They are buying back the area the Biden Admin sold them for the wind farm and want the company to invest in fossil fuels in the US, nobody is going to do that, they will sit on their billion dollars for a couple of years while the make "plans," then when Trump is gone they will build a wind farm just like they always planned to do. If you are a company that builds wind farms you simply don't have the expertise to do fossil fuels, it wold costly and pointless.

Green energy doesn't replace fossil energy. Green energy supplements fossil energy so you have more energy on the grid which drives energy prices down which is bad for big oil. Big oil wants a monopoly on energy so they sell the lie that green energy is replacing fossil energy with something more expensive.

The same goes for traditional energy companies.
There ist still plenty use for oil in chemical industry, but they diversofy their investment for energy production.
