If they're roaming the streets and hitting protests to tell the world this, they've probably already been turned down by adoption agencies, which is another red flag entirely

That’s another reason why evangelicals are against abortion. Majority of adoption centers and foster homes are run by churches. So is and easy way for them to funnel more children into their church as well as to get tax benefits since they run that as nonprofit.

Holding a sign like this should put you on a watchlist.

wasnt there a video of guy going to them with adoption papers to fill them, and they very quickly backed out

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, sure, put even more babies into the already overloaded foster care system. What could possibly go wrong?

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Bet every single one holding those signs is also against same sex couples adopting

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Which is particularly stupid because there’s a scientific theory that homosexuality occurs naturally so that homosexual couples CAN adopt unwanted kids. We’ve already seen proof of this in penguins and dolphins

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some journalist should go interview them, question and track them through the adoption process and if even if they aren't being sincere, that would still be a story.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

ah yes, make a publicity stunt out of a young child, there's no way that will go wrong

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Psst…they don’t want brown babies. They’re racists and hypocrites

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

or babies with potential health issues

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They want a "fresh" one, not one that could bring a load of baggage with them and cause problems. Problem is the longer the kid stays in the system, the worse the baggage gets. It's no wonder so many of them end up with a strong sense of not belonging along with depression. You can't do that to a kid and expect them to be well adjusted.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To quote George Carlin, "Conservatives want live babies so they can train them to be dead soldiers."

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Or to fuck them.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

These days, yeah.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would like to see a long list of ex-pro-lifers that either reluctantly had an abortion or gratefully had one. I wonder how many there are.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

So many “pro-lifers” make their mistresses and daughters get abortions for unwanted pregnancies, you have no idea

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, there's plenty, but they won't tell you. My best friend's aunt is a staunch "pro-life" republican. She's also had two abortions.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

You can't really expect anything else than hypocrisy from people who think there's an almighty benevolent god who just has to let people suffer and die "for reasons".

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Sure I can, some of em are so damned stupid they can't even reach hypocrisy.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is there a story of any of these couples following through and actually doing it? Or is it just ‘virtue’ signalling?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

religious people are the problem. period... by an overwhelming amount the bad done by religion outweighs the good

2 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 8

An all too accurate assessment, they've spent thousands of years gaslighting us with claims of moral righteousness while being terrible

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

If the good did outweigh the bad, and this was demonstrated true, they might actually have some evidence towards their value. But the platters always come full of hate with a side of love to take the edge off. At best, they are no better than any other group of humans morally.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Talk is cheap. Cardboard and markers apparently too.

2 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 3

Didn't one of those couples get tracked down and said like "oh no we didn't actually mean it"?

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

You mean all of them?

2 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Well there was that couple with the child rape dungeon. They meant it.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

The very COST OF ADOPTION is in and of itself a travesty. I know it's not the point of this post but not enough is being done about this problem. There are so many baren or gay couples who would...if they could afford the up-front price tag.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

A couple I knew spent over six figures for adoptions from China and the 2nd one got canceled for some reason. Infertility treatments are similarly expensive depending on the method.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

News Flash: They pay couples to foster. Not enough is being done about adopting kids that aren't babies.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She doesn't what to put her body through a pregnancy wants to coerce a vulnerable woman into giving up her newborn

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 3

I'm not going to judge people who are actually going to adopt for their preferences

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

But you should. Like the couples pictured do. You should judge especially judge them for their hypocrisy.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Why should I judge them? People are allowed to prefer the race and hair color and eye color and religion of who they date, why should I care that someone is adopting a baby which looks like them?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Does their sign say "only women pregnant with blonde haired blue eyed babies" can't have an abortion? No, they are forcing all women to carry pregnancies to term, solely because of their personsl beliefs, while ignoring the needs and rights of the woman, and not doing anything for the babies and mothers they deem unacceptable. That is hypocrisy.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How are people holding a sign "forcing" anyone to do anything? You are ascribing to people in a meme all that you and many others, myself included, don't like about race and religion.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Performative bullshit. "We're such Good Christians!" GTFOH.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I look at what their youth pastors and priests do to children and I highly suspect those signs suggest something horrifying.

2 years ago | Likes 251 Dislikes 15

They want a slave, and they will absolutely abuse any child they get ahold of, and they will say it is part of their religion. These are not and never were good people.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or that there's a real good reason they cant adopt from the foster system

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

A stifling, shame-driven Evangelical upbringing at the very least.

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

They fail the vetting process and have to resort to trying to get one directly via signs they hold at random places

2 years ago | Likes 188 Dislikes 3

I worked with a foster kid whose parents adopted him from a Russian orphanage. His case was wild.

