Yeah his mistake? He didn't slap it and say "that's not going anywhere!"

uh, you got a bit of a wobble there. I'm sure it'll shim right out

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Watching it over and over nothing looks like it cracked or split it looks like there was not enough support and improperly attached. U see 1 4x4 in the left corner nothing seems to appear center or front left. It seems like they used 1 4x4 and then nailed the lower deck into the upper deck and the nail came lose. Would have loves ro see it upclose after

This isn't how you should be checking the deck, but I guess it could've been worse if you were under it

Those frames gave out completely. 😭

This kind of wobble usually comes from undersized joists, wide spacing, or weak ledger/post connections. The framing isn’t stiff enough to work as one system, so it flexes every time there’s weight on it.

This is past DIY tightening territory. This needs a structural evaluation before someone tests gravity the hard way.

New steps to take testing wobbly decks! Looking forward to the videos!

Fixed the wobble.

Hogwartz contractors that did the stairs actually do some freelance stuff

The ground gave out on this dude and he fell to a new plane at like 30 degrees, and bro kept on his feet. Didn’t even seem like he lost his balance all that much. Pretty impressive, I’d have broken my neck.

Where's our friend who does structural investigation? (There's a better word but I'm crazy sleepy right now)

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"OHHH MY GAWWED!"

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like it was just attached to the other half of the deck and not supported underneath. Or the supports underneath completely quit.

I'm seeing a very scary lack of 6x6s

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Something this size and height definitely only requires 4x4s but there is also a clear lack of those at the moment...

How nice of them to censor him shitting himself

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll prove to my wife its not wobbly so i can show my friends the video of my wife being wrong.....

Mission accomplished.

Might have some rot/termites/ants there bud.

Or that he weighs like half a school bus.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Agreed but I'm rewatching and wondering if the resonance of him bouncing on one end contributed at all, too

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah...max weight exceeded!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

That deck should hold 30x his weight

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They blurred out his butthole!
