Critical Role: An epic fantasy experience for all

Critical Role is a weekly Dungeons and Dragons stream that shows off the very best of the tabletop roleplaying community. Hosted by GM Matthew Mercer, a group of “nerdy ass voice actors” comes together to weave heroic tales of friendship, adventure, and the simple power of make believe.

Every member of the show is a professional voice actor - and their experience shows. The cast truly brings their characters to life; each one witty but poignant, heroic but flawed, and each deeply, deeply entertaining.

What began as the humble pastime of a couple “nerdy ass voice actors” quickly grew into an international community. Complete with catch phrases and inside jokes, Critical Role has reached thousands of fans and raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities. It has spun off in amazing fan art, comic books, roleplaying game supplements, and--I’d wager--countless other tabletop groups.

Though the group itself began playing together two years prior, Critical Role aired in March 2015 and ran until October 2017. The show totaled 115 episodes and over 400 hours of air time. Now, the first arc of Critical Role has finished, but another is just beginning.

Next Thursday, January 11th at 7:00 PST, the world of Critical Role will return. Launching into their second campaign, the original cast is back with all new characters, an all new story, and all new fun.
