What a waste of space humans are. Just think of where we could be if all the effort was put towards doing good instead of bad. There's a reason why people climb clock towers but unfortunately they never get those who deserve it. We're absolutely fucked and most people are wearing ass hats

Missed a few spots, like installing Pinochet and removing Mossadegh.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Known about this for some time, but a ton of people don't. Yep, the CIA seriously screwed up SO MUCH when they decided to mess around. They messed around and sadly the American people are finding out.

Damn, the Burn Notice prequel series looks lit.

Did they tho? The CIA is better-funded than ever and still operating with 0 oversight.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Sounds like most of the big corporations out there. Repercussions? Nah. Funding? Yes.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Helluva music choice Khruangbin helluva band. Especially bc their band is amongst others inspired by 1970s Afghan funk music genre.

CIA is just playing the long game. We're not sure what that means, but we're pretty sure it involves gorillas.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gotta love knowing they would investigate the CIA's MKUltra, only for them to burn almost all papers relating to it. Almost as if they were doing the worst shit imaginable (Sirran Sirran springs to mind) and being in league with most of the drug trade and revolutions that occur on the planet.

Thank this dude for this concise documentary.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean....it's just a cooking school...

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Concise & accurate

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

If anything, it was too concise. They left out a whole bunch of heinous shit the CIA are responsible for...

Let's not forget about MK Ultra

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pigs oops police. That got me lol

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone born in the 80s, they fucked about and I was the one who found out. Not fair...but (plays Frank Sinatra)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some call it blowback. Others have called it karma for centuries

2 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 2

I thought it was collateral damage.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chalmers Johnson called it Blowback

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's neither. They achieved their goal. Hell, most of those things are bonuses to them. Job security, helping them be racist against Muslims and black people, allowing the US to have "justification" for another war... They love this shit.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's as planned.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's the point. Not like any of this is not going according to plan. (Not all of it was planned but the CIA is an opportunistic bunch of assholes)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And some people wonder why we are openly and deeply hated by whole regions of the world. Add in US Foreign policy (Amazingly Fascist) and the ability for the US to wage Economic War, the only reason that the entire world has not tried to kick in our teeth is because we made ourselves the single point of failure for every economy on the planet. It would be brilliant if it was not so evil.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And the CIA just calls it "bummer that people found out".

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Took them damned long tho"

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They have 1 purpose. De-stabilize governments to advance US interests. By any means necessary. Sanctioned terrorism.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bold of you to assume the CIA cares enough to be upset about any of this.

2 years ago | Likes 444 Dislikes 1

If they could read, they would be very upset by this!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're really only upset because they forgot to train the dogs of war that they raised.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is as funny to the CIA as it is to us, just from a different perspective. "Yeah, we did that. It was pretty fucked up LMAO."

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Why be upset, secret operations are perfect for pocketing state money.

Yeah, it’s not like it hurt any banana companies or anything

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The CIA only looks out for one guy Also, have you heard of the Nugan Hand Bank? /gallery/Fz6ybJa

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Yeah, we managed to get the US diplomat corps to *promise* to not overthrow our government in the future after this.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Upset? This is a recruitment program!

2 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 1

So yes. But also the problem in these scenarios was CIA thought all they needed to do was support the opposition. There was no forethought in stabilization after the objective waa achieved. (Annnnnd corruption within CIA but that's another matter)

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

They just supported destabilization against countries not aligned with US interests.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's just a general problem with Americans no though. No forethought ever

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

Maria Tambien - Khruangbin is the song if anyone was interested.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Prior to that it was the OSS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Strategic_Services The history of espionage in the 40-50s is fascinating.

Check out how incredibly stupid and weird the removal of Mossadegh by Kermit Roosevelt was.

ah, cheers.
