As a former wrestler, that is fucking delightful (and completely within the rules).

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Ref should've slid in for the count like WWE refs do.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, if it's against multiple schools, this is the best way to ensure you're still fresh.

Ref:

"IT'S THE ROCK PAPER SCISSORS HOLD. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!"

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Bet the coach didn't like it and made them run the bleacher stairs until they couldn't remember their names.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I love this everything

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ref’s built like she can take them both ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a former wrestler I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just wrestle. Same team or not. Wrestle.

Ever play Sega's Alex Kid? You basically have to win this game 7 times to progress to/past bosses.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. As it is called in Japan.

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

The "loser" has got some physical comedy chops. That fall was absolute gold.

4 years ago | Likes 1013 Dislikes 4

Not to mention whiplash and a concussion! He didn't even brace himself for that fall!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A-E-DUB!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Full commitment. Love it. Fantastic

4 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 1

They are on pads though.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Mats*

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You stilk have to suppress your reflexes. The mat makes it easier to do that, bit try that plank fall into a pool and see if you can hold it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fair point, he is good.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And...did he just spin himself back up using only his neck? Holy neck/back muscles

4 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

Iunno man. That leg kick reminded me of all those years I spent on the trampoline. JUST enough momentum to get yourself righted.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost kicked that guy, too

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Back roll look how he goes off center. So abs to generate momentum from the flat position then bam back to standing.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

He used his elbow too, but wrestlers train their necks a lot so you can arch to avoid pins. Part of that is getting up with ur head and feet

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Abs + momentum?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wrestlers are athletic and tough, those qualities must help a lot with a pratfall

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Padded floors probably more so.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That too

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like they're wearing the same uniform, so may be teammates. Original opponent may have backed out and these guys were just having fun.

4 years ago | Likes 609 Dislikes 4

Why are you trying to figure this out lol. Funny stuff and move on this isn't a time for Sherlock Holmes.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

They also save strength of they have to compete further

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, you can go against your own team in wrestling

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

IT's split up into weight categories which is why the horrible term "make your weight" exists. If theres not enough people in your bracket

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You go up a bracket, wrestling while fun is a very fucking unhealthy sport for young people the shit coaches make you do is BAAAAAD

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

college/pro league it can be even worse, shits terrible for your health

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can't find a source, but I think they're brothers that agreed not to fight if they made it to the finals?

4 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 1

Brothers? Not wanting to fight each other?! HERESY!

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I can't believe they'd go as far to say some shit like that

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn I missed it. Comment is deleted.

Wrestling tournaments can get really weird with weight classes. My neighbor won regionals by winning one match his teammates had to do 9.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I got state champ one year in t k d because nobody else my age was competing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some weight classes are stacked, some are empty and sometimes people just fail to show up but you cant make the 79Lb kid wrestle the 250lbs.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I wrestled in HS varsity i was in the 115 bracket and wrestled all the way up to 180 because there was no one in those brackets

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The higher you go - state - regionals etc the wider that margin gets.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well....you could...and it would he funny...but it would ultimately be wrong

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As one of the fat guys on the team it was always fun to have mock matches with the little guys

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or they might be at a tournament.

4 years ago | Likes 154 Dislikes 2

It’s both. When there’s a shortage of people in your weight class they’ll pair you up with someone on your team…which sucks

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Tournaments still have exhibition matches.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I was at a 7s tournie and both our teams got to the final. Played touch rugby and one team was naked. Rugby is a fun sport

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like that match had a lot of floppy sausages around the field.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definitely a tournament. And bad tactic, they could lose out on team points if the non-scorer won match.

4 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 9

It could be regionals or something where the top 2+ advance anyways. No reason to risk an injury if both are advancing anyways.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait there are states that allow multiple entries at a weight?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or maybe they know what they are doing since they have a coach and all? Maybe they don't want someone to get injured in a friendly bout? 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

maybe its a genius tactic and they don't care if they lose points because the overall benefit is much greater.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If a scoring wrestler wins, team gets points. If non scoring wins, no one gets points. Nothing genius about leaving pints unscored

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh really? Rock Paper Scissors is a bad tactic? In wrestling?

4 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 0

If the match had no bearing on team scores, it would be a fun way to handle it so as to not burn too much energy. But I doubt this is so.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Betting on it is a good way to make money hand over fist though

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, you never k own what assholes are gonna pull gun ot tsunami or some bullshit

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Tell me more about tsunami

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also, in my state (Ohio) that'd be flagged as unsportsman-like conduct. Refs expect teammates to wrestle competitively and not fool around.

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

Unfortunately, I totally agree here. One truth about life, you don't have to step on people, but you are competing against even the closest

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 38

of your peers. In almost all facets of life...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 34

would that stop me? no. no it wouldnt.
