Most viral edit: Thanks for the upvotes, my dudes! I kinda didn’t expect this one to get out of usersub hence the lack of source or context.
@keyblader1985 is correct, this post has nothing to do with Trump, or at least it didn’t when I posted it. I found the pic in some thread about Kristi Noem and the trend of Botox injections and big lips, they refer to it as Mar A Lago face. Kristi et al are assholes, and it’s easy for me to discard all my values and zero in on the low hanging fruit that is their appearance. Hence why this pic was a good reminder that for every asshole I make fun of in my rants or comments, I could be hurting others with real and uncontrollable issues.

I was not aware of the seriousness of body dysmorphia, and I had some pretty misguided ideas on it, especially when it comes to men, here is a good summary on it if you want to learn more:

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/9888-body-dysmorphic-disorder

One new thing I learned from all the comments here that I will think about on my way to work. I made a post about the Derek guy who makes fun of right wing fashion choices. How does that fit into this updated framework?

Original post:
It’s a low hanging fruit and I’m sure I’m not the only one who does this. It’s a hard change to make but I’m trying.

Actions are all that matter

If imgur told me anything. It's okay to body shame as long as you don't like the guy.

I've seen so many people insult musk, trump and Andrew by only the way their body looks.

Like THATS the problem with these people!?

How about insulting them about horrible things they did. Not because they look like me, my friend or father who's insecure about his body.

And don't act like you expect trump to open imgur, look at you post, see a bad pic of himself and then gets his feelings hurt.

I wish we all were good people.

People are very used to doing so, to the point where many will agree to this in principle, agree with what you’re saying and then the very next post say “that man looks like a pedophile”. It’s inbuilt to many of our criticisms to try say something we think will garner support of those around us and the constant aim for “zingers” ends up catching others

It's hard not to do it, but it's easy to better yourself with time

Hating on Bill Cosby for being a rapist is normal. Hating on Bill Cosby for being black is racist. This logic can be extended to other people and other characteristics.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is why you should get more creative with your insults. My favorite insult for Trump (appearance-wise) I've seen is "He looks like the villain in a movie that has a dog for its protagonist."

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, if you constantly make angry hateful expressions, they mark your face. If marjorie smiled all the time, you think she'd look like that?

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

AOC making fun of buddy for his height like he should feel bad for being short made 40-50% of the country feel attacked. Not really a good approach when the insults apply to so many. Low hanging fruit for sure.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It has always been bit funny to me that there is this person who happens to be racist, rapist, paedophile, that thinks he know everything about anything but really is pretty dumb and the best insult people can up with is "Fat and ugly".

5 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Cus it works. It fucks his fat ugly ass up. Worse than calling him rapey fascist chomo does.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It reminds me of a web comic I saw once, and I wish I could find again. In it people were yelling at a bad person, and one person called the bad person fat, and the friend standing next to that person pointed out that they are fat and it hurt their feelings. Suddenly the person that called the bad person fat turned on their friend saying, "Oh, so you're on their side now? How very.. fat of you..." I barely remember the details of the comic, but that was the gist.

Fat bald middle aged liberal here.

Yep.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So many people are talking about Trump. OP didn't say a single thing about him. This is about anyone who isn't conventionally attractive, or is fat, or skinny, or dresses a certain way, or uses a lot of makeup, or whatever. Or for anyone who uses "small dick" as an insult.

5 months ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

because it's mentioned constantly here - fat, orange, silly hair... we even call him cheetolini and the fascist tangerine

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Tell imgur not to make fun of people's appearances:

BUT NO ONE IS ORANGE! YOU CAN'T STOP ME! DIAPERS ARE FOR BABIES! INCONTINENCE IS HILARIOUS! TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP!

Meanwhile, OP was talking about literally anything but Trump's diaper or tan.

