted like any frozen generic

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

and the portion was smaller than expected. turns out my friend made 20 dollar orders with X4 meat and cheese

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We’ve got a ghengis grill. Pretty cool Mongolian food but make your own style. Can choose three types of noodle or rice.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

LOVE me some Noodles & Co

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its damn good, but its hard to justify going there to spend $10 on 50c worth of pasta.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Though full disclosure, my opinion is super biased since my favorite thing on the menu was simple buttered noodles. I should go back.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I went there once and never went back. Most bland food I'd ever tasted.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I liked it better when they still had a bunch of soups, now it is just pasta and like 3 shitty soups.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They closed all of them in my tristate area, damn what I would do for some pesto cavatappi with parm chicken

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah but the one closest to me smells like an outhouse and doesn't have any flavor.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Love going to them

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And some damn good gluten free mac and cheese. I lived on it during a recent work trip to Denver.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And they are delicious.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I ran a call where a guy but his arm up to his elbow thru the noodle machine at a noodle co

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They have zucchini noodles for a lower carb option too!

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

the zoodles and asparagus w/ chicken and shrimp :D

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Used to work there. Fucking loved the food.

6 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 0

The Mac and cheese with the chicken would put me in a food coma

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Saaame

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Pulled pork Mac is amazing

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They removed the only one available in NJ ?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There were like 4 or 5 at one point. I helped open a few of them but they closed all of them suddenly, within 6 months of each other.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same with Austin. I moved there, got excited to be in a big city where one should exist, looked them up and found a news article about 1/3

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

them being removed three years back or so. Was devastated. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They suck ass. I walked in expecting a ramen shop and got pasta mcdonalds.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 8

You went to a chain fast food spot expecting something that's not on the menu or implied in marketing, and were disappointed? That's on you.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't know they were a chain. The building they were in was a nice building in my town's centre. I thought it was a noodles place.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So a place you knew literally nothing about wasnt what you made wildly assumed it would be. That's still on you.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was shocked that the food they did serve was ass quality period.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't understand why people like it so much, but then I remember that lots of people enjoy bland food and McDonalds as well.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Thank you! I went to Noodle & Co once and never went back. So bland!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

also a place called Huhots too that does noodle bowls, and you can pick your meat, sauce, veg, etc

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Isn’t that more Mongolian bbq than a pasta place though? Like you can get pasta in your bowl, but it’s not really a pasta place...

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You are correct. It's certainly not pasta, but I upvoted the guy anyway because I fucking love huhot.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Be sure to tip well though! My buddy worked there. Servers get $2 an hour and cooks get maybe 4. Unfortunately people tip poorly at buffets.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s great! Except afterwards. Then you visit the PuPot.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah. Especially because no one is there to stop you from loading up on chili oil!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I find it confusing how Americans call pasta noodles. “Noodles and co” would be Asian food where I live.

6 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 13

Have you heard of restuarant "Shomi Noods"? The name would imply I'm pulling your leg, but I swear it's a real ramen place.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lol

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm American and I thought it was Asian food...so this is news to me...

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Used to have 3 sections of menu: Western, Mediterranean and Asian. Same food now, they just don't divide it like that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok. In the supermarket and they have all the little signs does it say noodles above the pasta products?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Either just pasta or pasta/noodle rarely

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pasta is a dish. A noodle is a component of the dish.

6 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 10

Pasta and noodles are made from different ingredients though?!

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 16

In Florida at least, an individual pasta is often referred to as a noodle, but I don't know of many people who call a whole pasta "Noodles"

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

We would say it’s all pasta and the individual ones would be pene, fusilli, spaghetti etc.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I didn't think we did. No one calls Lasagna "Noodles"

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I’ve seen it on here.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The romans got pasta from Asia soooo it’s all Greek to me

6 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

I should say the idea of noodles.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They are pretty much synonymous in the states

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes but Americans can’t seem to accept it’s a colloquialism

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

This is all quite silly

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know. So are getting really aggressive about it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They have both

6 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

And they're GREAT!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well that’s even weirder.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 11

No, it's "& co"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So the “co” is pasta?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

a noodle is a noodle, italian or asian

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I’m married to an Italian, never heard him or anyone in the family call them noodles.
