I have no idea who this person is. But my wife watches these reality shows all the time. To me it's like Kryptonite to Superman. Not saying that I'm Superman. You get the point.
It is important to shut down pampered people when they try to pretend they "achieved" all by themselves (nobody does ever) or grew up poor. The peace of mind with a wealthy background in the face of possible failure, whatever you do professionally cannot be underestimated.
Not to forget that a wealthy upbringing literally makes you blind to the actual reality of poverty. You cannot genuinely fear what you have not experienced.
David Beckham and Posh Spice, I think? I seem to remember something about him having supposed to have left, and come back for keys or something. If I recall, the interviewer was happy to have no distractions, but struck gold because he happened to be there unexpectedly.
Their son Brooklyn has very publicly cut them off saying that he is just disgusted that his own mother would do this in front of his brand new wife IN THEIR FIRST DANCE!! and the family response was “you need to allow your kids to make mistakes”.
Bill Gates. Steve Jobs. Elongated Musrat. Bezos. Trump. Soros. Bloomberg. Et al. Every single one started out on third base, or worse, home plate. Tax the fucking rich, or eat them. But while they live society suffers.
If you're paid by the HOUR, you're working class. If you make a yearly salary, you charge in 15-minute increments, or you tally your "billable hours", you are not.
Actually, I need to correct that. It seems that a lot of real jobs (hospitality, delivery, sex workers, healthcare, customer service, etc.) account their time in 15-minute intervals, so feel free to ignore that part.
I don't think it was an unfair question. People mean different things when they say that. Like "Writer." Some people will say that you're just playing with words until you got paid for something you wrote. (Which I personally disagree with.)
If you work for a living you’re working class. It’s not complicated. FElon doesn’t work for a living he was born wealthy, its a false equivalency. I didn’t say ultra rich people with jobs are working class. The surgeon who makes $400k a year and is paying off student loans and a mortgage is working class. The retired surgeon who invested the high income and can retire off the income is no longer working class. The surgeon who spends it on a rolls stays poor

David Beckham really does sound like he mouth-sexed a can of helium.
huffnpuff72
Even if she did come from working class, she most certainly has not been anywhere near working class for a very long time now.

So true, people can not genuinely fear death because they have not expereinced it.....

She was so working class the garage of her childhood home had a clocktower.
scissorxmextimbers
Just the one tower? The might as well been living on the streets
TheNextHafthorBjornsson
You know that looks exactly like all of my houses (I own precisely zero houses)

And a bloody name plate.

My mind read that as "old school" house instead of old "school house" and I was so confused.

What is this?

The guy is David Beckham, who's a football player, She's Posh Spice from the Spice Girls girl band.
It was a documentary about his life and career.

This one is perfect.

I had very little positive to say about David Beckham until he did this.
His wife grinding on her own son at his wedding reception during the first dance tells you all you need to know about her.
DdCno1
Can't wait for her to appear in the Epstein files.
TungstenOrbital
Ayo what the FUCK??

Yikes... she really did that? That's just... disgusting. Did she do it in front of David? How'd he react?

Can I ask some questions? Do you mean Gloria Beckham or David’s mom? Where did you see this?

Victoria Beckham in Jan. There are so many news articles in the UK press. Here’s a couple:

Especially since his parent's actually were working class.
IDontWannaWorkForMaggiesPaNoMore
Yeah he didn’t come from any kind of money if I remember correctly, so I think her comment really jarred him and he needed it corrected.
Someshithead241
His dad was a kitchen fitter and his mum was a hairdresser. About as working class as you can get.

I didn't see this until years after the meme became famous. In no way could it have prepared me for how great this video is.

How long ago was this video made? They look quite young here.
AlmostClever
It's at least two years old, believe it's from a Netflix series about her clothing line.
DutchBoeremeisie
The show *BECKHAM* premiered 4 October 2023, the meme became popular a few days ago. According to: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/david-beckhams-be-honest-thank-you
I thought it was a lot older than that.

Fuck off, no it doesn't. Elon Musk is never going to give you money no matter how much you slobber over the footsteps of the oligarchy.
ByThePowerOfSCIENCE
that's the etymological fallacy right there
"awesome" no longer means "inspiring intense fear", and doctors don't necessarily teach anymore

Do you mean "if you really, actually work in a way that burdens you to make ends meet," or "have a job?"
Because Elon Musk 'works.' Are we calling him working class?

I said work for a living. My mum drove a Mercedes and worked for a living. She’s poor now