Seriously, the website that declared September 1st "THANK GOD ALL OF THE POLITICAL POSTERS LEFT BUSINESS DADDY NOW WE CAN BRING BACK OLD IMGUR" Day sure is in its feelings for politics at every turn.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Trust me, when physical attributes are someone's go-to target of mockery, they are too intellectually short to pick any other fruit at all.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

I anticipate that a lot of people here won't get this. It'll fly over their heads.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Here’s AOC advocating shaming someone for being short. I was really disappointed to see it, frankly.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Yeah, I saw that and I was confused. Telling people to laugh about someone's else appearance is low, lacks real criticism. She tried to justify it saying that they act based on frustration, but not everyone that sahre that trait is inherently incompetent or corrupt. Just stick with real criticism about their actions, it doesn't matter if they are ugly, fat, disabled or if they have different skin colour. When republicans say it is wrong, but when AOC tells it, everyone cheers for her...

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Sure, there's a particular sting when you're mocked for something you can't change, but I think the insults about someone's choices hurt the most.
I don't even think you have to be witty or eloquent, just sincere and honest. The more accurate and specific, the better. And say it like you pity them for extra points. My 2 cents, anyway

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

/gallery/CwkSLef/comment/2477298927 it's not just about things outside of your control. Basically if it has no bearing on their moral value and it's not hurting anyone, don't make fun of it, because you're also making fun of everyone else who looks like or is into that. This is basic kindergarten stuff - don't make fun of people.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree but I thought that point was made well enough by the original post and I wanted to add some thoughts I had after reading the comments.

I get it, but I saw "Pumpkin Spice Antichrist" on here and I just.. I just think it would apply to no one else

I would just like to apologize to all the other incontinent people who feel insulted because I did and do refer to the current occupant of the White House as Diaper Don.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

This is why we lost. The Right infiltrated every facet of government while we argued what names are ok to call Nazis

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Nah man. Plenty of genuine tactical errors the left wing made without resorting to this Russion Bot Tier argument.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Cosplayers and people imitating him for a gig, sure. But on a regular basis?

I mean... I'm a fat guy with saggy skin and bad posture. I'm not orange, but I have only marginally nicer hair...

Every time you insult Trump for his weight, or go on about the physique of "gravy seals" - they'll never see it, but myself and a dozen other people of that weight or body type will. And we're just people trying to make the world a better place, minding our own business. But we're the ones copping your insults.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think this is more in response to a recent post of a video of AOC telling people to make fun of Steven Miller for being short. There are plenty of short men out there who don’t deserve that.

5 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Could make fun of him for being short nosforatu?

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Agreed. But... say that on Reddit and you'll be downvoted into oblivion.

5 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

Same also saying the opposite, or saying you like ice cream.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Saying it on imgur has gotten me and others downvoted to oblivion.

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Hell, even here. I said that dozens of times with mixed results. People really need a lesson in empathy.

5 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

It's the internet. Why be empathetic when you can revel in your anonymity and be the jack ass you've always wanted to be, but are too much of a coward to be in public? But really, it's similar to how you treat those who have less than you. How you act when you're anonymous is a decent portrayal of your character.

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

You say that like there aren't regular posts here on Imgur with tonnes of upvotes bout how MTG is the most hideous women alive, and many comments downvoted to oblivion about how her being an evil feculant pisswobbler isn't a good enough excuse to be ragging on her appearance (especially given all of the other completely valid things about her we could be mocking)

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

That's what I keep saying, with little success.

5 months ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 5

It's not even working on this post. The kind of people who do that try to use any justification to pretend it doesn't count, like how people here are trying to it doesn't count since no one looks like him.

As if things like small hands, balding, overweight, spray tan vanity etc are unique to him.
Some people just want acceptable targets.

Here's someone mocking a bad man who incidentally has the same physical condition as Andre the giant.

5 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Not to say, OP never said anything about Trump. People just assumed for some reason, or deflected.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's a line. With the whole "Man vs Bear in the woods" thing, you really have to step back and realize "This isn't about me, so, THIS isn't about ME." It sucks sometimes, but it's worth it when Musk and Trump get all butthurt over their small hands and weird trenchcoats, because for some fucked up reason, they aren't ashamed at being pedophiles, but "bad combover" makes them seethe

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's something messed up about using "Man Vs Bear" as an excuse to justify insulting people for physical insecurities.

