That's easy to say as long as your hands work… My grandmother played bridge with friends every week for decades. Toward the end, none of her group could reliably deal cards any more.
If you want something like this that isn't made of cheap materials and isn't built with slave labor, you're going to have to pay actual machine prices, which are probably a lot more than you're willing to for an automatic card dealer.
The one I have was cheapish and shuffles just fine and quickly. Keeps my cards crisp and new. Tbf it's not regular playing cards. They're a part of the Villainous games and I don't want wear and tear on them. I can't just go get a new deck down at the convenience store.
I don't mind them taking longer. Robotic vacuums and lawnmowers also take much more time than me doing it myself, but with them, it's not me who has to spend the time.
You are greatly underestimating my ability to drop half the cards on the floor and still end up with a horribly shuffled deck with many clumps of cards that were grouped together from the previous rounds.
I mean that is quite normal isn't it? There are a lot of tasks done by a dedicated person, which will be cheap than a machine. The quality is the issue. The casino can fire bad shufflers. When we shuffle cards, no one really is enthusiastic about it, so everyone has to do it. Which results in either some wait periods or some games which clearly showed bad shuffling...
ERS skill and fast dealing is all in the elbow. You can help a little bit with your other hand’s thumb prepping the next card to send out, but practice makes perfect.
Thing is, aside from quick-draw-samurai battles, there are not many daily uses for that movement, making indirect practice almost impossible.
So keep your blades sharp and wits sharper and don’t be afraid to add a little elbow grease as needed.
Same here. In the 90s, we watched God of Gamblers and then became card playing addicts. I don't play cards now but occasionally my coworkers think it'll be fun to play poker or blackjack or something and I become Rainman to them.
anotherIngloriousHandle
can it deal to 5 players?
graehall
Looks like another in a line of cheap plastic products that after a short time will end up in a landfill and create yet more microplastics

Where does one acquire such a mechanism?
xo66nt

No, I want everyone paid high wages AND for everything to be cheap! I demand to have my cake and eat it too.
Einstein9073

poochyena
adding /s kinda ruins the joke, imo.
WoopDeFrickenDoo
this is one of htose things that doesn't work in real life, isn't it
Magnasplit
And are actually not that needed. I mean how hard is it to deal cards that you need a machine to do it?
hotrodny
How hard is it to just walk to work that you need a car to get there ?
Magnasplit
I walk and take the train, but don't really see how that compares.
LinemanMatt
Depends on if you have bad arthritis or some other physical limitations.
Magnasplit
Thats a good point, didn't think about that.
Ubik360
But I still have to shuffle it myself?
hushpuppyextraordinaire
Don’t worry it will last one battery cycle, and be in a goodwill box soon. You will be back to shuffling and dealing in no time.
kwyjiboner
There are automatic shufflers
NoodleDragonSoup
Now I just need something to play the game for me.
RoboUnicornFishBalls
I found one in a charity shop, £0.50. It's been brilliant for all our card games, it's always on the list of "What should a bring tonight?"
SomeDetroitGuy
Automatic shufflers suck unless you're spending a FUCK TON of money on them. They also generally take longer than just shuffling yourself.

The online casino I occasionally head to has dedicated people shuffling, rather than autoshufflers. Less expensive, better shuffle.

I am no longer allowed to shuffle, or even touch the deck before game start. The cards ended up sorted
Alurkerforcedtologin
My uncle could deal cards so fast it made me wonder if he worked in a casino or illegal gambling hall when he was younger.
MarkOfTheCovenant
Feel like that's a question you could've gotten to the bottom of by asking him lol
samwyze
I bet we'd all be able to do that if video games weren't created.
SteveTheEgg
I've been playing poker since I was 5, you learn to do it if you try.

Oh my, mine died in prison for that. There seems to be a pattern. Or we have the same uncle.

I could deal super fast in my 20's, but me and some friends did play cards more or less daily back then.
