Calendar one = WAY too much effort to be a "hack"

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The dresser bench better be a pretty high quality dresser to begin with, if you use ikea, you will have a pile of scrap after the first sit

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or you could just, you know, buy a calendar. :D

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lego key holder is a great idea

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah...for when I get a "cold".

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The toast thing may start a fire actually. Know from first hand experience. Would not recommend.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That floating cooler will be great for camping

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I lol'd. +1

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The floating beverages. I mean why? Why not just have em' stationary instead of having to swim around to get a drink.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

lol that's great

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I wonder how well that umbrella works...think it can handle a downpour?

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I have absolutely no reason why it was thought up as a necessary replacement. Apparently umbrella covers were a scorn?

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"I would be so lost without life hacks" - no one ever

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Something, something, favorite to never see again.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

something, something, ditto...except I've actually tried a couple...and they do work like crazy magic.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, clean your lint catcher, that shit's flammable

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And if wasps build a nest in the outside vent, your dryer could overheat and burn up the thermostat. $$!!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a calendar

12 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Why buy a calendar? I have a phone, my phone has a calendar. Its easier.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

commenting for future references

Keys Lego 3 = KL3. Post is life Haks. H comes after K = 3HL = HL3 = Half Life 3 confirmed!

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

H comes after K?

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Shhh...Dont ruin his moment. It'll be over soon anyways.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why the fuck is Pinterest leaking so much?

12 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Must be that time of month for Pinterest.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You better simmer down before we bring our fish-tail braided army and ruin your life with glitter!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bring it on Wives. Make sure those knives have cute handles you painted yourself. I'll make sure mine are sharp! :)

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll be there as soon as I'm done building shit out of garbage I found and taking 17 hours to do it.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How to fit two bowls in a microwave and then have one fall over because of the rotation and make a huge fucking mess.

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Our microwave has the option to make the turntable stop moving.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Instead of having a random Lego fixture on the wall, why not use hooks?

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Because it's fun. . . .

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

brb, coating my body in crisco and lighting myself on fire. YOLO, right?

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Yes, yolo. Now get crackin.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

brb, opening a retirement fund and making a doctor's appointment for a health checkup. YOLO

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

YOLO BRO

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BROLO

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still don't get that whole touching your fingers together to see how cooked your steak is.

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That calendar is too much effort for a life hack. Its a craft project. Also you would have to switch the days or make a new one every month.

12 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 7

Hey, need to write down something happening next month? Fuck You.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Get a bigger piece of glass/frame and more paint swatches? There's nothing stopping you from making a giant 365 day calendar out of this...

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In fact, I kind of like that idea a bunch. *scribbles on list of projects to do*

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you use a dry erase marker on the glass to write the dates.

12 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Now I feel stupid. For some reason I thought that it was on the paper itself.

12 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

:)

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can someone explain the steak one to me please? :(

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Dude it just took me a million years to figure out how that key rack worked

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I know. Way too long for me too.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

smoked too much?

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but yes actually

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Instead of photocopying, just put the paper against the back of the power strip and poke holes with a pencil.

12 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

some people are just over-thinking their solutions

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Also, don't photocopiers reduce the image size slightly? (Required to stop people copying money.)

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Most modern photocopiers are built so that if you try to copy money it either comes out completely black or won't copy at all

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just tested with a modern Canon iR-ADV C5051 and it did neither. Came out with full details.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just tested with a Canon iR-ADV C5051. It did not reduce the size of a $10 bill at all. There are security measures that make copying (1/2

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the bills not enough. http://www.secretservice.gov/know_your_money.shtml

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that sounds fake to me.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Life Hack, buy an air umbrella! Now you have an air umbrella!

12 years ago | Likes 1451 Dislikes 2

they're not real.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

...-ella, -ella, eh, eh... I'll show myself out

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I have a feeling this wouldn't work too well in really heavy, driving rain.

12 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'm trying to picture that standing up against even small hail.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Life hack, buy a prototype icecube tray, then you'll have an icecube tray that's not available to everyone

12 years ago | Likes 372 Dislikes 0

What's an air umbrealla?

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I hate that umbrella. It always shows up on these lists. ever notice how there aren't any real pictures? because it doesn't work!

12 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

If anyone can find a working model on the market, PLEASE provide a link. I've looked but can't find one

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Step one: wait for someone to actually invent a working model and bring it to market.

12 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Air umbrella around your head, now your hands are free to play your new air guitar.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

This should be top comment

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Crisco candle is completely stupid.

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

wax crayons might work better

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought they only burned for 30 minutes in an emergency...

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only in an emergency.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

i said better not longer

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought the Lego one was dumb because you'd have to unhook your keys everyday. Them I realized what was actually going on.

12 years ago | Likes 793 Dislikes 3

I thought that too!! And I thought it said "HEYS!!" on top.... :/

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I made one of these for myself and my husband. It's awesome!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are not a master builder.

12 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

I had to think about this comment.

12 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I, too.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i thought that until i read this comment.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You are not the only one with a fantastical mind, i too had the same throught process. Lol

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Obligatory upvote because that was what I was going to say.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good i thought i was the only one. I still feel ashamed I just know I'm not alone.

12 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

me too, ahhaa!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not the only one?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I looked at it for way longer than i should have to figure that out. I should be asleep.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Umm...so what was actually going on?

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still seems a bit dumb to have to carry a block of lego on your key ring just so you can hang it up on a lego key board.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

It does seem a bit dumb when you consider that actual hooks would fare much better.

12 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 0

I think this would be great for kids actually, to encourage them to keep track of their keys (ok I've stayed home alone since I was 8).

12 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's great for my grown-ass husband, to encourage him to keep track of his keys!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But wouldn't look as cool (necessarily)

12 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

or hold as securely, for that matter.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I thought that for a second, but then asked a new question; how hard is it to get the ring in that thing?

12 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

That's all I could think. Wouldn't it bend the ring out shape? I know mine are bad enough after I take a keyring off a few times.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I made one! It doesn't bend the ring out of shape at all!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then try this I must!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, do it! It's really great! My husband and I use it all the time- now he never loses his keys anymore.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PSA: PLEASEEE DO NOT PUT THAT ICEPACK RIGHT ON YOUR SKIN. It gets wayyyy colder than normal ice, I gave myself frostbite and it got infected

12 years ago | Likes 538 Dislikes 1

No for real, I did this too. Not ok.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Good point. Also, don't hold your hand directly above an open flame, the heat can lead to a second, or even third degree burn.

12 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

I had it on maybe 10 minutes tops. It literally froze my ankle like the skin was icy

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well MAYBEEE you should have kept your jacket on

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I should clarify its still fine to use it, just put a towel or a shirt or something between that and the skin

12 years ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 1

You're always supposed to do that with ice packs.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Your username is giving me such a bad mental image of WHERE you applied that icepack.

12 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It doesn't get colder since the freezer is all the same temperature, but it transfers heat faster so it feels colder

12 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 5

Heat capacity, bitches!

12 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

*Thermal conductivity, bitches!

12 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Hodor

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a Physiotherapist Assistant who deals with ice packs, you should never, ever, put any type of ice pack on your skin without at (1/2)

12 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 1

least 3 layers of material, usually a towel, between the ice pack and your skin, clothing does not count as a layer. Same goes for heat.

12 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

So what about ice baths?

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

at all, personally. It's not really good for the body at all.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ice baths are never used as a therapeutic treatment. However, we do use body temperature water for therapy. I wouldn't recommend ice baths

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I do 20 minute ice baths sometimes on high volume training days and they save me. Helps to get every angle that ice packs can't. Thoughts?
