I'm excited!

I've been seriously under weight most of my life which took its toll on my self esteem. I lost all my hardly earned baby weight (17kg) in less than a year after I gave birth. This is because of a fast metabolism along with lack of appetite I've dealt with all my life.

I pushed myself a little more each day and have been going steady with regular meals, increasing how much I eat and their frequency.

I can feel my clothes just a bit tighter than usual which is a pretty big deal for me.

Don't be fooled, gaining weight is just as hard as losing it. It takes time, patience and perseverance. Yay for little victories!

I've been "underweight" my whole life too, currently 109lbs at 5'2" 18 wks pregnant, my heaviest weight so far in my life at 26..so yeah..

Congrats! I hope I can do it as well. I'm currently at 99lbs. My goal is at least 120lbs.

I forget to eat, never hungry until I'm about to pass out cause of stomach problems. I have a really slow metabolism but can't gain weight..

Trying to get healthy too and lose weight. I don't eat enough and am obese. Eating enough is hard to do when it feels like a lot.

Go easy on carbs. Some people will tell you they're "best diet" but my family ballooned up when they were a major part of our diet.

I hate being called skinny. Why isn't it as bad as calling someone fat?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP keep going. You are beautiful.

The difference between a fast metabolism and a slow metabolism is about 300 calories.

Bacon is your friend here. It is my best friend but I am willing to share.

I feel you dude! I have a fast metabolism and I literally just hate most food, it's hard to get more than one substantial meal a day bc 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I literally have no appetite and nothing sounds good. It's a struggle, everyone tells me I look way too skinny (2/2)

Get yourself a happy, healthy long term relationship. You'll start packing on the pounds

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish I had your problem. Good luck!

I've been massively underweight before as well. I had to basically force myself to keep to a proper meal schedule to gain weight. Good on ya

(For those curious I am 5'11" and weighed about 96 pounds 5 years ago.

156 now. Trying to make sure I gain any additional weight as muscle instead of fat.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yay!! Congrats!! I'm up 15lbs and healthier than ever. It was hard. So many factors, but I consciously ate better and moved. That's all.

My GF has this after she moved away from her family and didn't have adequate protein intake. She started working out (pole, actually)...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...she's healthier now and happier since she has a hobby.

Hooray!!!! Congratulations :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Congratulations!! You keep at it. :) I have been waffling with trying to get myself to a healthy weight, so if you have any tips, pm me.

Protein, so much protein. Pair it with weight training. Then eat more protein. Enough healthy fats. Then more protein.Did I mention protein?

Gaining weight is harder than, not as hard as, losing weight. Do absolutely nothing and you will lose weight. (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Actually if you do absolutely nothing you will die of starvation.

Gaining weight requires a lot of time & money dedicated to food, as well as being relatively sedentary in a world with tons of things to do.

I knew a girl who had pretty serious anorexia, at one point she weighed only 28 kg's, but she beat it, and you will too

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I don't think she's....nevermind

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If we want to give them the benefit of the doubt, anorexia extends to other "low appetite" circumstances, not just anorexia nervosa.

I feel ya. Before I had kids I was 80 lbs & couldn't gain weight. I was often accused of having an eating disorder or being a drug addict.

I be a dude at 121lbs. Not fun. I eat stupid loads but neh bodies like, poop it all out don't need it. I am very ashamed at how i look.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Growing up I had a real complex with my weight. I hated myself and felt guilty bc everyone told me there was something wrong with me.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Same here :/ so many conversations with ppl who were worried about my eating disorder that I didn't have. Made me have major body shame.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yea same :( it sucks

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm doing great now! But it took way more than just "eating more" or fixing my diet. Had to make real changes to my life.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I used to have that problem but I found the cure!

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

You'll be shocked by the answer!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Haaaaaaa i wish. Drank at least 6 beers a night after my dad died, for more than a year. Really doesn't work for me :(

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm 34yo male, 5 7" and weigh about 125, I eat like a horse but can't keep it on so I feel happy for you! Keep it up!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm 6 3" and used to weigh 140, but I have been eating as much as possible of healthy food for a month along with 40-50 push-ups a day I 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Now weigh 165! You can do it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wow good effort! I think the quality of my food is where i let myself down. I exercise a lot (kick boxing and ju jitsu mostly)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you ever actually tracked your caloric intake and macros? You might overestimate what you eat without actual data. 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went from about 155 to 185 with massive eating and picking up and putting down heavy things. Couldn't maintain but I'm about 170 now.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've tried, i think it's the food i eat that's the problem. I find eating healthy quite difficult as fresh food seems to go off b4 i eat it!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also i'm useless at comitting to it - guess i only have myself to blame!
