Cut it into slices, dust it with chili powder, and dip it into a creamy cilantro garlic dressing.

That tomato must have been steaming hot before being deep fried

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't mind me as I cry here in disappointment.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love tomatoes. This looks great.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh I love tomatoes, give me that thang!

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

Just let me rawdog that tomato. If we're adding dough to the mix, then crush that bad boy up and cover it in cheese because thats a pizza.

Fried tomatoes are good, not sure about a whole one.

I don't know who first decided to put half a grilled tomato onto a full English breakfast but it's the one item that just doesn't belong. nasty

Yea, the consistency of a fried morel mushroom with a bit of tartness.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

bacon and fried tomato sandwiches. with the tomato fried in the bacon fat rendered out as you fried the bacon.

Wait, now I have to go out and get a beefsteak tomato for lunch tomorrow.

v
I don’t think I’ve ever been aroused by a food comment
that sounds so amazing
I must make these

Beefsteak tomato, cut it nice and thick, almost half and inch. crispy bacon in there, 3 or 4 slices. toast the bread to give it a chance to hold all the juice.

Fried green tomatoes.

Fried green tomato eggs benedict with a side of grits and thick cut bacon

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fried anything is good. ;)

It's like A1. Put A1 on a boot and "hmmm, that's good boot!" Deep fry a sock? "That's good sock!"

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ngl, I would try a deep fried sock, but like, from a celebrity, like Taylor Swift.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Justin Bieber too. I grew up in his era.

Finally a reaction video you can laugh at. Besides those ones where they were watching Two Girls One Cup.

That shit was hilarious

No.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Need cream cheese and salt and this would probably be awesome!

1 year ago | Likes 185 Dislikes 2

Little balsamic glaze drizzle maybe?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The sausage has plenty of salt. Some fresh pepper and I am in heaven.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dip it in some mozzarella sauce :D

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, core the tomato and fill it with some tasty cheese (not that processed shit)

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is one of those tasteless grocery store tomatoes.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why I said salt.

Also, we can't all have the good shit.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

depends, is the cream cheese also deep fried?

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yes. You'd have to inject it into the tomato. Or cut the tomato, slather in cream cheese, then pop it back together and bread, before deep frying. But I'm pretty sure I could pull that off and I'd be awesome!

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

OR…hear me out…deep fry a ball of cream cheese, cut a pocket into the tomato and stuff the cheese ball in, then batter and fry that epicurean abomination.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That... would also be freaking awesome!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

hmmmm. i think... i think i will try this. give me to time get home and ill post the result

/gallery/fried-tomato-science-bEeR5BF Its ok. Kinda taste like nothing. Not the worst way to eat a tomato.

1 year ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

Perhaps if the tomato were filled with mozzarella.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yea, tomatoes are mostly water, not a super great option for frying (OPs video looks fake too) I think though if you did it in a similar way to a stuff pepper/jalapeño popper maybe you could make something serviceable, but at that point, pepper would be better.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Upvotes for delivering, but side, I coulda told you that beforehand. Warm tomatoes are tasteless. I do not understand why people eat them like that.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I suspect like many tomato-based foods, it may also depend on the quality of the tomato. (I eat a lot of tomato sandwiches and the delta between 'meh' and 'best sandwich I've ever had' is WIDE and 100% based on the tomato.)

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Delivered like a legend!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Props for following through, but also... What is the worst way you've eaten a tomato?

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Sun dried.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Sun dried is good if you put it in stuff. Cook up a couple chicken breasts then add in sun dried tomatoes and spinach and a cream based sauce. Cook it until the spinach is wilt. Season to taste. *chef’s kiss*

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sun dried tomatoes are an ingredient, yeah. It's like tomato paste- are you just eating that from the tube? Uh, hopefully not. But it's still a nice thing to have for adding richness to food. Sun dried tomatoes still have some degree of structure, which isn't always what you want, but it has a place.
