The order of importance can vary according to each person's personal preferences. If you're not one of those things, chances are you aren't "attractive" by most people's standards. It's a rather unfair system for most of us.
Learning an instrument is the easiest way forward. There is a bazillion videos on approach. There are so many used instruments out there too. It is also a great way to make friends that will help you become more attractive.
If you have the drive to slog through dozens if not hundreds of hours of failed attempts, sure. I don't, unfortunately. I can't bring myself to invest time and effort unless the process itself is fun and fulfilling without regard for the result.
