Hallgrimskirkja is lovely - we went to Reykjavik for our honeymoon and stayed in a hotel right opposite, so we got to see it every day.

Outside of Reykjavik, there is very little traffic and the ring road is easy to navigate.

not bad actually, the roads are generally cleared in and around reykjavik though they are quite bad sometimes when you go out the way.

The big ring is a beautiful drive, but have at least 14 days. We have so many tourists that are stressing about bc no time for anything.

My wife and I did just that in a 2 wk time period. I recommend driving into the Westfjords as well.