It's like using systemic misogyny as an excuse to tell people they can't get upset at someone using racist slurs.

Regardless of the reason, why is hurting them so important to you you're willing to hurt those around you to do so?

Isn't that literally the mentality that got us into this mess?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Without trying to reveal too much, that's kinda why I hate small penis insults.

5 months ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 3

I have body image issues, just about every negative thing you could think about your body I apply to myself. So it’s hard not to take any kind of body shaming personally. People wanna hit people they hate with something they know they’re sensitive about but they end up hitting a category rather than an individual

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

small penis insults relating to physical size of a penis are one thing, small penis insults relating to aggressive overcompensation for toxic insecurities are another.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't be so worried about your shlong. Or shmedium or sshort

5 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

well I for one love your small hammer, rock on my dude!

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have a Medium Penis. It can talk to ghosts.

5 months ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Is it a small medium at large?

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You're thinking of that midget who claimed to talk to ghosts that broke out of prison.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Were the ghosts serving an afterlife sentence?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, I hate those because they're pointlessly gendered shaming about something that the target has absolutely no control over - but the same people who'll sling those comments will simultaneously mock the same victims about the same insecurities they're creating.

If you're going to complain about society being driven into the ground by feelings of inadequacy, you're not helping things by contributing to that social pressure. Same thing with "short man syndrome" comments about height.

5 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

As a short guy with a just average Weiner I concur

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I guess there is not much to reveal?

5 months ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 5

That was mean.

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I set myself up for it. No worries.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It was also a low-hanging fruit, much unlike the guy's penis i guess.

5 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

That's also being an ass. The OP is right there, you are failing an open book test.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Be kind to people, it's not that hard, unlike your boner for joking about other peoples insecurities.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I self-incriminated. Any jokes are fair game after that, it's cool.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oh I think I just found another one... Ahem... of the good and considerate folk here on Imgur.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Don't be an ass to people.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah. Sorry about that. Comedy is a fickle mistress.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

No good person wears orange face paint

5 months ago | Likes 254 Dislikes 17

Yeah; Trudeau wore Indian Skin face paint instead

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 18

There is a VERY disappointed Lorax cosplayer somewhere out there.

5 months ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

Idk if I'd call myself a good person but when I started transitioning I had no idea how to do makeup. But my facial hair made me feel so dysphoric I did it anyway, and I tended to use more orange/red shades to color correct for the darker blue/black shadow. I always used to worry that I looked like Trump, but it was better than showing my thick ass facial hair. I have since had laser hair removal and don't have to use color correction quite so thick.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But there are lots of very nice people with spasmodic dysphonia, so let's not get stuck on how RFK Jr sounds, but how horrible his actual message is.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exhibit A:

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ehhh... I dunno. I think in the Big Cheeto it's definitely a symbol of vanity. I also think in most folk that have it, it's a sign of insecurity. Which isn't a moral failing in and of itself.

It's just that the most prominent people we see with orangeface are rich insectoids like TFG.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eh I'll take the backlash on this one; There was a girl with BDD at my highschool, that fake tanned as hard/badly as Trump. She wasn't a bad person from what I saw, generous even a few times. For how shitty a person Trump is, the tan is just a symptom of insecurity, not a cause of the shittiness and we can be better people.

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

oompa loompa erasure

5 months ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 1

I guess Wonka keeping them busy in the factory is actually his attempt to protect humanity without committing genocide. Just one of the little bastards got free and swelled into a bloated monstrosity.

Are they maybe like mogwai? There are rules to follow or they turn into vicious, horrible little gremlins? Maybe that's why they're locked away and forced to sing.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They’re brown in the book so thats a whole different kind of erasure

5 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Let people have their little vanities without treating it as a judge of character. If they think they look better like that, let them.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

if the ganguro could read that they'd be very disappointed

5 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Trump being a rebellious, vindictive, Japanese schoolgirl isn't a thought I was prepared for today.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That’s why the orange paint is a fair target.

