I have one cat and that's enough. Tried to have some smexy time with husband at the shower. Our cat came in and pushed out the hugest turd ever in his litterbox. How can things get so dry at place that wet?
Since this was cats instead of the usual "bunch of dogs" video, I was expecting the subversion of doing all that work to set up this area, then all the cats come in, and then just fuck off cuz they're cats
Theres more from people about how "9 cats is too many" than I see on the movie night with my 9 dogs videos, I don't understand the bias against cats, mostly about the smell from their bathroom habits, all that tells me is you let your dogs poop in the yard and don't clean it...
I was just about to comment that I can smell this home through the screen. Worked at a vet for a bit and have an aunt that liked her cats (never more than 3 at a time, though).
I do rescue and have 16 cats. We just scoop the litter several times a day. We have a little kiddy pool out on the lanai for the cats who live in the family room/lanai. We use plastic storage bins for litter for the other kitties.
The carnage, the hair, the barfing, having to clean the litter box for all of them, the constant attention seeking at any given time of the day... One cat is fine. 2-3 are also OK. But 9? You either need a really big house for that (with almost nothing to break for them) or have them outside. I'd go nuts with so many.
I like cats, but i don't like owning a cat. Its illegal to have free-roaming cats in Australia, so i just don't have cats. The inside mess is just too much. I have dogs instead.
Litter Robot, auto scoops a few moments after they use the box, and each one can accommodate 4 cats. We adopted 3 sisters found in my guys parents' garden and have no smell in our place.
Amazing. Got ours for Xmas last year. It's easy until the laser does weird sensing. Our cat was adopted from a house where she had to share and now she's got her very own. The most expensive gift was to her
A guy in my grade-school had 87(!!!) Cats, all living inside the house, and no, not a single one went outside. We just called him "cat-piss-dude" seeing he smelled like he had been swimming in cat-piss concentrate during, and even way before for his existence. He smelled 10 times worse than what you possibly can imagine.
Yeah absolutely, this was all on his dad. I felt so bad for that kid. He eventually quit school one day so I assume the family situation and the cats had something to do with it.
I know a guy who has gone through 4 cats in a year because they kept dying. One got hit by a car, one got got by a coyote and I can't remember what happened to the third - either illness or just never came back (coyote). Finally now he won't let his 4th cat go outside no matter how much it wants to.
Yeah i can't say I pity the idiot nor agree with him having any cat ever again. How do people take on such an important responsibility and not do any research? Bloody moron, poor cats.
Our neighbors used to sound like you. We were "cruel" for keeping our cat indoors/in an outdoor enclosure. Then a few folks around the neighborhood got to go scrape their pets out of the pavement on the main road and now suddenly everyone's got indoor cats. Our cat's not getting eaten by a coyote or hit by a car inside
Yeah I was gonna say - maybe as a foster situation (and 5-6 litter boxes) or a professional cat rescue, but that's too much for a permanent situation. Unless they're wealthy and can afford things like extra rooms and a dedicated cat-cleaning service... I think the maximum I could ever have is 4 (currently have 2).
I have a cat-sitter but they come to the cats' house, so even though they have to clean a lot of litterboxes over the day, they're all located in separate homes.
This so much. Clean the pans, sweep and vacuum the floor regularly and it really keeps the smell minimal to nonexistent. As someone else with 6 cats. Plus clean floors are great and feel better for human feet too and if you do it all the time doesn't take long at all.
Yeah, whenever someone complains about cat smell I just hear someone complaining because someone (usually them) don't fucking clean. Cats DO smell, if you don't clean your home you nasty bastard.
Some people will say 'who has time for that?' which, is actually an okay answer, because if you don't have time for it, then you don't have time for cats. That's an answer, but don't assume everyone with a cat stinks because you don't have time. :P

Light furniture and light cats. Rest assured, the house is still structured with cat hair.

Never heard of... googled it and yeah - that looks like an awesome tool to have.. good tip.

Best investment I ever made. Don't buy the cheaper automatic litter machines as they have had safety issues and just don't work as well in general.

Poor kid. If he was in grade school, I doubt he had any control over that situation. Sounds like an unsafe environment to raise kids