2 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

Not that any of this is relevant to the post or the comment you replied to but if the child was adopted from Russia then he was never a "foster kid" unless his adoptive parents lost or released him to the foster system at some point.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

So many kids get adopted overseas then abandoned after a few years with their "families" because even though the vetting process is monsterously hard here in the US its for this reason that kids arnt given to people who are going to just give them up.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think that’s exactly what they meant: his parents adopted him from Russia and then proceeded to demonstrate exactly why they were denied an adoption in the US system.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

This makes me sad.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

@Taxicat is correct. International adoption to two parents who should not have been allowed to.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

those 400k babies are already preowner babies. they want fresh out of the womb, with the vagina graese on babies. Fresh from the factory. Touched only by the, chosen by them, doctors.

2 years ago | Likes 342 Dislikes 7

vagina greese? *spit take* now wait a minute. that makes sense. thinking of the lube job jokes and all that. squeaky clitoris too

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Flesh from the factory.

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

... vagina grease? I love LNI as much as the next person but I hate that you made me read that with both of my eyes. +1, as is custom.

2 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 2

Because it's so much easier to indoctrinate a child when you can start from scratch. Some of those preowner kids might have weird ideas about compassion, kindness, and other traits that are horrifying to christofascists.

2 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

It's well known that babies lose about 30% of their value as soon as you drive them off the lot, and some model years are defective.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Is there a problem with wanting one new right out of the package?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Apparently for Imgurians there is, you're not allowed to have preferences for a child you're willingly adopt and raising for at least the next 18 years old because apparently otherwise you're a racist. Average Imgurian couldn't take care of a pet cat and would certainly be barred from adopting a baby into their mom's basement, but that won't stop them from judging random people and assuming they are being disingenuous with their signs.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But those 400,000 aren't the baby they want.

They aren't babies and or white

2 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 5

People want to make it about race, but a lot really do want a 'fresh' baby they can raise from a start, indoctrinate. Not a kid with a personality that might disobey

2 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 6

The two are very different. Many people find it harder to imagine bonding with an older child, or that they can't shape in their own image from the start. It doesn't have to be a cynical thing about indoctrination. In the UK, you get paid to be a Foster. If I couldn't have kids I think I'd probably still want a baby. They're awesome. And no, I'm not even slightly religious.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Indoctrination is more than just religious

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And not all patenting is indoctrination. Some people actually teach their children to ask questions but trust science and professionals.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While your point is Also true, it is very explicitly noted that white babies are adopted out at a Much higher rate than other races and for profit adoption agencies even charge more money for them.

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Oh I have no doubt about that. But what I mean is its not *exclusively* about race.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Something about for profit adoption agency doesn't sit right with me.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Everything about it doesn’t sit right with me.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah they are Literally human trafficking, selling children to people, even if they frame it otherwise and claim altruistic purposes.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I wonder how many of those for profit agencies are also religion-based

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The fetus is half black, half hispanic. We're gay jews..still gonna adopt?

2 years ago | Likes 854 Dislikes 11

Depends.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Dude, they won't even adopt them if they're all white. There are plenty of all kinds of different races of kids waiting, hoping to be adopted. The point is they're lying though their teeth, and the evidence is that there are already kids that need adoptive parents and these lying chucklefucks are adopting jack shit.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I dunno what’s his 40 time?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is it from?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My shitty take on this is to legalise abortion for ugly babies - that way the racists that just might want beautiful, zero-defect, white babies don't have to pretend they will adopt and everyone that wants an abortion can get one...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 62

"Abortion for ugly babies" Well I've never seen a baby that wasn't ugly at least some of the time, so that sounds like an open ban.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Ok, so now the downvotes make sense - I didn't make it clear that abortion was an option rather than mandatory. The intention was to allow abortion because the baby would be "too ugly" to be adopted by the sign carriers as a way of addressing their empty concerns

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 15

This sounds an awful lot like that post-birth abortion DeShitStains was lying about.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

My (shitty) plan would be a tick box on the abortion form that the baby would be ugly. I'm not suggesting waiting for the birth.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

Or just legalize all abortion, so that we have our basic human rights. These nutjobs don't really want to adopt, they just want to convince us it's ok to have a right taken away.

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

But isn't that the desired situation versus the actual situation in places where we see these protests? How does this change the minds of the "nutjobs"?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 19

No, the desired situation is we have all our rights. As for changing their minds, it's impossible. We just have to outvote them. Most people don't vote, but we need everyone to vote, that's how we beat them!

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So we agree on the desired outcome but have different approaches to those that do not agree with the approach - treating opponents views as impossible to change has resulted in the current standoff, my shitty take is to undermine the basis of their position

It was from the last movie, haven't seen it myself, but from the comments when I stole this gif it was apparently because the baby was a halfbreed of wolfboy and vampgirl, so it's an abomination, as if they're not already all monsters.
