it seems most of the head shots are from the newer series, but Donald and Daisy might be from like, some super new series with Mickey and the group. Disney remakes these characters all the time
Cute. But actually she is apparently some ace pilot and flies experimental planes. Also a studious engineer in her own right. Apparently has a metalic arm.
Dark Wing Duck "technically" does not exist because it really is just a make believe world for Daffy Duck to make himself feel better/smarter than Bugs.
So I just watched the multi episode pile of Ducktales this month and Webigail is Mrs. Beakley’s grandaughter I believe, not Scrooges direct descendant. Beakley is a lady that applied for Scrooge’s nanny job to look after the boys when Donald joins the navy.
Is that about right? Has cannon changed? Is Ducktales not cannon?
Luckily for me, the German version is not that hard to find. The current translation covers PKNA, PK², and most of Pikappa. I hope that they will do PKNE soon as the next volume will probably be the final Pikappa one.
No worries! She wasn't in the 1987 cartoon (and Donald was only in like 9 episodes in S1). She's in the comics but not major character, I think? But yeah, she was great in the reboot, highly recommend it!
Nothing can Stop DELLA DUCK, especially when she's piloting the Cloud Slayer. Also the episode with Donald and Daisy doing the Die Hard reference on the episode were mark beaks hires a hitman to crash his Mommy's party was freaking awesome.
So, did Scrooge like inherit his wealth from his parents and the rest of his siblings got stiffed? I mean, Donald dresses like he was in the Navy and is angry all the time so there’s no way he has riches
Scrooge moved to America, and (I think) started out as a shoe shiner. Earned his first dime which he kept for luck. Then, through hard work and ingeniuity, became absolutley filthy rich. At first I think they made him seem like the miserly cut-throat business guy. But, over time, they transitioned him to just be the "hard work ethic and good business leader" type to retcon out of the miserly asshole phase.
Right? A lot of Disney lovers I know hate it because of the animation style, but I loved it. Brought variation to the triplets, gave Webby a personality and gave us Della. Also the origin story of the rescue rangers that happened mostly in the bsckground
I get that it is very different from the og Ducktales, but that hasn't stopped me from watching other shows when they got rebooted with new animation styles. Is it really that off putting?
Not new animation styles or changing the animation style in a reboot, no. This specific style I abhor, regardless of whether it's a reboot or something new.
There isn't, but if you want the closest to it, Don Rosa's works are a great start given how much of a stickler he's always been for creating a "canon" out of loose stories.
Barks never cared as much for creating a full-on canon as Rosa did 30 years after him though. But of course, all the credits to Barks for building up that universe to begin with.
It at the very least did not go on too long, so there is that silver lining. They ducked out before that, and had a good ending. Too many shows end with things hanging or go on too long for their own good.
In the original series timeline april, may, and june were daisy's nieces and webby was the nanny's grandaughter(?), but apparently... whatever this shit is happened in the new series.
Mostly I just hate when follow up series do revisions on character histories. Not sure why the nanny had to be a secret double agent or the childhood friend to the triplets had to be a secret genetic experiment. Introduce new characters. The rest is golden.
mormonbatman
Op, there's a whole world of non-tv/non-movie McDuck media in comics.

Did Scrooge reproduce parthenogenically? He can't even produce eggs, and doesn't possess the female W chromosome to create female clones of himself

In the Ducktales series from 2018 which this char is based off of, it was a plot by F.O.W.L. Webby was first, but rescued by Beakley.

Why is she called Webby when April is right there.
EmporerDragon
April was her birth name, but was renamed after being recovered from the cloning facility. The other 2 clones kept their original names.

Della Duck was awesome in the new series. My favorite character.

Never even heard of Della Duck. But I’m in my mid-30s.
What happened to her that Donald ended up with Daisy?
LincLoud
Della is Donald's sister. Daisy is Donald's girlfriend.

Well for starters, she's his sister.... but in the 2017 Reboot she's stranded on the moon.

Scrooge earned his entire fortune through hard work and ingenuity. (Fictional remember) the first job he had was a shoe shiner.
qtRaven
One customer paid him with an american dime which was useless in Scotland. Scrooge kept it as a reminder and it became the '#1 Dime'.

Scrooge McDuck had kids?

Nope. Webby (aka April) is Scrooge's opposite-sex clone, created without his knowledge or consent. May and June are clones of Webby.

Why? Because it's cool and fun for kids. Why do you need more reasoning than that?
Dagordae
You say as if there was ever a solid canon to the many, MANY, years and adaptions of Scrooge McDuck.
