I remember opening a valve box that was chalk-a-block full of widows while I was working irrigation years back. When I expressed concern about reaching in to shut off the valve and left to get a wrench my boss called me a pussy.
Apparently not as scary as I've been told my whole life? I got freaked out when I found one in my grandma's basement bathroom but my son's friend who was living there and using that bathroom said to let her be, they're shy and a bite is not a death sentence (or anything close). I dunno, I still gave it wide berth.
Their venom is compatible to a rattle snake but yes they r shy and they can choose to do a "dry" bite to scare you since venom is expensive metaboliclly to make.

I don't know, but I'm more concerned about the fact that your hand appears to have been cut off at the wrist and pinky!
Kotarisu
Either a terrible meat slicer accident or a terrible photoshop cut/paste?
HeyOP
that's a peanut m&m
apairofpetducks
Nah, a peanut butter one more likely. The peanut ones are weird shaped, because of the peanut.
Thanatous
Black widow. Female. See the red hourglass on its underside. Very venomous.
