I'm sorry, but that man is clearly Jake Gyllenhaal. The grin is unmistakable. Confess, Jake!

To this Julie Nelson: if you find the memes "despicable", but do not consider the Healthcare system vastly more despicable, then you are a terrible person and we don't care about your opinion

#11 funniest thing is i literally watched this movie 2 days before it happened

Feels like using this guy’s picture over and over for memes has dipped into misinformation considering he’s not the guy.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You would have to lower the cost of healthcare per month to the price of a single 9mm round for me to testify against this man

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Tbf i think he hit him with 3, so 3x that and we good.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 is not the same person as the shooter, fyi.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's what I'm hearing now, did that break yesterday? Tryna keep up, but I worked a lot this week lol

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It might be good to tell CEO’s that once per year there will be someone coming for one of them and it will be the worst one in the spotlight. Give them an incentive to be moral and ethical humans instead of what they are now.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'll admit there's a part of me that's genuinely saddened by how gleefully humankind is reacting to the loss of a human life. But the rest of me remembers that karma's a bitch and you get what you give. So am I happy someone died? No. Am I happy that there's someone who can no longer hurt millions of people by being a greedy corporate asshole and other greedy corporate assholes have started to hesitate and reconsider? Very.

This was only a matter of time and is just the first step. I'm actually surprised it took this long.

When cops are corrupt and policians are corrupt, vigilantes do the job instead. Justice is still served.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It looks like he was assassinated by Dimitri Martin in one picture.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The shooter is never going to see the inside of a court or even a jail cell. I can guarantee you that if the police ID him they'll be shoot to kill.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

body guards are in high demand right now, i wonder why?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure the smiling guy is Jake Gyllenhall.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Politician reaction to school shootings have taught us that killing folks is ok. It's more important to defend 2A rights than to control guns and protect people. And now that someone gets killed who is head of a company folks hate.. why do they expect anyone to have any sympathy? It's sad he leaves 2 kids behind. But, humans created society so we could help each other, and the rich have bastardized it into a salt mine that demands more productivity while barely paying us enough to survive.

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I'm sure his kids will be devastated in their yacht in Mallorca

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How old are his children anyway? Old enough to work in daddy's company?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Don't worry, those kids will die in a school shooting soon, they won't have long to be sad.

Every revolution has a flash point. A lot of moments leading up to outrage and anger from one side (generally the unwashed masses) met with dismissal and more crack-downs and punishments by the other side (generally the leadership). But, there's always that one straw that breaks the camel's back. School shootings weren't it. A coup wasn't it. I doubt this will be it, either. But, we're seeing that we're getting closer and closer to that flash point.

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Honestly, been watching the distance shrink faster and faster before we hit that point. And I'm so fckin ready my friends. Seen far too much suffering already.

There's no such thing as a "90% error rate". It produced exactly the desired outcome: denying people the coverage they deserved, and paid for.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Exactly. It had a 10% error rate

I wish it was, but we thought Trump's crimes during his first term would be, we thought the insurrection would be. Hell, we thought Sandy Hook would be, and it wasn't. Nothing changes. I think it'll take more than this. Maybe if more people follow suit and kill other healthcare execs. Or NRA leadership or something. Something to make them realize they need to change. But I don't know if that's even possible at this point.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can we make a wishlist ?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're what I call "a realist". We had massive problems before Trump and we're about to have generations worth after him. We elected a convicted federal criminal to turbo boost the civil oligarchy that, arguable, already was mostly in control. One dead CEO doesn't make me feel better, no matter how awful he was.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Exactly. I wish this was the tipping point, but seeing what's been allowed to come before it without causing a tip, I doubt this is it. The BLM protests and the subsequent riots is another. That was a more likely tipping point than this, and it changed nothing.

I'd argue the one on the right had a much harder target.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

You are not wrong. He had been discovered and was in a bit of a hurry

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Go read the radio transcript of the agents who spotted him. TLDR is they saw him, made fun of him for looking like someone who plays Magic the Gathering, then had a conversation about MtG and lost track of him until shooting started. Hilarious, frankly.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

This is what I've been saying, he was a fucking serial killer and he deserved to die

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Saying that he was a "serial killer" is pretty far fetched I'd say.

Mass murderer would be more appropriate…

I've denied coverage to insurance companies for most of my life. Meaning, I have gone most of my life without insurance at all, and it has consistently been cheaper than having insurance. And nobody can deny any procedures. I did have to pay $8K for surgery in 2012, but if I'd had insurance, my copays would have been about that much, and I'd have had to pay premiums, too. US Hospitals give steep discounts to self-paying patients.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Those "steep discounts" are the actual costs before the 1000 to 5000 % markup.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, they're still massively uncharged, because the hospitals are also for-profit. Probably still better, though

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which they may pass on to insurance companies; idk. They didn't pass them on to me. I've gotten decent health care, in the USA, without insurance, for very many years. And I have had a few catastrophic health incidents (bad gall bladder, double hernia, melanoma, etc). Still cheaper without insurance.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm tired of seeing the smiling man being confused for the shooting man.

Quick, everybody find more photos to confuse with the shooting man.

In fairness, they are probably both smiling.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ditto, AFAISaw news outlets sprinkled backtracking claims as one being a "suspect" vs the other as "person of interest". Thing that had me close the tab was people replying to "not the same person" comments with(paraphrased): Thats what they're saying dummy, they're two different people. One is a suspect and one is a POI.

Not interested in a YT comment battle: No dummy that is not what they're saying at all. The police f'ed up, news f'ed up; they know they f'ed up. They're obfuscating to CTA.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Oh is it not the same guy?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same. Not even close to the same person. Feel bad for that dude.

1 year ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

The people posting these memes should at least make the effort to keep up with the actual events.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I hope it won't ruin his life. But it might make him popular enough to make money off being famous. Perhaps be a guest on a talk show or something.

Im just waking up. Smiling man is not shooting man?

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

If you look at the comments below there is a meme that says "Insurance too high?", that is the actual shooter. You can see the jacket is different. One has pockets on the front and one doesnt, also the color is different I think

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you look at the picture of smiley wearing the backpack, nothing matches. Different backpack, jacket missing chest pockets, shooter's hood is part of the jacket where smiley's looks like a completely different material, facial structure and skin tone don't match. They basically went to Shutterstock and looked up "white male on college campus"

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Naw he's just that good. He changed his face and clothes.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I haven't seen any news saying he is NOT, which is crazy to me

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That doesn't get clicks or views. All about generating buzz

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's fine. Anything to steer them in the wrong direction.

1 year ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 5

Until smiling man gets arrested. It's not fine to wreck some other dude's life just for memes.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Cops will probably fill him full of holes rather than arrest him. Then “oops he wasn’t the guy but we thought he had a gun. Oh well.”

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, true. People are just painting a target on this poor guy.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I wonder if the smiling man feels that way.

1 year ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

It’s just Jake Gyllenhaal - he’s used to extra attention

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I mean... Unless he's a billionaire and/or predatory CEO he's probably happy to help. I sure would be. Our hero deserves every chance to escape unscathed for doing the world this favor.

Unless they actually identify and arrest him, and he has to spend money on a lawyer. That would suck

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He likely has a hefty lawsuit which will make him millions off this if he chooses to go the American route of suing for any and everything.
