Blood Debts (1985)

You don’t need context. Nobody needs context. Even the names in the credits are amazing.

This is some “Hard Ticket To Hawaii” bullshit right here and I love it.

Man those credts.... there is a LOT of "yeah I'll do your movie for you to help out, but for the love of god lets not use my real name" energy to it.

"Hey, let's give him a slider so his backup gun can slide right in to his hand." "Great idea! How does it work?" "Well he picks up the gun with his other hand and slides it along his arm in to his hand". "Er..."

Hah. Mark, the bazooka killer? Hilarious and awful, even for 1985.

…when you blew the budget on explosions and the producers order you to wrap before you’ve finished shooting.

More films should end right as the antagonist is exploded.

Really would've cut down on the runtime of Return of the King.

HAD to read the Wiki. Mark basically does a Punisher but then his still alive wife makes him stop. The evil (but maybe good?) guy he blew up liked that Mark made the streets safer, however, so he kidnapped the wife to blackmail Mark to keep killing. Mark, of course, immediately killed the evil (good?) guy and his henchmen.

Not actually good. Was using him for his own means

Done right, this could honestly be kind of an interesting premise.

I have a sudden urge to impress Jodie Foster

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fun fact: This movie lead to the assassination attempt on Reagan. Hinckley identified with Travis Bickle(De Niro) and became obsessed with Iris Steensma(Jodie Foster). He eventually started stalking Foster, and attempted to assassinate Reagan to raise his status to impress Foster (who was a minor at the time). He actually liked Reagan & told his parents Reagan was the positive change America needed.

Imagine how scary it would be if that actually worked in real life. It would be the Purge before every Prom and school dance, let alone singles night at public venues
