She's at that sweet spot where she's just crazy enough to be awesome and not quite crazy enough to be scary. I like to think I'm at that sweet spot too.
Apparently the severe insecurity that comes with bipolar disorder prompts some sort of reproduction response. In other words, they feel like the world could come crashing down at any point so they need to make a baby, which manifests as freakiness. I have no way to verify that aside from a personal anecdote involving a previous girlfriend, but based on that, the pieces sure do fit.