So are the botox/ filler faces.

Those were choices not something they can help.

5 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

Can’t help*

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

that still may be a good persons taste in how they may want to get their look.. regardless of how you (or I) may think it looks on them...

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's not fake tan - I see mockery for being fat, pale, small penis, receding hairline...

aim for their character instead

5 months ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

They can't do that, that would require research and effort. It's just a desire to be a bully while feeling righteous and justified.

5 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 17

The only ones who need research to know trumps obvious character flaws are Maga cultists, for everyone else they are blindingly obvious

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, go for it all. The problem with aiming just for his character is that the traits normal people see as horrific, he sees as positive. His character flaws are well known and documented, from long before he was president. 34 felony counts of fraud? Smart. Creepy obsession with young girls? Fine. Sex offender? Oh well. Unfaithful? meh. Con man? What are you gonna do. Makes fun of people, like a reporter with a physical disability? haha Tells more lies than truths? Fake news. etc etc etc etc...

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

wow, didn't know there were Trump supporters here... unless people lack the basic understanding of sarcasm.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, shitty people deserve mockery. Not everyone is a master of insults like Oscar Wilde.

5 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 25

Exactly. All this is, is providing unintended cover for assholes who've EARNED and DESERVE to be mocked and treated like shit. They DESERVE to feel bad. All this is, is throwing random, uninvolved people into the line of fire, and telling us "stop shooting them! what kind of MONSTER are you?!", as if it's OUR fault somebody got dragged into the conversation.

Y'know who takes the hit when you say "fuck you donnie, you fat orange nutsack!"? Fucking donnie, thats who!

This is so stupidly childish

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 18

Making you aware that your actions might be hurtful to someone isn't "throwing them into your line of fire," any more than warning you that you're about to hit a deer is throwing it in front of your car. You were made aware of something. If that awareness makes you unhappy, you can factor that into your future actions, or not.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Shut up dumbfuck.

See? It's not hard to mock someone without mocking their appearance. Now, seriously, shut up dumbfuck, your dumb fucking opinion is un-fucking-welcome.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

The sentiment OP is providing, though, is that calling him orange pedo in chief is fine, whatever, but then some teen who overused the spray tan solution and is now orange will be made to feel even worse for the comparison to trump, or some dude who uses a toupee will be made more self conscious if theirs is as obvious as his when we all rag on it. It's not meant to shame you, just meant to encourage you to be more creative and specific.

5 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

Not just about Trump but in general. People here keep throwing insults like "tiny dick" or mocking people's faces.

5 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Mock them for being shitty. If you mock them for their appearance, you're mocking everyone with that appearance.

5 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

Dumb ass take. I'm gonna keep calling the orange fat fucker a fat fucker.

People who can't understand that context makes the insult deserve the collateral.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 13

Kind ass take but you're too much of a cunt. See, zero about how hideous you are on the outside, just the inside, very simple stuff.

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

You sound like a fat fucker!

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

Just leave the work of insulting people to folks who can think of more than one. They'll take care of it.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ha nope nice try cunt.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

So mock the person, not what they look like. If a black person is shitty do you mock the colour of their skin?

5 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

The problem is that they no longer care about their character. They will lie, cheat, steal, and bribe right out in the open now. When you call them hypocrites, they smile because it shows they are getting what they want, and all you can do is insult something they dont care about. You are taking the only insults that will work against them out of the equation.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It becomes a bit moot which ones work when they'll never see or hear your words anyway.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the exact comparison I use when people insult peoples' weight when heavier people are being shitty. Insult the person or their actions, not the physical stuff that has nothing to do with it.

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they've got something to do with their weight. I say this as a fat person.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

They did not say what you think they said. Kindly reread their comment.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No I read it exactly how they intended. As a fat person I will happily mock and ridicule another fat person as a stupid fat fuck if they are, in fact, being a stupid fat fuck.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2
