Linda McMahon — WWE executive, failed Senate candidate, current Education Secretary — just announced the government is getting back into collecting student loan payments. The same government spending $2 billion a day on an unauthorized war needs money back from a 24 year old nurse. ???

"We had a whole system of people not repaying their loans." Yes. Because during COVID the government said DON'T REPAY THEM. Then Biden offered forgiveness. Then courts blocked it. Then Trump cancelled the department overseeing it. And NOW they want the money. FROM THE PEOPLE THEY CONFUSED ON PURPOSE. ???

Jo from Jerz just said it perfectly: We're spending $2 billion a day on an illegal war, requesting $200 billion more from Congress, and the solution to the budget crisis is going after the single working mom who missed a couple of loan payments. THE ARITHMETIC IS NOT COMPLICATED. THE INTENTION IS. ???

Linda McMahon ran the WWE. She knows a rigged match when she sees one. She is currently IN one. Against college graduates. While Tomahawk missiles at $2.2 million each rain on Iranian shorelines. The student loan collector has entered the chat. God help the borrowers. ????

Speaking of owing money, I wonder what that desiccated billionaire cunt McMahon's effective federal tax rate has been for the last ten tax filing years.

Don't forget all of the PPP "loans" to high-ranking MAGAts that were forgiven

Here's the solution.

Shoot her in the face.

The next yes man/woman trump puts in her now vacant position?

Don't forget the people who were never able to finish college for whatever reason.

How about clawing back all the subsidies given to the oil and gas and tech industries first

they went after the college loan program at the same time they started promoting the privatization of Social Security. Nobody thought they could do so much damage with college loans The Devo's family buys every kid a yacht for their 21st bday. just being sarcastic

Tomahawk missiles absoultly DO NOT follow "economy of scale" we're getting ripped off every day at every level and every sector.

DoE has been fucking around on this for a long time. I applied to get the last bit of my loans forgiven. I was told I had the wrong kind of loan. I didn't. I appealed and was told that my employer was not eligible. It is. They ran out the clock on me.

How about going after all those trump cronies who stole billions in PPE and Assistance loans during Covid... that might pay for Israel's war a little bit.

6 days ago | Likes 154 Dislikes 0

Why would they go after them? Both are the same people

5 days ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

#2 both lists are MUCH MUCH longer than that, and roght column should include all the grifting the Trump admin, friends and family have done.

*right. Sorry.

Isn't there a hole in the ground somewhere waiting for her?

Extract PPP from all congress members.

5 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Didn't wwe take a massive PPE loan and have it instantly forgiven? Fuck off Linda you seem to work exclusively for rapists.

6 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's okay. She's also (still) married to one.

There's no actual deficit: The loans are disbursed from an ANNUAL BUDGET, funded by taxpayers, just like how we spend on "defense." How about we make corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair fucking share.

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The amount owed to taxpayers is miniscule compared to the interest the loan companies collect.

It would have a different name at that store, like Heädsnåppen.

Republican logic : College educated young voters won't have time to vote if they're working 3 jobs to be able to repay loans.

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The pain is the point. How else can they make sure the point is made that "those people" don't deserve to have education and a chance at better jobs? "Those people" should have been happy with being slaves to whatever job their "betters" wanted to give them.

What a cunt of a person.

Pro Tip: Run a multibillion dollar fraud scheme. Put money in offshore account. When caught give Trump a million dollars. Get pardon. Collect billions.

‘Collecting money that is owed to the tax payers of the federal government’ - so, the tariffs you mean?

She's just pathetic.

Yeah we rock with Shane O'Mac.

I've been meaning to watch some interviews that suggest he's estranged from Vince, so here's hoping 🤞

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nah, I'm pretty sure he's got some skeletons in his closet.

5 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, almost definitely. You don't go on good terms with people like that for as long as he had without having some secrets yourself. I know it's harder when you're in the spotlight but plenty of people do it (off the top of my head, Angelina Jolie has, multiple times), so it's not impossible.

I can't be the only one thinking about a mass protest by not paying our taxes this year right?

5 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m just not going to repay my student loan. I haven’t been for the last ten years so if I can ride it out another forty I can just die with all that debt and I should be fine.

5 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

68,000 Americans die every year from lack of health care of denial of health care services by the insurance companies. Another 30,000 to 50,000 Americans file for bankruptcy every year because of excessive medical bills. Another 1,000,000 or more Americans every year face financial difficulties due to excessive medical bills.

I graduated in 2020. They keep ripping up all the promissory notes I've ever signed on the issue of repayment. Even now, they want me to transition from SAVE to another payment plan, but they haven't even created one of the options yet that one day will exist maybe. I'm not refusing to repay - I'm refusing to exhaust my options prematurely. I'm too old where the topic of forgiveness 25-30 years from now is not the factor it would be if I were 25.

#2 Using AI to protest this administration is like buying poster board from Walmart to protest their business practices.

6 days ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 5

As much as I hate Ai and Walmart that’s not the best choice of analogies. If protesting Walmart with a poster board that they made a few cents of profit from convinces someone not to shop there, they’ve lost much more than they gained from that one purchase.

6 days ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

My point is you do not protest something by throwing money at it, regardless of how little. All analogies are flawed and can be picked apart if you're pedantic enough.

5 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 13

About that... As long as they didn't use a paid model, the ai companies actually LOSE money every single time you use their ai. No, they technically shouldn't still be afloat ; they 100% should have gone bankrupt last year, but a profane economic circle jerk combined with bribes and selling user data is keeping them going despite collectively hemorrhaging billions.

So long as your protest costs them more than they make from you, it's a net win.
You are claiming that the only way to beat the system is to build an entirely separate system that in no way interacts with the bad one, even though that would be completely impossible.
Tearing down a building is always easier from inside the building.
